HEAVEN’S COURTS – PART 2

Heavens Courts
Bonnie Nelson
(Part Two)

The concept of the Courts of Heaven

Are the courts and councils in Heaven Biblical?
Is there a Scriptural Basis & Precedent For The Courts of Heaven?
Yes!

I will build my church ( = legislative, judicial government) and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)

Psalm 89:14 says: “Righteousness and justice are the foundations of His throne…”

Psalm 82:1 God stands up to open Heaven’s court and pronounces judgment.

The very foundation of Gods throne is Justice and righteousness. God is calling us to engage Mount Zion (not Mt. Sinai); to literally go into the Heavenly Zion and to learn, how to engage with and become part of, the Courts of Heaven and His Government.

“You have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God (the heavenly Jerusalem), to myriads of angels in festive gathering, to the assembly of the firstborn whose names have been written in heaven, to God who is the Judge of all, to the spirits of righteous people made perfect, to Jesus (mediator of a new covenant), and to the sprinkled blood, which says better things than the blood of Abel. Hebrews 12:22-24

Mountains speak of governmental realms and this is His governmental arena where we come to release Yahweh’s Legislation into the earth and to annul the contracts of Satan made against us.

Here “today” is your personal invitation to come up higher and become a part of the court system of heaven.

“Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 2:3)

“If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by. (Zechariah 3:7)

“For who has stood in the council of the Lord so as to see and to hear his word? Who has given heed to his word so as to proclaim it?” Jeremiah 23:18

Once the door in your mind has been opened, regarding a judicial system in heaven and the courts, every time you read the Word, you will be able to spot the judicial language used concerning the law, courts, decisions, decrees, judgments, accuser, advocate, witnesses, the Judge and such.

One of the most incredible things being revealed in studying The Courtrooms in Heaven is, it just might be the missing ingredient to add the “Power to the Punch” in our prayers. This should be a heads up to everyone in the Body of Christ, especially the Intercessors.

The whole concept behind the Heavenly Court is the premise of prayer and understanding the Courts of Heaven as a place to go to seek an answer regarding, as yet – unanswered prayers.

You may have prayed Battlefield prayers on earth or you might have prayed as David in Psalms with the Word of Yahweh in the Courts of Heaven and didn’t even realize it, because of the new terminology, Courts of Heaven. However, have no doubt, a lot of people who have been praying intensely for years without a break through are wondering if their prayers are just spoken to the wind? Could Yahweh be trying to reveal a new way to pray with better direction and legality? Maybe so.

In 1 Cor 9:26 Paul says:

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly, so fight I, not as one that beateth the air.

I didn’t understand this verse, until I checked out God’s Word Translation.

“So I run-but not without a clear goal ahead of me. So I box – but not as if I were just shadow boxing.

The interpretation in God’s Word helped me understand what Paul was saying, because I could relate to it. My dad was a World Champion Middleweight Golden Gloves Boxer and he used to show me how to shadow box and practice throwing punches, in order to defend myself as I was growing up.

Shadow boxing is where you make believe you are boxing someone, by the shadow your body throws upon a wall, but you never get hit. However, more importantly, you NEVER HIT the enemy either. It’s just a “me and my shadow” kind of thing. You are boxing all by yourself, dancing and prancing all around the room, but all you are doing is wearing yourself out and throwing punches to the wind.

So are we just shadow boxing with our prayers? Are some of our prayers being lost in the wind?

Are we missing something in our current lifestyle of prayer? Course if all your prayers are being answered and you are not dealing with any unanswered prayers, this teaching is probably not going to interest you. But, some people are beginning to realize, before we get on the battlefield on earth as a prayer warrior and take on every demon around, we might ought to think about taking our issues to the Courtroom of Heaven and see if the enemy has a “legal” right to mess with us.
Have you not heard Satan is a “Legalist?”

Jesus told his disciples (that’s us today), they should always pray and not give up. He used a parable in Luke 18 to try and give them a head’s up about a heavenly “judicial system.” Luke 18:1-8

1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

And in Luke 11:9-13

9″I am also saying to you, Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and it will be opened to you.”

10″For everyone who asks receives, and whoever seeks finds, and whoever knocks, it is opened to him.”

11Which of you is a father whose son will ask him for bread and would hand him a stone, and if he asks him for a fish will, instead of a fish, hand him a snake,”

12″And if he would ask of him an egg, would give him a scorpion?”

13″And if you, who are evil, know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give The Spirit of Holiness to those who ask him?”

Notice the references in these verses about a judicial system.

1) Jesus reveals “prayer meshed together” with a judicial system, where God is the Judge who is good and merciful “always.”

2) This woman (watch this) takes her case to the Judge, not her “adversary.” She was seeking a verdict, not a victory.

We too should be seeking a verdict (decrees/judgment) against our adversary, from our “Heavenly Father, which will provide us with the a legal decree/judgment in our favor in heaven to be manifested on the earth with all of heaven standing behind it.

3) This Judge will see that this woman gets justice and quick. (Luke 18:8) How many of you would love to have that verse applied to your prayer request. Take another look at this verse. How much faster will your Father in heaven answer your petition. I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.

This woman went into a courtroom, not a battlefield, to get a decree from a Judge in her favor. Could it be we should be doing that too? I say we ask the Courtroom in Heaven to be convened and we go in.
