How Christian Women Marry Muslim Men

Elisabeth Farrell 1/14/2015

Stories of love and romance sometimes turn into nightmarish tales of brutality done in the name of Allah.
You’ve seen her—the veiled, dark-robed woman in the checkout line at Wal-Mart or Target. She’s Muslim, you think to yourself, probably from the Middle East or Asia.
But on closer inspection, you discover that she has blue eyes. A few strands of sandy blond hair peek out from her head veil. Or perhaps she’s black and speaks with a distinctly American accent.
She’s not from the Middle East, you realize, but from your own backyard! In fact, she could be someone you went to high school with.
Why would an American woman marry a Muslim man and convert to his religion and way of life?
The answer might surprise you: She could have been tricked into conversion. And the result might be intense physical and emotional abuse.
In growing numbers, women all over the United States are marrying Muslim men from other countries. Many find themselves trapped in a nightmare of oppression, abuse and control, according to W.L. Cati, founder of White Horse Ministries (formerlly Zennah Ministries), an organization that reaches out to women married to Muslims.
“I should not be alive,” says Cati, an American woman who endured an abusive relationship with a Muslim man from the Middle East. After 14 years of horror, she managed to escape. Most women, she says, don’t make it out alive.
“I’m not bashing Muslims,” Cati says. “This is a morality issue. We’re talking human rights.
“They are allowed to beat their wives and children. They are even allowed to kill. And this is going on right here in the United States.”
Cati was born again in 1972. She loved the Lord and was in a full-time singing ministry. But when she met Muhammed, he swept her off her feet.
“He talked to me about his principles [and] family values,” she remembers. “That a wife doesn’t need to work, how a husband should be supportive of his wife. I thought, This is the man of my dreams. He was flamboyant, romantic, and passionate, and I fell head over heels for him.”
Cati’s Christian parents and friends tried to talk her out of it, but her mind was made up.
“The way he explained his religion sounded very much like my own,” she says. “He told me Allah meant ‘God’ in Arabic. He said that they believe in Jesus, heaven, hell, the Ten Commandments, angels, the prophets and the Bible.”
When Muhammed asked Cati to marry him, she said yes, promising to marry in a mosque and raise their children as Muslims.
During the ceremony, Cati repeated phrases in Arabic with no idea of what she was saying. After the ceremony, she read her marriage certificate and was shocked to find that her first name had been changed to a Muslim name and that she had converted to Islam. Her new husband assured her that it was “just on paper,” but suddenly Cati’s knight in shining armor turned into a nightmare.
“The more I submitted to his religion, the more he and his family had rights over me,” she explains. “He controlled everything—money, my decisions and my social life. He usually stayed out all night in strip bars or with other women. The physical abuse started while I was expecting our second child.”
On the outside, Cati’s life looked like a Hollywood fantasy—seven homes, a nine-carat tennis bracelet and any car she wanted. But inside she was experiencing a living hell. She called the police many times to report beatings and other abuse but never pressed charges.
“My husband always made me feel like it was my fault that he hit me,” she says. “I always ended up saying I was sorry to him.”
In the midst of Cati’s nightmare, her parents continued to pray for her. One day she and her husband rented their vacation home to a ladies’ group.
“I didn’t know they were Christians,” she says. “They came in and started praying over everything. They prayed that I would come back to Jesus.”
When Cati returned to the home, the Lord started speaking to her heart. A neighbor invited her to church, and surprisingly, her husband gave her permission to attend as long as she didn’t convert.
“That night at church,” she remembers, “I started crying and couldn’t stop. I can’t remember what was said, but God was talking to my heart.”
Eventually, Cati reconverted to Christianity, making a decision that enraged her husband. Their children became born again and prayed for the salvation of their father. Finally, Muhammed threw them out of the house.
Cati was penniless, but “there was no pain or tears,” she says. “God’s mercy and grace gave us freedom from the Muslim way of life.”
Sadly, Cati’s story is not unusual. Thousands of American women, including many born-again Christians, marry Muslim men. Most have no idea what Islam teaches about women or the rights it gives to their husbands.
For example, even though there are laws against polygamy in the United States, a Muslim man living here can marry up to four women—even if he already has a wife back in his own country. Marriages here are performed in a mosque, and if the couple does not apply for a marriage license, there is no way of showing the husband is already married.
According to Islam, a husband is allowed to beat his wife and children and to refuse to support his wife for any number of reasons. A father can beat a child who does not pray.
Wives do not jointly own property with their husbands; on the contrary, they are considered property themselves, the same as a house or a car. A wife can’t spend her husband’s money or allow anyone to enter his house—without his permission.
A wife inherits only a small portion of her husband’s wealth; the rest goes to his parents, brothers, uncles and children, and male children receive double the portion of female children. If a man states, “I divorce you,” three times to his wife’s face, he considers himself legally divorced. His wife is not entitled to any of her husband’s possessions, including his children.
There are no visitation rights in Islam.
“A woman under the Islamic system of marriage has no human rights unless we consider that a slave has rights under a slave system,” writes Dr. Nawal El Sa’dawi, who is Muslim, in her book, The Hidden Face of Eve. “Marriage, insofar as women are concerned, is just like slavery to the slave, or the chains of serfdom to the serf.”
Not every Muslim man is abusive to his wife and children or follows these religious teachings, but it is important for women to learn about Islam if they are considering marrying a Muslim.
“We need to educate our women on what Islam really is versus what it appears to be,” explains Nadia Maroudi, founder of Women Crossing Cultural Barriers, which is affiliated with Arab International Ministry. “They sell it as such a peaceful religion, and it’s not.”
One Muslim woman, for example, who is a medical doctor, told Maroudi that three of her patients were American women who had married Muslim men. Each man took his children back to his own country, then returned alone to a different city in the United States to marry another American woman (without divorcing his first wife) and start life all over again.
According to Voice of the Martyrs, an organization dedicated to aiding the persecuted church, the fast-paced growth of Islam in the West is due primarily not to conversion but to biological growth through marriage to Western women.
Maroudi was a born-again Christian when she married a Muslim from North Africa. He became a Christian after they were married, yet later divorced her because she could not have children.
“In his culture, in the first year of marriage the women are having babies,” she explains. “Even though he was a believer, he was having a hard time handling the demands of his culture and former religion, so he divorced me.”
While Maroudi was still married, the Lord challenged her to reach out to other women like herself. So she placed an ad in her local paper: “American Women Married to Muslims: Support group offering fun, fellowship and prayer.”
The calls started coming in, and Maroudi’s ministry was underway. “I was shocked at what was going on,” Maroudi says. Although her husband never physically beat her, she has met many women who are regularly abused.
For six years, Maroudi’s group has met regularly to share support and encouragement. Women who attend come from Christian, Jewish and nonreligious backgrounds.
“I strengthen them in who they are and stress they are valued because of Jesus,” Maroudi says. “I show them how to have a personal relationship with Him, [and] tell them what Christianity really believes versus what they’re taught at the mosque. I pray for opportunities to talk about Jesus without bashing their husbands’ religion.
“Muslims believe in a god,” she continues, “and when you tell them you’re going to help them become more godly, how can the men dispute that?” In fact, some Muslim men actually refer their wives to Maroudi’s meetings, although others forbid their wives to attend or even talk to her on the phone.
Maroudi wants to start similar ministry support groups in every major city in the United States “so that there’s not one woman who feels like I did,” she says.
Cati’s experiences also prompted her to launch an outreach to women married to Muslims. White Horse Ministries offers counseling, seminars and information services. “I promote the Lord Jesus and His ways and trust in Him to help make these women whole again,” Cati says.
“We have extensive research and firsthand Islamic experience. We can provide truth about Allah, the Quran, Muhammad and the last days. We want to help [these women] break the bondage and stand firm in their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord.”
Cati has written Married to Muhammed (Creation House Press), which provides graphic quotes from the Quran and Islamic holy texts—a shocking wake-up call to any woman considering a new life as the wife of a Muslim man. “I cut and pasted the information from their own [Islamic] Web sites,” Cati says, “so it is their words, not mine.”
Cati hopes to establish homes to help women who come out of abusive Islamic marriages. “Once you come out of an abusive, cultic situation, you need a place to go,” she says. “There are homes for drug addicts, but nothing for women who’ve been abused this way.”
Adds Maroudi: “If we can get these women saved and on the right road, [they] can affect the whole family. My husband converted because he saw the change in me. I changed from being a pew-sitter to living for Jesus. And my husband saw that.”
Perhaps God is bringing Muslim men to this country for just this reason—so that they can hear the gospel. And perhaps—if women like Cati and Maroudi continue to reach out—they will hear it through their wives.

Hello Firestorm
My spirit is grieving over what is happening in America and the World.  Here in the US we are watching another report from South Carolina about a horrendous murder scene where Dylann Roof, a 21 years old, took the lives of 9 innocent people. The reasoning behind it is still not fully understood, but authorities point to a young white man, involved with drugs, having issues with anger, hate, racism and according to medical professionals — one who must be dealing with mental illness.

Really? Mental Illness?
At this point, with the amount of savage murders we are experiencing in America and overseas from the radical ISIS Islamist group, do you really believe mental illness is the “root” of this violence?

Can we explain ALL the torture, beheadings, crimes and huge groups of people flocking to join ISIS armies, as being mental illness or is there something else at work here hidden deep behind the scenes? Could we really be dealing with demons?

It is hard to understand someone with mental illness plotting and performing these terrible murders, unless there is a spiritually demonic influence hiding under the guise of mental illness. If we can get past the desensitization of Hollywood Movies and begin to look at the reality of these events being demonic, we might be able to get a grip on what is happening and possibly get help for those who are being tormented and murdered.

But…. Is The Church and/or our culture really ready, willing and able to accept the reality of what The Bible says regarding demons, Hell and Satan?

Some people are beginning to realize something is happening in our world, which is more sinister than just mental illness. More and more on the news channels, I am hearing people say, “These events are “pure evil.” Well, evil belongs to the kingdom of Satan and his demons according to Scriptures.

Is Mental Illness Demonic Oppression and/or Demonic Possession.

Can we tell the difference?

Not, if we don’t believe in demons and the kingdom of Satan?

Reality or Fairytale?

You Decide

There is a growing and driving force happening today in the souls (mind/will/emotions) of some people who are hearing demonic voices constantly preaching hate, anger, murder and devising horrible crimes in the realm of the imaginations of their minds. Sooner or later there comes a time, when they suddenly “loose it”  or “break” and find themselves no longer listening, but actually birthing and living out some these plans in the real world, some even claiming to have no memory of saying or doing vile things.

How many times do you have to listen to someone battering and nagging you to do something over and over again, until you finally break and just do it, just to get peace.  You submit. The battle is over, the decision made and now, with a calm and cool attitude, the fruit of that spiritual battle, good or evil spews forth. Notice how drained and/or calm this young man appeared.  No more torment or nagging. He is relieved and free, for a time. The Assignment was carried out.

In a demonic battle, Satan has twice the victory, because he will torment a soul to kill and torture others and then, when he has accomplished his goal, the soul he uses may be executed, get locked up in prison or put in a mental institution.

Satan is hidden as all the blame is on the vessel he used, unless this is one of those times, when God gets blamed too. A double treat for Satan and his hoard who live on to target, torment and destroy more souls, especially but not only, the saints.

There can be no explanation of the root of these savage killings happening, except they are from the pit of hell and devised by Satan himself. This has his DNA all over it! Think About It!

Roof admits he shot and killed the people he’d sat with for Bible study at the historically black church, two law enforcement officials said. But, why? To start a race war. That’s what Roof told investigators, according to one of the officials.

My heart hurts at these words, “To start a race war.”

 I SAY NO!!!!

In the Name of Yahshua/Jesus, I will not be a part of coming against others because of the color of skin and become a pawn in the hands of Satan. Though there are some people in the world who have an issue with different nationalities, the Church of God does not. We are family.

I am so blessed to see the people who have lost loved ones come forth to forgive this man. Surely they trust the Lord with all their spirit, soul and body to be able to do this. To let the world see the light and love of God working in their hearts — what a testimony of God’s Love, instead of more hate, more anger and more murder.  May God be blessed by their forgiveness and prayers over this poor man who Satan used to rob, kill and destroy their friends and family.

 And What’s More….

 What Plans?

Plans to have us destroy one another, especially those who are believers.

Notice the attack was in The Church to cause separation, division and murder in God’s House.

Satan loves to mock God and destroy His House and Family

 How Do I Know That?

Satan is always trying to copy, counterfeit and pervert that which God has done and is doing.

He is not a creator, he is a destroyer.

In the Bible, God turned Israel’s enemies against themselves and Israel didn’t even have to fight, just collect the spoils. 2 Chronicles 20. (See below)  The people came together fell on their faces, the King called a fast, the Prophet’s spoke, the people sang, praised and worshiped and the Lord defeated their enemies by bringing confusion into their camp. They killed each other.

Satan wants to confuse us and copy what God did, so we will kill each other. Selah! (Think About It)

If the enemy of our souls can turn us against each other….black against white, whatever….think about it…..We are so busy fighting each other, the enemy rages and rejoices with more and more killing, more deception and more torture and demons celebrate and enjoy the rage, while many perish because of a lack of knowledge concerning spiritual things. If we fight against ourselves in the House of God, this Nation shall fall from within.

We don’t even suspect or realize what we are really dealing with is a diabolical plan of the devil and his demons taking over and destroying the souls of men, women and our children and hurting God.

Can Satan hurt God’s Heart?  Yes, how many of you have children who died before you?  It is said that when a child dies, it is as if a piece of you dies.  We are made in the image of God, don’t you know when one of His Children are destroyed, He feels that pain too. God is tender toward us and wishes that none would perish. That’s why Jesus came. Because God loved us so much, He gave His only begotten Son for us.

Satan’s plan is to have us destroy each other, especially the Church, by fighting amongst ourselves. In this latest attack by Dylann Roof, he really has no clue of what he did or what happened in the spirit realm, he probably thinks he did all this stuff on his own. The people forgiving him understand, it was not this man, but the demons working through him who killed their loved ones. Satan, the deceiver, is good at taking our focus off him and his deeds. He is the one working in the dark behind the scenes.

It would be good if the world could understand there are two kingdoms in the world, one is good and one is evil. You can tell who is at work by the fruit of the kingdom.  Satan revolves around mistaken identity and that is why he is called the great deceiver.

In the old Wild West Days, whenever people were under attack, they would circle the wagons. Shore up all the sides and come together to defend each other and their families. They knew their enemy,  they saw him and they worked together to defeat him. We need to help each other today, more than ever before in the history of our Nation.

How do we circle the wagons today, if we think the war is against each other?

Jesus died so there would be the one new man. (Eph 2:15) He brought us all together. There is no Jew, no Greek, No Gentile, No male or female, No white, red, black, tan skin that should be able to separates us if we are one with Him. (Gal 3:28)

He put us all together when He went on the cross. He died and sealed the deal with His Blood. We are the one new man.

It is up to us to come together, all the gentiles (nations), all the peoples to spread the good news, to see, expose and defeat the works and plans of the enemy and save souls for the Kingdom of Heaven.

Yes, there are people in this world who are dealing with a mental illness, however in what we are seeing in our Nation today, maybe along with the medical professionals we need some deliverance ministers to use some spiritual warfare and cast out the demonic beings Satan is using to bring division, destruction and death to God’s People, our Nation and the World.

Lord, let that which is hidden, be exposed and let Your Glory and Your Power shine through Your  People. Let us not be deceived by the enemy of our souls and come against each other.  Saturate us Father with Your Love, Wisdom and Discernment and bring us closer together as the family You created us to be.

Let Your Kingdom Come Lord and Come Quickly, in the Name of Jesus, The Christ of Nazareth…..Yahshua Hamashiach    \o/

2 Chronicles 1-26

20 It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.

And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.

And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court,

And said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,

If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.

10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;

11 Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.

12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

13 And all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

14 Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation;

15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

16 To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.

17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.

18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshipping the Lord.

19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.

22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

25 And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

26 And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the Lord: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.

Hello Firestorm:
The following was a post sent out from two prayer warriors: Martin & Norma Sarvis in Jerusalem.  This is not your traditional format for requesting prayer. They are requesting prayers for Netanyahu yes, but then it takes on a whole new perspective. They also included information about Israel, Purim, the reading from a historical document about Esther and sharing things regarding the celebrations included with Purim.

200-year old Megilat-Esther (Scroll of Esther) on parchment,
passed down from Norma Sarvis’ ancestors in Belarus.

It is incredible the depth of what is shared in this post. I have never seen a prayer covering like this and it makes me realize how much of a novice I am in regard to prayer. Though the post was sent out on March 2, the information contained is relevant today.  Martin and Norma, not only asked for prayer for Mr. Netanyahu, but they took the time to bring forth detailed info regarding the historical Israel culture, personal insight into Mr. Netanyahu’s understanding of the responsibility upon his shoulders for his Nation, political savy as to the climate of the US Government and other noted World Leaders and Nations regarding his speech, the timing of his visit and his need to seek the Lord before he came.

I pray you will be blessed at the cultural information, the insight into Mr. Netanyahu as a leader of Israel, the focus on his speech and travel, the requests for prayer, including the one asking for Fear of the Lord to rest upon him. Plus, after the references list, note the teachings from the Torah.

I am reminded of the disciples when they asked Jesus to teach them how to pray.  This is an exceptional teaching example of people bringing forth a prayer covering for Mr. Netanyahu, in which we can glean valuable insight. I am truly blessed the Lord sent this post through one of his servants to share with me (us).
I pray you will take the time to read through this post.

This coming Thursday (3/5/15 – beginning sundown Wednesday evening) is Purim-the day Jews celebrate their remarkable deliverance in Persia (modern day Iran) in 483 B.C. from a plot to exterminate them.
(Purim is from a word for a “lot” which was cast to determine the date upon which the extermination was to take place).
It is a joyous occasion: the Scroll (Book) of Esther will be read-there are Purim plays and costumes, and special pastries and desserts and wine.
In most of the Jewish world, Purim is celebrated on the 14th of Adar (March 5 this year). In Jerusalem, Jaffa, Akko and other ‘walled cities’, it will be celebrated, as with ancient Susa (Hebrew: Shushan; See Esther 9:18-19), on the following day, Friday the 6th.
Although these are days for rejoicing and feasting (Esther 9:18-19)-for the observant, they are preceded by days of sobriety and fasting.
Esther 9:31 tells of Mordechai and Queen Esther, after the great deliverance, prescribing annual times for fasting and lamentation in remembrance of those fast-days which the Queen had called for her Jewish subjects when their entire race was in danger of annihilation by Haman, and she was preparing herself to seek the favor of the King.
The “Esther Fast” for this year will take place from dawn to sundown Wednesday March 4th.
As was our focus last week, Purim is a season when we are made especially aware of the victory of our Lord over the Spirit of Amalekwith which He continues to war from generation to generation (Ex. 17:15-16).
To review once again: The Amalekites were a real people, who throughout the Hebrew Scriptures came to epitomize and symbolize a covenant-hating spirit, especially that of anti-Semitism. They were Israel’s first enemies after her deliverance from Egypt (Ex. 17:8). They preyed on her, picking off the weak straggling in the rear (See Deut. 25:17-19).
One of the names for God is Elohim-Chaim, the “Life-God”. His covenants are covenants of Life; those with Israel are on behalf of ultimate blessing for all humankind. He therefore grants “no quarter” to those who threaten His Covenant purposes; their remembrance is to be“blotted out from under heaven.”
When King Saul failed to do this, (I Sam.15) his kingdom was torn away from him (indeed, it would be an Amalekite who in the end claimed to have killed him, II Sam. 1:6-10).
Centuries later, it would be Haman, a descendant of Agag (the Amalekite king whom Saul had spared) who, as recorded in the Book of Esther, would contrive to ignite the first Holocaust. With the hatred Satan has for Israel and her redemptive call, it is indeed a miraculous banner of divine grace flying over her (Exodus 17:15) which has sustained her and brought her, still an entity and with her ancient language restored, back to her native Land.
As we approach this time of Purim, as we see the Spirit of Amalek again stirring in the world, especially in Iran (modern Persia), where it is striving furiously to devise weapons capable of bringing its dire predictions regarding Israel to fulfillment, we would encourage you to take this season seriously.
As mentioned above, on Wednesday March 4thpracticing Jews around the world will observe a one-day fast. Read through the Book of Esther; perhaps the Lord may lead you to join with us in the fast.
Vehi Sh’Amdah is an ancient prayer sung at Passover-but it is equally appropriate today as we celebrate God’s deliverance, and allow Him to lift our heads to hope and declare that deliverance into our future:
And this is that (promise) which sustained our fathers and us.
That it is not one
(enemy) alone that stood up against us to destroy us.
But that in each generation there are those standing up against us to destroy us
Saturday evening the writer arrived home to see across the valley the flashing blue lights of an official motorcade descending Mount Zion. The next morning we would discover that it had been conveying Israel’s Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu home after a visit to the Western Wall.
The prime minister said that he had wished to visit Judaism’s holiest site before departing Sunday morning for the U.S. where he is slated to address the joint houses of Congress at 11:00 Tuesday morning.
The speech comes amid the strongest contention between heads of the two governments in decades. Netanyahu is convinced that an agreement currently being formulated between six nations (the US, Russia, China, France, Germany, Britain) and Iran for putting limits on Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for relief from economic sanctions is ignoring factors which could endanger Israel’s very existence.
In his speech he plans to explain why. He is coming at the invitation of the Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner. Polls show that the majority of Americans feel that he should give the speech. But the White House is fiercely against it.
It has planned no high-level meetings with the visiting Israeli head of state. The titular head of the other house of Congress, Vice President Biden, will not be present for the speech. Nor will Secretary of State John Kerry.
In fact, on Tuesday morning as Mr. Netanyahu is laying out what are in his view the grave dangers of the direction the present ‘talks’ are proceeding, Mr. Kerry will be in Montreux, Switzerland conferring with Iran’s Foreign Minister Zarif, who this past week labeled Netanyahu’s planned speech “an old policy to intimidate and spread lies in order to prevent peace in the region.Through scaremongering, falsification, propaganda and creating a false atmosphere even inside other countries, (Israel) is attempting to prevent peace”
1. On Tuesday, President Obama’s national security adviser Susan Rice, issued a sharply critical statement regarding Netanyahu’s trip to America two weeks before Israeli elections, saying the decision” injected a degree of partisanship, which is not only unfortunate, I think it’s destructive of the fabric of the relationship[between Israel and the United States].
2. That there exists a growing uneasiness within the Republican-majority Congress itself regarding the outcome of the negotiations going on in Geneva was evidenced this week by a bill introduced in the Senate, an “Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act”, which would require that the text of any agreement with Iran be submitted to Congress within five days of conclusion of a final deal.
It would also prohibit the President from suspending or waiving sanctions passed by Congress against Iran for 60 days after any deal. On Saturday the White House sent word that such a bill sent to the President should be expected to be immediately vetoed; “The president has been clear that now is not the time for Congress to pass additional legislation on Iran”
3. Before leaving for America with his wife Sara on Sunday morning, Netanyahu declared himself to be going “as an emissary of all the citizens of Israel and the entire Jewish people.”
Earlier in the week, after a trip to the grave of his late father Benzion Netanyahu, he referred to the famous historian,
He said to always look at the threats endangering our people. He said that one of the things that was lacking in Jewish history was seeing in real time what endangers our existence.
My [Benyamin Netanyahu’s] responsibility is to worry not only about the State of Israel, but also the future of the Jewish people, to stand up and raise our voice.
Seventy, eighty years ago no one could raise their voice when there were plans to destroy us. Today there is, and it is my obligation.
4. While visiting the Western Wall, he said, “I want to take this opportunity to say that I respect US President Barack Obama. I believe in the strength of the relationship between Israel and the US and in their strength to overcome differences of opinion, those that have been and those that will yet be.”
Yet, he emphasized that as Prime Minister, it is his responsibility to be concerned about Israel’s security, “and for that reason we strongly opposed the agreement being formulated between the world powers and Iran that could endanger Israel’s very existence.”
5. According to officials in his office, Netanyahu genuinely believes this to be an historic moment, out of which the best-case scenario would be that policy makers would be compelled “to rethink concessions that they are willing to make to the Iranians.”
6. The President arrived in Washington Sunday afternoon. He gives a speech Monday morning to the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) annual policy conference; his Congressional speech is Tuesday at 11:00, after which he will have lunch with a bipartisan group of congressional leaders before flying back to Israel, arriving just before the beginning of Purim.
* That the fear of the Lord rest upon Benyamin Netanyahu as he completes preparation of His speech. It is well known that the prime minister continues working on his addresses right up to the moment at which they are given.
Pray that He inquire of God for divine counsel (Psalm 33:11), and that in God’s mercies his speech will be imbued with truth.
*That God grant him favor, discretion and power in his delivery.
*That if God has a message of warning, which He is choosing to release in sending this man to Washington, those who have ears to hear will hear-and themselves enquire of God for how to proceed with what they hear.
*For protection over Netanyahu and his family, both in their going and their coming.
*That in His mercies, the “God in Heaven who reveals secrets. Who reveals deep and secret things; Who knows what lies in darkness, and Light dwells with Him” (Daniel 2:28, 22), would bring to light any plots of the enemy which are attempting to be released outside the timings of God. Pray that there would be no ‘covenants of death’ signed by the superpowers regarding Iran.

From ancient times there has been a weekly portion (Parasha) from the first five books of Moses (The Torah) and an ending (Haftarah) from the Prophets read on the Sabbath in synagogues around the world. This portion is given a Hebrew name drawn from the opening words of the Torah passage. An illustration of this practice appears to have been recorded in Luke 4:16 where Yeshua (Jesus) arrived in the synagogue in Nazareth and was asked to read the portion (Isaiah 61) from the Prophets.

We have found that in perusing these weekly readings, not only are we provided opportunity to identify in the context of God’s Word with millions of Jewish people around the world, but very often the Holy Spirit will illumine specific passages pertinent that week in our intercession for the Land and people of Israel. All texts are those of English translations of the Scriptures.

The readings for the weekend of 7 March 2015 are called Ki-Tisa-“When You Elevate”:
TORAH: Exodus 30:11-34:35
HAFTARAH: I Kings 18:1-39
*Exodus 30:11-12“Then YHVH spoke to Moses, saying: ‘When you take the census of the children of Israel for their number.”
“Take the Census” is “to raise up (Ki Tisa) the heads”, in some ways similar to our English expression “to take a head-count.” This was to be accompanied by a ransom, shekel tax, being paid by everyone counted, otherwise the people would find protection lifted and themselves opened to plague (vs 12). Perhaps it was through neglect of these instructions that King David would bring plague upon his own people in II Samuel 24.

*Exodus 31:2-5.“See, I have called by name Betzalel.and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom in intelligence, in knowledge, and in all craftsmanship, to design artistic works.and I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiav.and in the heart of all gifted artisans [Heb: wise-hearts] I have put wisdom to make all I have commanded.”

The name Betzalel means, “In the shadow of God.” Aholiav means, “Father is my tent.” The safe place for all creative beings is under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1)-within the tent of our Father (Psalm 27:5). It is He who desires to fill artists (there are many artistic skills mentioned here) with His Spirit to “make all that He commands.” Tragically, at the very time these instructions were being given to Moses on the mountain, Aaron (most certainly not moving under “the shadow of God”), was being coerced by the desires of those around him to use his creative gifts in fashioning an idol (Ex. 32:4). Rather than being used by the Holy Spirit to aid the people in worshipping the true God, the creative fashioning of his hands would itself be worshipped.
PLEASE PRAY: for godly “Betzalels” and “Aholiavs” to be nurtured and brought forth in Israel today, that they will move in a humble awareness that their creative gifts, wisdom, intelligence, knowledge and craftsmanship are from God, to fulfill a work for His glory-His is their high destiny. Pray that they seek to be filled by His spirit-and resist the spirit of the world which seeks to divert the creativity of man (who was made in the Image of a creative God) away from honoring his Maker. Pray that they realize that He knows them and (as with Betzalel) calls them by name!

*Exodus 31:17.“It [i.e. the Sabbath] is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days YHVH made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He ceased work and was refreshed.”

We should be cautious about saying things like “Although God ceased work on the seventh day, it wasn’t because he was tired and in need of a rest, etc.” Of course there are mysteries here deeper than we can understand; nevertheless, this passage states clearly that on the seventh day God “ceased work and was refreshed.” The word for “refreshed” literally could be rendered “was souled”. So David could confidently speak of the LORD as One who intimately understands his weary servant’s needs so as to “restore my soul!” (Psalm 23:3).

*Exodus 32:1-5, 19. The children of Israel were a people sovereignly chosen and set-apart by God. Last week we saw how from among these people Aaron and his house were themselves chosen to minister before the LORD as His priests (Exodus 28:1). And of course, Moses was raised up from birth to oversee and lead the people. Yet it will become abundantly clear in this reading that none of these callings, choosings and positionings were because of the righteousness of the people; alas, all are under sin (Romans 3:9). That will have to be faced, acknowledged and dealt with.

The people, who, a short time before, had “with one voice” twice promised, even in the context of covenant, that “All the words which YHVH has said we will do.we will be obedient” (Exodus 24:3, 7), this people, after Moses is gone for less than a month, abandon their promise and demand of Aaron to make new gods to go before them (32:1). Aaron, who had been warned against giving in to “mob rule” (23:2), under the first pressure does so-in so doing breaking the 1st and 2nd Commandments.
He then breaks God’s command (20:23) not to “make anything to be with Me” by proclaiming a feast to YHVH along with the worship of the idol he has just fashioned. And Moses, to whom God had given the tablets of stone, Commandments which would be the basis for all other Law, tablets which God had written, to be used by Moses in teaching the people (24:12)-tablets which were themselves the “work of God” upon which was engraved the “writing of God” written with “the finger of God” (32:16; 31:18)-Moses, in a fit of anger, paid no attention to all of that and smashed them to pieces.

*Exodus 32:11-13.“Then Moses pleaded with the LORD his God [Hebrew: ‘yearned after the face of YHVH his God’]and said, ‘LORD, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people.Turn from Your fierce wrath and relent from this harm to Your people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, “I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your seed, and they shall inherit it forever.”‘”

In Exodus 32:32 Moses continues to stand in the gap, pleading that they be forgiven for their sin.
PLEASE PRAY: for spiritual leaders to have the zeal, unction, love and grace to seek the face of God on behalf of errant Israel; to prevail in intercession to turn away His just wrath that His eternal will for her will be fulfilled on earth as it is in heaven.
*Exodus 32:19“So it was, as soon as he came near the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing. So Moses’ anger became hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.”
PLEASE PRAY: for the souls (Psalm 25:1, 20) of Israeli spiritual leaders-that they not be controlled by their emotions-that they allow the Holy Spirit to work His self-control. There is a place for godly zeal, but the “anger of man does not work the righteousness of God” (James 1:20). It would be an eruption of this same anger some time later which would in the end bar Moses from entering the Promised Land.

*Exodus 33:7-11.“Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the ‘tent of meeting’. And it came to pass that everyone who sought the LORD went out to the tent of meeting which was outside the camp. And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tent, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tent, and talked with Moses. So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tent.”

In Exodus 25:22,
The LORD had given instructions regarding the disposition of the Mishkan (Dwelling Place/Tabernacle) so that He might meet at appointed times with a representative of His people. But here, Moses prepares a place so that he or anyone else might choose to make his own appointed meetings with God-and God honored those times with His presence. Although His face would not be seen (vs 20), He nevertheless met face to face with those who chose to draw near. Alas, besides Moses, only Joshua (who would one day be prepared to lead Israel into Canaan) appears to have taken advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
PLEASE PRAY: For Israeli believers, in all the rush and hurry, to go beyond ‘head knowledge’ of the Law and the Prophets and the Gospel-and avail themselves of the privilege of setting aside a ‘place’ for private, intimate times Face to Face with God!

*Exodus 33:15.“Then he said to Him, ‘If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.”

Here the word “presence” is literally “Face”. Psalm 44:3 says, “It was not by our sword that we took the land, nor did our arm bring us the victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the Light of Your Face, for You loved us!”

*Exodus 33:13, 18.“Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people..Please, show me Your glory.”

PLEASE PRAY: for leaders in Israel (both believers and those still secular), to like Moses be moved to call on the LORD for guidance to be shown His way. Pray that we find grace in His sight, that our leadership will be fueled and heartened by longings after his Glory and glimpses of His Beauty (Psalm 27:4).

*Exodus 33:21-22.“And the LORD said, ‘Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by.

Centuries later, the prophet Elijah fleeing from the wrath of Jezebel would come to this same mountain, and the Hebrew of I Kings 19:9 says He went into the cave to spend the night-and there the Word of the LORD came to him. Jewish teachers have traditionally identified this cave with that same “cleft” in which Moses had been placed by God.

*Exodus 34:6-7.“YHVH, YHVH-Elohim, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in loving kindnesss and truth (Hebrew: chesed v’emet), keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.”

The Hebrew word used here for “forgiving” is nasah (That for “pardon” in vs 9 is a different word). Nasah has to do with “lifting, carrying, bearing away”-something which only God Himself would be able to do for the “iniquity, transgression and sin of thousands”. This is the word used in Hebrew translations of John 1:29 when John announces the Son of God, “Behold! The Lamb of God who bears away the sin of the world!”

Life is certainly getting complicated.  Here are two articles that are extremely relevant to The Church, our families, you and I.       May The Lord intercede for us and our Nation.

Houston Mayor Annise Parker

Officials with the city of Houston, Texas, who are defending a controversial ordinance that would allow men to use women’s restrooms now have demanded to see the sermons preached by several area pastors.
The recent move came in a subpoena from the city to pastors for copies of their sermons and other communications in the city’s legal defense of a “non-discrimination” measure that allows “gender-confused” people to use public restrooms designated for the opposite sex.
A lawsuit challenging Houston’s move alleges the city violated its own charter in its adoption of the Equal Rights Ordinance, which in May designated homosexuals and transgender persons as a protected class.
Critics say the measure effectively enables sexual predators who dress as women to enter female public bathrooms, locker rooms and shower facilities. A coalition of activists that includes area pastors filed suit Aug. 6 against the city and lesbian Mayor Annise Parker after officials announced a voter petition to repeal the measure didn’t have enough signatures to qualify for the election ballot.
Parker, who has acknowledged the ordinance is “all about me,” was legally married to her same-sex partner in California in January.
The Alliance Defending Freedom has filed a motion to quash the city’s demands to see the sermons. ADF argues the pastors are not party to the lawsuit, and the city’s strategy doesn’t meet the requirements of state law that requires such efforts “be reasonably calculated to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence, not be overly broad, seek only information that is not privileged and relevant to the subject matter of the litigation, and not cause undue burden or harassment.”
ADF said city officials “are upset over a voter lawsuit filed after the city council rejected valid petitions to repeal a law that allows members of the opposite sex into each other’s restrooms.”
ADF attorneys say the city is “illegitimately demanding that the pastors, who are not party to the lawsuit, turn over their constitutionally protected sermons and other communications simply so the city can see if the pastors have ever opposed or criticized the city.”
“City council members are supposed to be public servants, not ‘Big Brother’ overlords who will tolerate no dissent or challenge,” said ADF Senior Legal Counsel Erik Stanley. “In this case, they have embarked upon a witch hunt, and we are asking the court to put a stop to it.”
ADF Litigation Counsel Christiana Holcomb said the city’s subpoena of sermons and other pastoral communications is needless and unprecedented.
“The city council and its attorneys are engaging in an inquisition designed to stifle any critique of its actions. Political and social commentary is not a crime; it is protected by the First Amendment,” she said.
While the public submitted more than three times the legally required number of petition signatures to require city action, and the city secretary certified the number as sufficient, the mayor and city attorney “defied” the law and rejected the certification, ADF said.
“The message is clear: oppose the decisions of city government, and drown in unwarranted, burdensome discovery requests,” said a brief in support of the motion to quash. “These requests, if allowed, will have a chilling effect on future citizens who might consider circulating referendum petitions because they are dissatisfied with ordinances passed by the city council.
“Not only will the nonparty pastors be harmed if these discovery requests are allowed, but the people will suffer as well. The referendum process will become toxic and the people will be deprived of an important check on city government provided them by the charter.”
WND has reported similar measures in other jurisdictions across the country. Opponents point to incidents such a man in Indianapolis who allegedly went into a women’s locker room at a YMCA and watched girls, ages 7 and 10, shower.
Opposition in Houston was led by a coalition including the Baptist Ministers Association of Houston, the Houston Area Pastor Council, the Houston Ministers against Crime, AME Ministers Alliance of Houston/Gulf Coast, the Northeast Ministers Alliance, the South Texas Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship, the South Texas District of the Assemblies of God and the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference.
The coalition had submitted more than 55,000 signatures in the referendum drive. City Secretary Anna Russell confirmed in writing Aug. 1 that the petition sponsors had submitted 17,846 qualified signatures, nearly 600 above the minimum 17,269.
However, City Attorney David Feldman announced 2,750 petitions were invalid because of “technical problems.”
Opponents have argued Feldman did not have the authority to step in and make the decision and that it should have been handled by the courts.
Critics dubbed the Houston law the “sexual predator protection act,” claiming that by designating transgender or gender-confused persons as a protected class, women and children are threatened by predators seeking to exploit the ordinance’s ambiguous language.
Political activist Steven F. Hotze said the ordinance would establish minority status for transvestites, allowing men who dress as women to enter women’s public bathrooms, locker rooms and shower facilities.
“I want to protect my wife, daughters and granddaughters from being exposed to the dangers of male sexual predators masquerading as women in women’s public bathrooms and other facilities,” he said. “This is why it has been called the Sexual Predators’ Protection Act.”
Similar cases also have erupted in Maryland, Florida and Colorado, which adopted a radical “transgender nondiscrimination” bill in 2008 that makes it illegal to deny a person access to public accommodations, including restrooms and locker rooms, based on gender identity or the “perception” of gender identity. One consequence of the law is a ruling forcing authorities to permit 6-year-old Coy Mathis – a boy who says he thinks he’s a girl – to use the girls bathroom at his elementary school.
Nationwide, 17 states and the District of Columbia have embraced the transsexual agenda. Rhode Island added “gender identity and expression” to its anti-discrimination law in June with the support of Gov. Jack Markell, and Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden announced his support in an Equality Delaware video.
But other attempts to advance the transsexual agenda were defeated in Montana, Missouri, North Dakota and New York, where state Senate leaders refused to allow a vote.

The Obama administration is solidly behind the move to open locker room doors to some members of the opposite sex.

  • President Obama signed the U.N. Declaration on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity;
  • The White House hosted the first-ever meeting with transgender activists;
  • The Department of State made it easier for transsexuals to change the sex indicated on passports;
  • The U.S. Justice Department sided with a transsexual individual in an employment discrimination suit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives;
  • The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ruled for the first time last year that “gender identity or expression” in the workplace is protected under federal civil rights law;
  • The Office of Personnel Management inserted “gender identity” for the first time into its federal workplace anti-discrimination policy;
  • The American Psychiatric Association removed “gender identity disorder” from its list of mental health ailments in late 2012, a move some regarded as a lifting of the social stigma attached to transsexual behavior.

Pastors of Houston, Shout It From the Rooftops This Sunday

Steve Riggle
Pastor Steve Riggle (with bullhorn) addresses news media and the public at a heavily attended news conference concerning Houston’s proposed “anti-discrimination ordinance” outside City Hall in May.
In an outrageous act of overreach that the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) rightly branded “an inquisition” and a “witch hunt,” the city of Houston has demanded that hundreds of pastors preaching on themes relating to homosexuality and gender identity turn their sermons over to the government for inspection.
So much for the idea that electing a lesbian activist for mayor would have no negative consequences on the religious freedoms of the people of Houston. So much for gay-activist “tolerance.”
It was bad enough when Mayor Annise Parker undermined the will of the state by campaigning nationally for the redefinition of marriage when the people of Texas had declared in overwhelming fashion that they did not want marriage redefined.
And it was bad enough when she began to refer to her partner as the “first lady.” (What does that make Mayor Parker?)
But it went beyond bad when Parker made clear that getting an LGBT ordinance passed in Houston was an “intensely personal” thing to her. Yes, she said, “The debate is about me. … It’s not academic. It is my life that is being discussed.”
What happened to her being an elected official who was put in office to serve the people? What of the massive outpouring of calls to other elected officials protesting the bill?
As the Rev. Max Miller of the Baptist Ministers Association of Houston and Vicinity stated in response to Parker’s public comments, “One thing we did hear: It’s personal. You cannot represent the people of this city on a personal matter.”
Or, as expressed by conservative City Councilman Michael Kubosh, also responding directly to Parker in the same public meeting, “I know you say it’s about you, but, mayor, this is really about all of us. It’s not really about you; it’s about everybody here.”
At the heart of the opposition to the bill was concern expressed over the transgender bathroom ordinance. This would allow anyone who identified as transgender to use the bathroom of their choice, regardless of their biological sex, thereby ignoring the rights of a multitude of women and men who would find this a real intrusion.
As noted by Steve Riggle, senior pastor of Grace Community Church and an Executive Committee member of the Houston Area Pastor Council (HAPC), “Forcing women in particular using city facilities to be subjected to cross-dressing men invading their privacy is beyond the pale and offensive to every standard of decency.”
The bill also would open the door to potential sexual predators who could use this ordinance as a guise for their perversion.
Unfortunately, Parker was able to push the bill through, despite the opposition, also succeeding in having a petition thrown out that challenged the bill. (It appears that the petition was wrongly rejected as well.)
Now, in a ridiculous attempt to retaliate against those pastors and bully them, Parker’s office is demanding that these Christian leaders turn over their sermon texts relating to homosexuality and transgender issues. Pastor Riggle was even “ordered to hand over ‘all communications with members of your congregation’ regarding the non-discrimination law.”
For good reason, the ADF stated that the mayor’s actions were “overbroad, unduly burdensome, harassing, and vexatious,” and they should be flatly rejected for those very reasons. As the ADF explained, “the city is illegitimately demanding that the pastors … turn over their constitutionally protected sermons and other communications simply so the city can see if the pastors have ever opposed or criticized the city.”
In light of this egregious example of gay-activist bullying—the very kind that I and others have documented for years now—I urge every pastor in the city of Houston to address the issues of homosexuality and transgenderism this Sunday, announcing this for the entire world to hear but at the same time, refusing to obey the unrighteous decree of Mayor Parker’s office to turn your sermons over for government scrutiny. (This should be done respectfully, in the spirit of Acts 4:19-20; 5:28-29.)
I also urge every congregational member in Houston to tell your pastors that you are standing with them, encouraging them to stand up for what is right in the face of bullying and intimidation.
To my fellow leaders in Houston and around America, let’s seize this moment and use it for the glory of God, preaching His love for all people and His real interest in those who identify as LGBT while at the same time proclaiming that His ways are best, that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, and that gender distinctives are not to be discarded or despised.
You have been given a unique opportunity in American history. Now is your time to shine boldly, publicly and without shame.
We are all standing with you.

Hello Firestorm:

Everyone is talking about the Jewish New Year. Last week Pastor Linus spoke on it and this morning Sandy Powell brought forth more information.  I am not sure if everyone understands what the Jewish New Year is or signifies for us. The following prophetic article from Prophet Phyllis brings forth some good information for us to ponder and a prophetic word regarding the Jewish New Year:  5775
A couple of things I want to add regarding the number 5 and the word Grace.
Though tradition and book after book list the number 5 definition in the spirit as “Grace,” it can also spiritually mean: “to serve.”
In regard to the word Grace, which we immediately define as “the unmerited favor of God,” it can also spiritually mean “Power.”
In the Scripture John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Keep in mind it can also read, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of POWER and TRUTH.
Maybe the Lord is saying we shall have His Power to Serve.
May the Lord give you fresh revelation and understanding regarding His Kingdom and who you are in it this day, in the Name of Yahshua.
Blessings, bon

The Word of the Lord for the Hebrew Year 5775

Prophet Phyllis Ford
September 2014
What is the meaning behind 5775?
“This day is designated by God’s word as an appointed time.  It begins on the First day of seventh Hebraic month according to Leviticus 23:23-25. As most people understand the beginning of the year to be January 1st that date is based upon the Gregorian calendar, but according to God’s word the New Year or the Head of the year begins on the first date of Tishri based on the Hebrew calendar.”
For those of you who are interested researching this, here is a link that might be helpful to you:
Many statements have been made concerning this year.  One of them is that this year will represent GRACE.  Though that is true the grace that we are referring to carries with it the Lord’s strength and power.  The Father’s light and glory is the power of this grace.  It refers to His ability to accomplish things that we are not able to do in our own strength.  This last year represents the year of the open door, but this year Yeshua enters into the door and extends His great light and revelation.  He will make good on His promises concerning many matters than began last year.
The Lord will also seal, solidify and secure what he began in 5774.  It is especially true to those who have been diligent and faithful towards Him.  We are entering a time where we will see blessings released and placed upon His people based on the individual’s heart.  This marks a serious time of assessment of the land, and of the people concerning what has been done up until now.
“Teshuah”  means deliverance.  It also means help, salvation, and victory.  One of the key definitions mean “to rescue”.  Many will perceive this to be the time of “the rapture”, but the only thing we can say for sure is that this time will be filled with endtime indicators.  Indicators such as warnings, along with a need for preparation . So that we may advance, grow spiritually, and repent from wrong doing.
This time speaks of the reality that if there is no change then there will be an unexpected judgment that befalls a people unaware.  There will be a strong Apostolic release of God’s order.  A order based on His ordinances lining up according to His plumbline.  There is a renewed call to arms. It will be a time of great warring on various levels and realms.  Many battles will be won through strong prayer and strong worship, and the combination of the two warring together will create a fierce force like a whirlwind.  A mighty whirlwind carrying with it the capability to demonstrate kingdom dominion and the power to overcome all obstacles.
“Hey”  (5) represents the picture of a man with raised hands.  The key words are, “look, reveal, breath, and behold”.  The raised hands of the man symbolize a total surrender, and a true worship.
Worship this year will be like a divine breath, a revelation and a light. In this time creative power will be enhanced.  The power to create with one’s words and one’s worship will be released and increased. (Genesis 1:3-4, Psalm 33:6.)
It is the understanding of God joining and entering into our endeavors. Knowing that as a result of our brokenness and humility He redeems us in the face of our troubles (inabilities).  “This is the Christ in us” that gives us the ability to do what can not be done apart from Him, and it is the birthing process coming into full measure.  (As the manifested Sons of God coming into full term.)
“Zayin”  (7) represents the sword.  It is a sword of wisdom but more specifically it is a sword of truth.
The key words are, “food, to cut, nourishment, speaks of war, and even warring for food” (both spiritually and naturally).  Along with other words it represents wholeness and blessings.  God adding what was missing to bring things and matters into a time of completion.  God prospering and causing that which He has ordained to flourish as it reflects His royalty and displays His truth.  Making the words of His own mouth manifest along with the patterns being revealed to His watchmen.
Zayin has a strong inference to the prophetic watch and strong prophetic intercession.  An emphasis on the prophetic being fulfilled and revealed as the truth and new reality of the day.  A time when we can rest in the understanding that God will do what He has said.  That understanding carries words that will nourish, cleanse, and heal us bringing substance and completion to that which God has spoken.  They are also those who are armed with God’s truth that make war reflecting His glory like a crown.
Double, Double & 55, 77 = Exponential Power.
A time of overflow and double portion of the Lord upon our lives.  We will see the Lord entering into the door of His beloved to bring Glory, revelation, and light through working of signs, wonders, creative miracles, and the manifestation of what was mentioned above.
The Lord himself will open doors that could not be open before.  The church of today must be transformed to be an effective place of refuge.  It must be overflowing in His light, His truth, and His creative flow.  Without a major shift, the church will not carry the impact for this hour.
Many battles in the church will arise because of those who carry the spirit of rebellion, the spirit of religion, and the spirit of offense.  They will be those refusing to unify. God will raise up an apostolic group to deal with those spirits.  While others ministers will walk in love to rescue the lost and will engage in world evangelism.
There will be an emphasis on raising up a people who are mission minded but carry a certain boldness.  (Key Words: Boldness, Purity of Purpose, & Integrity!)  Be prepared to see a strong angelic intervention throughout this year . [5 Grace 7 Perfection 7 Perfection 5 Grace]
The revelation is that God’s grace leads us through the process of perfecting and in God’s process of perfecting we realize that we need more of God’s grace. In other words 5 will always lead you to 7, but 7 will always lead you back to 5.
“For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]?  Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]!  And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shoutings of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it!”   Zechariah 4:7 AMP.
The Lord gave me a revelation about Zechariah 4:7.  The prophetic word spoken to Zerubbabel was that the mountain that was before him was but a plain.
Prophetic intercession is a powerful key that will assist in the completing of the building process that is before us.  When the Zerubbabels of our day arise and initiate the placing of the stones, mountains of opposition will be as a plain and our shouts of “Grace, Grace” will glorify God.  For without Him the work could not be completed.
We must war, we must pray, and we must prophetically speak to the opposition in order to finish the work that must be done in this hour.  We must advance as if there were no opposition at all, because God Himself has declared it, and the very words released to us from the Lord have brought us victory.
This is the Jewish year that our declaration will be, “Grace, Grace”!
“For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad”   Luke 8:17 KJV.

Hello Firestorm:

The last several weeks have been filled with things happening in the natural and in the spirit.  We are all reading and watching things swirling around Israel and their surrounding neighbors with Hamas, ISIS and our United States.  The enemy of our souls and the arrogant evil of the flesh of men and women seems to have escalated to a new level.

Rick Joyner recently shared two dreams he experienced.  One was of Heaven and the second he has referred to as “The Gates of Hell are Open.”  I watched him sharing his thoughts regarding the second dream and found myself uneasy with his words.  I admire Rick and much of the work the Lord has done through him in prophetically equipping and training people to rise up and take their place in the Army of the Lord.  There is no doubt he is calling us to wake up, one of the duties of the Prophets.

I struggled to put my finger on what I was bothering me so, I held back releasing the link to you regarding his dream. I sense you and I already know the seriousness of the hour we are living in and this is not a time for us to let fear reign.  This is the time we were called and created for. Maybe this is that, which was spoken of. The time when age, sex, race, denomination, political status, none of this matters. What matters is that we rise up in unity and one accord into the place of authority and power the Lord gave us a long time ago.

I pray the Lord will continue to move through Rick and gird him up with strength, peace and insight through the Holy Spirit for strategic plans to defeat what he saw and whatever is coming against us.

And according to the Bible, we know there are wars and hard times coming, we just don’t know when all these things are going to happen. We are told to look for the signs, but no matter, if we hold fast to our faith, The Lord is with us and He is All Powerful, All Knowing and, He is Everywhere.  He is the One True God, The Creator of Everything!

If these are the times mentioned where our Lord will be coming back soon, then so be it! (Selah)

If this is the time, in preparation of His coming where we need to rise up, walk on water and in power to stop evil and bring forth the Glory of His Church and be witnesses of Him to save lost souls, then so be it! (Selah)

This is not a time to be fearful, but a time to be watchful and prepare yourself to be ready for whatever God wants to do through you.

Fear immobilizes, Faith energizes.

You want your destiny?  Rise up and get ready to take it.  Take time to draw closer to God and listen for His Instruction. Turn your ear to Heaven and Hear. Draw back from the voice of the World shouting and seeking to clog your ears and steal your spiritual vision.

You and I were born for such a time as this and to come together. Let us walk in Power and in the Word. It is written:

No Weapon Formed Against You Shall Prosper and I am hearing,

“The Church of Jesus Christ has not yet begun to fight.”
“But, She Will”

Our weapons of warfare are not carnal to the pulling down of strongholds, principalities and powers.

(II Corinthians 10:4)

The Lord will use America’s Prayers and Power to defeat evil in the spirit and in the natural.

(Isaiah 54:17)

I am posting the Rick Joyner link below, because of the following article from Tim Sheets, “Great Revival Fire Will Now Begin To Burn.” I pray your spirit will not bow to the spirit of fear and hopelessness.  God is not dead. He is on the Throne and He is beginning to Roar through His Saints, not as a lamb, but as the Lion of Judah. Behold He Is Coming…….

Great Revival Fire Will Now Begin To Burn

The alarm clock of heaven is now ringing on the night stand of a sleeping church; time to rise, time to rise to the occasion, time to get up! The Lord says, “I have lions hidden in My remnant, not wolves. They will now rise to patrol and remove the defeated ones, wolf packs, that have come to scatter My flocks. My lions will be fierce, bold, aggressive and unintimidated. They will not flinch when adversaries advance. They will stand strong,” says the Lord, “and fearless.
“A new roar will be heard from My tribe announcing territorial dominion. A roar claiming geographical and spiritual jurisdiction shall now sound from My remnant; a roar establishing that the throne of the territory is occupied and guarded. A rule against hell’s power shall be sounded. A roar of authority in My Name shall come against hell’s intrusions. My called-out ones, My sent ones, will now become step-forward ones.

“They will move forward in My power. They will manifest their rights as sons and daughters of God ruling and reigning with Me. As intended, My heirs are stepping from the shadows of cultural bondage. They shall now display disdain of enemy princes, mights, thrones, dominions and rulers of darkness. No longer will they compromise in shared rule; no longer settling for cohabitation, no longer accepting shared occupancy.

“Passive appeasement has now been replaced with backbones of steel, lips set on fire with Holy ingots, and a shout of the King is in their voice indeed. Jericho’s shout decree is in their mouth. Determined faith shall now be seen in My faithful ones as they march to remove demon philosophies and doctrines of devils from the land. No shared rule,” says the Lord.

“My rule, My rule shall prevail. My words shall prevail. Power to prevail is being poured out. Power to prevail is soaking My remnant. Power to overcome hell’s strategies; power to overcome demon doctrine and rebel government; power to more than conquer demon tactics is being released. Those who stand with Me shall see hell’s fire misfire.
“So arise and rule. Rise and roar with My authority. I will fill your enemy’s mouth with sand and their hearts with quicksand. They will find themselves stuck in their own mire. Roar with My freedom. Roar with My liberty. Let rejoicing roar out of Zion. March in to battle with confident peace.
“Great revival fire will now begin to burn through intercession-soaked regions as My awakening begins to roll. The regions will now become activated by My glory. My shaking has come. I am shaking earth. I am shaking heaven. Walls, strongholds, obstacles and hell’s defenses are being shaken down, and My remnant is being shaken free. My shaking will open ancient wells of revival. The revival in the womb of My intercessors will now be birthed.
“The revivalist mantle is descending upon My righteous evangelists. The fire shut up in their bones will now become words of fiery passion. With My gospel, I will shake open the capped wells of evangelism. I will shake open the ancient healing wells. Miracles will multiply. My angels are pumping those wells and they are opening new wells, new roads, new inroads, new mantles, new vision, new harvest. Behold I will do a new thing, and you will see it. Now it will spring forth.

“Because your cries have come before Me, because you have pursued My Presence,” says the Lord, “because your worship has become sweet savor—the Lord of angel armies decrees over His remnant people, you shall now begin reality church—no more acting, no more actors, no more pretending. Real church, real disciples, real Christianity, real worship, real power, real glory, real miracles, real healings. It is ordained reality church.

“I am now removing arrows shot into My royal priesthood. Arrows of betrayal, arrows of Jezebel, arrows of Absalom, arrows of deceit and gossip borne by lying spirits, arrows shot by those bound by religious demons. I Your God am removing arrows. You will be free. You will be healed. You will be restored, and you will be on fire with My Presence for I have said ‘I will make My ministers a flame of fire.’ It is ordained, your place of pain shall now be gain, and where you reign you will rise and rule with Me.

“I am now coming to My remnant. And I am now coming as Lord Sabaoth-Lord of Angel Armies. Because of alignment with My purpose, I will now align My hosts to assist aggressively. There is now a convergence of the angel armies and the church’s prayer army into a divine coalition; the coalition of My willing; those who run to battle, not from it.
“My earth and My heaven’s armies will now challenge thrones of iniquity, thrones of idolatry, thrones of rebellion, thrones of witchcraft, thrones of humanism and antichrist dominions. Battalions are dispatched and await the decrees of My word through the saints to overthrow iniquitous thrones so My saints can sit with Me.
“My greatest campaign on Earth is due. Decree it,” says the Lord. “Align your words with Mine, and angel forces shall align with you. Align with angel forces in your regions, and I will accelerate an alignment within your nation. Yes, revival is now. The harvest is now,” says the Lord. “Victory is now,” says the Lord. “Arise and pursue My cause. Arise and roar. Arise and fight. Arise and shine. Your light has come, and the glory of your God shines upon you.”

ICEJ Feast of Tabernacles, Oct 10-14, 2014

“And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the king, the lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.” Zechariah 14:16
The Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot, is the third great annual pilgrimage festival when the Jewish people gather together in Jerusalem not only to remember God’s provision in the wilderness but also to look ahead to that promised Messianic age when all nations will flow to Jerusalem to worship the Lord.
For the past thirty-five years, thousands of Christians from all over the world have come up to Jerusalem each fall to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, sponsored by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem. They come with much expectancy to take part in a dynamic worship experience, knowing the One we worship will soon be sitting on His throne in this great city. Indeed, celebrating Sukkot now gives us a foretaste of the joy of the age to come.

Now that Syria has become a player in the War in the Middle East,

there is Bible prophecy concerning the city of Damascus in Isaiah 17.

In the Last Days, Damascus will become a ruinous heap.

How far away in time is that?

Attached is an article that may prove interesting:

 Isaiah 17: Destruction of Damascus

In the last days, the Bible tells us, a horrible series of events will take place in the lands of Israel and Syria. One of these events is the disappearance of Damascus as one of the premiere cities in the world. The oldest continuously inhabited city on the planet, Damascus has witnessed at least five thousand years of human history, and some historians believe the city actually dates back to the seventh millennium bc. In fact, Paul was on the road to Damascus when Christ first appeared to Him, an event that transformed not only his life, but the course of human history.

In the very near future, Damascus will once again play a major role in human events. The prophet Isaiah provides us with God’s commentary on a future conflict between Damascus and Israel, and in so doing, He reveals certain prophecies that have been partially fulfilled in the past. However, the ultimate fulfillment of Isaiah 17 remains in the future. The current existence of Damascus, which will one day cease to be a city, as well as the historical absence of the coalition of nations prophesied to attack Israel and be destroyed by God, is proof that Isaiah 17 prophesies events yet future.

This is what God revealed to the prophet Isaiah:

“This message came to me concerning Damascus: ‘Look, Damascus will disappear! It will become a heap of ruins. The cities of Aroer will be deserted. Sheep will graze in the streets and lie down unafraid. There will be no one to chase them away. The fortified cities of Israel will also be destroyed, and the power of Damascus will end. The few left in Aram will share the fate of Israel’s departed glory,’ says the Lord Almighty” (Isaiah 17:1-3, NLT).

These opening verses paint a bleak picture. The city of Damascus will become a heap of ruins, utterly destroyed. Few, if any, buildings will be left standing. The once great city will be devoid of human life and will become home to all manner of wildlife in the absence of humans to chase them away.

According to these verses, the cities of Aroer, which are located on the northern bank of the Arnon River just east of the Dead Sea, will also be deserted. However, the passage doesn’t say they will be destroyed in the same manner as Damascus, just that they will be deserted. It may be that people simply flee these cities out of fear.

In addition, many of the fortified cities in northern Israel will also be destroyed. The few who remain in Aram, thirty-eight miles south southeast of Damascus, will share the fate of these northern Israeli cities.

“In that day the glory of Israel will be very dim, for poverty will stalk the land. Israel will be abandoned like the grain fields in the valley of Rephaim after the harvest. Only a few of its people will be left, like the stray olives left on the tree after the harvest. Only two or three remain in the highest branches, four or five out on the tips of the limbs. Yes, Israel will be stripped bare of people,’ says the Lord, the God of Israel” (Isaiah 17:4-6, NLT).

The breadth and scope of destruction is clearly illustrated as God describes the Israeli landscape as stripped bare of people. Only a small fraction of people either choose to stay in the land or else survive what is a massive holocaust, leaving only a few inhabitants who struggle in poverty.

“Then at last the people will think of their Creator and have respect for the Holy One of Israel. They will no longer ask their idols for help or worship what their own hands have made. They will never again bow down to their Asherah poles or burn incense on the altars they built” (Isaiah 17:7-8, NLT).

As a result of this event, the people of Israel will once again turn to God Almighty. Currently, the nation of Israel is predominantly secular in nature. Other biblical passages infer that this will change as the prophesied rebuilding of the Temple in the last days indicates a spiritual resurgence among the Jews of Israel. Nevertheless, this passage clearly indicates the people of Israel will turn away from all false idols and gods.

Knowing that this will happen, we must ask: Why does it happen? The answer is found in the verses that follow:

“Their largest cities will be as deserted as overgrown thickets. They will become like the cities the Amorites abandoned when the Israelites came here so long ago. Why? Because you have turned from the God who can save you—the Rock who can hide you. You may plant the finest imported grapevines, and they may grow so well that they blossom on the very morning you plant them, but you will never pick any grapes from them. Your only harvest will be a load of grief and incurable pain” (Isaiah 17:9-11, NLT).

The devastation that overshadows Israel will come about because Israel has “turned from the God who can save them.” All the hard work performed prior to this event will be lost. Those who have been distracted by the things of this world will be disappointed, for they have forgotten God, and by putting faith in the things of this world, they will ultimately be disappointed. Their only harvest will be “a load of grief and incurable pain.” This grief will be brought to a climax when, in the midst of their suffering, the nation of Israel faces an imminent invasion:

“Look! The armies rush forward like waves thundering toward the shore. But though they roar like breakers on a beach, God will silence them. They will flee like chaff scattered by the wind or like dust whirling before a storm. In the evening Israel waits in terror, but by dawn its enemies are dead. This is the just reward of those who plunder and destroy the people of God” (Isaiah 17:12-14, NLT).

While Syria and Israel lie in ruin, the enemies of Israel will view her suffering as an opportunity to invade, their ultimate goal to destroy her forever. However, God has a different plan in mind, and He will destroy these invaders Himself. A more in-depth illustration of this attack is foreseen in Psalms 83:

“O God, don’t sit idly by, silent and inactive! Don’t you hear the tumult of your enemies? Don’t you see what your arrogant enemies are doing? They devise crafty schemes against your people, laying plans against your precious ones. ‘Come,’ they say, ‘let us wipe out Israel as a nation. We will destroy the very memory of its existence.’ This was their unanimous decision.

They signed a treaty as allies against you—these Edomites and Ishmaelites, Moabites and Hagrites, Gebalites, Ammonites, and Amalekites, and people from Philistia and Tyre. Assyria has joined them, too, and is allied with the descendants of Lot. Do to them as you did to the Midianites or as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River. They were destroyed at Endor, and their decaying corpses fertilized the soil. Let their mighty nobles die as Oreb and Zeeb did. Let all their princes die like Zebah and Zalmunna, for they said, ‘Let us seize for our own use these pasturelands of God!’

O my God, blow them away like whirling dust, like chaff before the wind! As a fire roars through a forest and as a flame sets mountains ablaze, chase them with your fierce storms; terrify them with your tempests. Utterly disgrace them until they submit to your name, O Lord. Let them be ashamed and terrified forever. Make them failures in everything they do, until they learn that you alone are called the Lord, that you alone are the Most High, supreme over all the earth” (Psalms 83, NLT).

So how do we know that Psalms 83 describes the same scene envisioned in Isaiah 17? Let’s compare the two. Here’s how the intentions of Israel’s enemies are described:

Plunder & Destruction

“This is the just reward of those who plunder and destroy the people of God”

(Isaiah 17:14, NLT).

“They devise crafty schemes against your people, laying plans against your precious ones. ‘Come,’ they say, ‘let us wipe out Israel as a nation. We will destroy the very memory of its existence.’ This was their unanimous decision”

(Psalms 83:3-5, NLT).

“For they said, ‘Let us seize for our own use these pasturelands of God!'”

(Psalms 83:12, NLT).

Here’s how the fate of Israel’s enemies is described:

“They will flee like chaff scattered by the wind or like dust whirling before a storm”

(Isaiah 17:13, NLT).

“O my God, blow them away like whirling dust, like chaff before the wind!”

(Psalms 83:13, NLT).

From the description of their fate alone, it is reasonable to conclude that the armies of Isaiah 17:12 are the same nations that sign a treaty against the Lord in Psalms 83:5-8. Below is a list of those nations and their modern geographical equivalents:

Edomites = Jordan / Parts of the West Bank

Ishmaelites = The Arab people
Moabites = Jordan / Parts of the West Bank
Hagrites = Jordan / The Arab people
Gebalites = Lebanon
Ammonites = Jordan
Amalekites = Southern Israel / Gaza
Philistia = Gaza
Tyre = Lebanon
Assyria = Syria / Parts of Turkey and Iraq

The Descendants of Lot = Jordan

By studying the geographical history of these ancient people and places, we can uncover which nations they currently compose. According to Psalms 83, in the aftermath of the destruction of northern Israel and Damascus, Israel will be invaded by armies from Jordan, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza. All of these locations are heavily populated by the enemies of Israel today.

An Expanding War?

But are the nations cited in Psalms 83 the only nations involved in this attack? It’s quite possible that additional conspirators are named in the book of Ezekiel. Isaiah 17 and Psalms 83 might well foreshadow the war of Gog and Magog.

In Ezekiel 38-39, an enormous coalition of nations, “a vast and awesome horde”—will roll down on Israel “like a storm and cover the land like a cloud” (38:9, NLT). This prophesied future war in Ezekiel has many similarities to Isaiah 17:12-14. Both prophets foresee a time when enemy armies rush toward Israel while she awaits unprepared. Both prophets foresee God’s instantaneous destruction of Israel’s enemies. And in both scenarios, the marching armies intend to plunder and destroy the people of Israel:

“You will say, Israel is an unprotected land filled with unwalled villages! I will march against her and destroy these people who live in such confidence!'” (Ezekiel 38:11, NLT).

“But Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish will ask, ‘Who are you to rob them of silver and gold? Who are you to drive away their cattle and seize their goods and make them poor?'” (Ezekiel 38:13, NLT).

Plunder & Destruction

“This is the just reward of those who plunder and destroy the people of God” (Isaiah 17:14, NLT). Could the events predicted in Isaiah 17 and Psalms 83 be a catalyst for the war of Gog and Magog prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39? Although it is not a certainty, the possibility cannot be completely ruled out.

Today’s Headlines

Looking at today’s geopolitical landscape, it’s not difficult to envision the scenario outlined in Isaiah 17 and Psalms 83. Syria has been adamant in its demand that Israel surrender the Golan Heights, threatening war if Israel fails to comply. Meanwhile, the summer 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah has apparently convinced leaders in Damascus that Syria can be victorious in a conflict with Israel by simply overwhelming the tiny nation with rocket attacks. From a greater perspective, it has convinced the entire Islamic world that Israel isn’t the militarily invincible nation it once thought.

Syria’s rocket technology is far more advanced than that deployed by Hezbollah, and Syria is known to possess chemical weapons, including the highly lethal VX and Sarin gases. If Syria miscalculates and attacks Israel with these weapons, the Israeli response will be swift and devastating. Israel is armed with nuclear weapons, and if its survival is put in question, it will not hesitate to use them.

If this happens, a mortally wounded Israel will become an irresistible target for her enemies. The surrounding Muslim nations will see an opportunity to destroy her, while Russia will see an opportunity to seize the upper hand in the oil-rich Middle East.

Today, the most virulent enemies of Israel reside in the very places named in Psalms 83–Hamas in Gaza, the Palestinians in the West Bank and Jordan, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Syria leadership and its Axis of Evil partners in the city of Damascus.

As of this writing, the conditions are ripe for the fulfillment of Isaiah 17 and Psalms 83, paving the way for the Rapture of the church and the beginning of the Tribulation. In light of such developments, we should zealously preach the gospel of Christ to all who will listen, for the hour is late, and the return of Christ is near.

Hello Firestorm:

Merva sent me a note from some of her prayer groups who have missionaries over in the front lies dealing with ISIS.  I felt led to share it with you so that we will all know the seriousness of seeking the Lord for His Protection for not only Christians, but the general populace as well.  The Word I hear in my spirit is “extermination.” Let this NOT BE!

Father God I thank You for raising up Your Intercessors and Your Warriors to come forth as a mighty army as never seen before.  Let not the plans of the enemy slip by the spiritual lines of Your Church. In the Name of Yahshua I speak a hedge up of holiness and righteousness before the face of the enemy of our souls and I release the Word of the Lord that No weapon formed against us shall prosper.  Let the enemy feel the Hand of the Lord and His Army and cease and desist in the evil they are seeking to spread across the World.

I speak Life and Light against that which is Dark and Death.  In the Name of Yahshua/Jesus.  Thank You Father God.

Sharing an email we received here at church from one of our members.

We recently received these two emails from missionary friends, one yesterday and one this morning. I pass it on so that people can pray specifically for our brothers and sisters.

This is so sad. A friend from Ohio just got a text message from her brother asking her to shower him and his parish in prayer. He is part of a mission team and ISIS has taken over the town they are in today. He said ISIS is systematically going house to house to all the Christians and asking the children to denounce Jesus. He said so far not one child has. And so far all have consequently been killed. But not the parents. The UN has withdrawn and the missionaries on their own. They are determined to stick it out for the sake of the families – even if it means their own deaths. He is very afraid, has no idea how to even begin ministering to these families who have seen their children martyred. Yet he says he knows God has called him for some reason to be his voice and hands at this place at this time. Even so, he is begging prayers for his courage to live out his vocation in such dire circumstances. And like the children accept martyrdom if he is called to do so. She asked me to ask everyone we know to please pray for them. These brave parents instilled such a fervent faith in their children that they chose martyrdom. Please surround them in their loss with your prayers for hope and perseverance. She was able to talk to her brother briefly by phone. She didn’t say it but I believe she believes it will be their last conversation. Pray for her too. She said he just kept asking her to help him know what to do and do it. She told him to tell the families we ARE praying for them and they are not alone or forgotten — no matter what. Her e mail broke my heart. Please keep all in your prayers. Thanks

This came this morning…

Just a few minutes ago I received the following text message on my phone from Sean Malone who leads Crisis Relief International (CRI). We then spoke briefly on the phone and I assured him that we would share this urgent prayer need with all of our contacts.

“We lost the city of Queragosh (Qaraqosh). It fell to ISIS and they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food too. ISIS has pushed back Peshmerga (Kurdish forces) and is within 10 minutes of where our CRI team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated it’s staff in Erbil. Our team is unmoved and will stay. Prayer cover needed!”

Please pray sincerely for the deliverance of the people of Northern Iraq from the terrible advancement of ISIS and its extreme Islamic goals for mass conversion or death for Christians across this region.

May I plead with you not to ignore this email. Do not forward it before you have prayed through it. Then send it to as many people as possible. Send it to friends and Christians you may know. Send it to your prayer group. Send it to your pastor and phone him/her to pray on Sunday during the service – making a special time of prayer for this. We need to stand in the gap for our fellow Christians.

“And what does the Lord require of you?

To act justly and to love mercifully and to walk humbly with your God.” -Micah 6:8

We Pray: Let the One Holy Christian Church cry out to God Almighty this prayer of the Saints and Martyrs from Revelation 6 “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?”

Lord, we find this Word from the Lord to be our strength and our salvation because it speaks of God’s final word over and above all evil, hatred, suffering, persecution and death.

The killing and murder of innocent Christians, whose blood is spilled for Christ’s sake will not be spilled in vain. O Lord, You will indeed avenge the blood of those who are martyred for the sake of Your holy name. And so, indeed we do pray with the whole Church, come quickly Lord Jesus!
