What Kind Of Love Is This?

What kind of love is this?

What kind of relationship do you have with the Holy Spirit?

How do you build a relationship?

Does the Holy Spirit have emotions?

Is the Holy Spirit God?

What is the relationship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit?

These are some of the questions that we will DISCUSS as we explore “Who is the Holy Spirit”?

Most Christians have very little understanding of who the Holy Spirit is, and more importantly, who He is not. I have heard a lot of people say, “I got it! I got it!” while seeking to be filled with the Holy Spirit. What have you got? HE IS NOT AN “IT”!!

So many people try to put God in a box. We think we know what God will do in a situation. I have found that you cannot put Him in a box. You cannot just take him out and use him when you need him. No, you are missing the greatest joy that I know of…having a relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Many people believe that the Holy Spirit is the power of the Godhead. We call on Him to build our ministry, to make us look good. He is so much more than just the anointing that causes the gifts to operate in us.

Your understanding of the Holy Spirit determines the level of your relationship with Him.
Most of us have some form of relationship with the Father and the Son, but none or very little with the Holy Spirit, and if we do, our relationship is based on our understanding of who He is, or our lack of understanding. We believe He is the anointing that causes the gifts to operate. Some truth… but He is so much more!

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Romans 5:5 Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given
To us.

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

For us to understand who the Holy Spirit is we first must understand the Trinity. The word trinity is not found in the Bible. It is a word that man created to help us understand God. Does it?

We realize that God has manifested Himself as Christ the Son and as The Holy Spirit. They are one God, but manifested as three—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Let us look at it this way: All three were present in creation.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
God was present.

John 1:1-3 in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him, all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

Jesus was present.

In Genesis 1:2 the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

The Holy Spirit was present.

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, overall the earth, and over the creatures that move along the ground”.

God the Father thought it, God the Son spoke the Word, and the Holy Spirit caused the Word to perform.

I John 5:8 and there are three witnesses on the earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree [are in unison; their testimony coincides].

God has manifested himself in three forms to create the world, and each has an assignment.

Jesus is the savior of the world. He became a son of man to do the job, and then gave his life to pay for the price of our sins. He never sinned, yet paid the price for what we did, and could not pay.

God created the world. There is God the Father—the Man. I am a man. When I got married, I became a Husband, and when I had children I became a Father. Yet I am just one—a man. And so it is with God the Father.

He is one but manifests himself as three: the Son and the Holy Spirit; each with a different personality, and a different assignment to help man. Jesus as the Savior, the Holy Spirit as a counselor, revelator, the giver of gifts, and the one that seals us for the Kingdom of Heaven. See 1 Corinthians Chapter 12.

John 16:7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,

We are not talking about three Gods; I am proclaiming the trinity, three in one. I am talking about God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

In Genesis 22:8. Abraham was speaking to his son, Isaac and said. “My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering:”

This Scriptures tell us there was a Ram caught in the bush. A Ram is designated as God the Father.

We change the structure of the sentence. God will provide Himself…and that is exactly what He did. He manifested Himself as Jesus and went to the cross. He manifested Himself as the Holy Spirit and brings the truth and power of God the Father to be a revelator, a friend, a counselor, a giver of gifts, and one that will seal us. We pray to the Father through Jesus Christ.

When I first met Jesus, I could not separate the Father, Son or Holy Spirit. I prayed as I was taught, Father in the name of Jesus. However, as you fellowship with each, you will be able to distinguish and separate each. I call Jesus my friend, but the Holy Spirit, well; He is my constant companion, my counselor, and the lover of my soul.

I can recall one day when I was in my prayer closet worshiping ‘God’. I knew who Jesus was because I had met him when I got saved. I knew of the Father, but only to ask for help in the name of Jesus. I knew the Holy Spirit by name but that was about all.

I found the Scripture, Ephesians 4:30-31 “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption”.
I decided to stay away and not mess with the Holy Spirit. I see now how deceived I was. Satan stole from me. He does not want us to understand who the Holy Spirit is and what is available to us through Him. I was able to fellowship with Jesus, but I was standoffish with the Father.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere–in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” New Living Translation

Now you are saved, you do not have a problem relating to Jesus. You have sweet communion with Jesus, you worship Jesus, praise Jesus but my relationship with the Father was different. I knew about the Father in the Old Testament and believed that if I messed up (was not perfect) the Father would whip me. What kind of love is that? We are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

But there was another that I had not met… the Holy Spirit.
The relationship with the Holy Spirit did not become real to me UNTIL:
Reverse…

I read the Book “The Cross and the switchblade”. It was in August of l972 and I was in my bedroom and I had just finished reading the book. I remember the last sentence in the book talking about the Holy Spirit, went something like this” He is here now.”

I put the book down, and asked, “Who is? The Holy Spirit, do I have him? I lay back down, and I heard Him speak… “Jim”!!! I rose in bed and something hit me in the top of my head. I fell back down and went to sleep… BUT when I awoke glory, glory… joy indescribable!! What kind of love this is?

As I began to learn a little more of whom the Holy Spirit was I began to understand Him more, and began seek for the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. But that is another story.

How to build a relationship with the Holy Spirit

When I read Benny Hinn’s book, “Good Morning Holy Spirit” in the 70’s I was already filled with the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues. I was moving in the gifts of the Spirit but began to understand that there was something more that I did not have. I did not know the Holy Spirit on a personal basis. I knew Him only as the power, the gift giver, and the anointer. When I operated in the gifts I knew He was the one that made it happen. I knew His work and I knew His presence, but I still did not know Him. We had been introduced, but I did not know Him.

You have to spend time with someone to build a relationship. My relationship with God is still building, but I will tell you this… so far in 2012 it has grown with leaps and bounds.

I began to search for a deeper understanding and relationship with the Holy Spirit through the Bible, and in my searching, I read and absorbed all the Word that I could handle.

When you build any sort of relationship with the Holy Spirit you change.

Each day I got up to go work I was so excited about this new relationship, this new intimacy and closeness that I had found with the Holy Spirit. It was far beyond anything that I had encountered. Beyond even the anointing and the moving in the gifts. It not only affected me, but it affected my family and my employees as well. I was much more at peace with others and myself; my language changed, and even my countenance. What kind of love is this?

Getting to know Him

When you seek Him, you will find Him? When I began to seek the Holy Spirit, my whole countenance changed. My words certainly changed. I was filled with the Holy Spirit, and I could move in some of the gifts, but there is so much more. It was just the beginning.

Do you spend time with the Holy Spirit? I am not talking about being able to operate in the gifts. The gifts and callings God gives are without repentance.

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.”

“Without repentance” means that God will not change His mind about what He has given us. I am not talking about being in a meeting where the Holy Spirit is moving or being used by the Holy Spirit. I am talking about spending one on one time with the Holy Spirit. Getting to know Him. Time with the Holy Ghost is not the outpouring of God’s Spirit impacting people in revival. Renewal is not spending time with the Holy Spirit. There is a place where you spend time talking to the Holy Spirit, worshipping and asking the Holy Spirit questions… Going deeper…

How do you build a relationship with the Holy Spirit?

What type of relationship do you have with the Holy Spirit?

These questions have been asked for years, and the only answer that I have is, how did you build a relationship with your family, your wife or husband, or your children. You spend time with them and love on them. The same applies to building a relationship with the Holy Spirit—spend time with Him!!

I like to draw the analogy of a woman that had identical twin boys. When they were about two years old, I was introduced to them. Jack and Jim. I could not tell the difference between them. The mother knew jack from Jim, but I could not tell them apart because they looked the same. The only way I could tell the difference was to hang out with them, talk to them get to know them.

That same principle applies to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Do you know the difference? I know you are probably saying, “Of course I do.”
How is the question asked? How can you tell the difference? For me, I have to build a relationship with each one to know who is talking to me and whom I am fellowshipping with. I could not tell the difference between the twins unless I built a relationship with them. Who do you have a relationship with? God the Father, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit? Can you differentiate between the three? Do you have a different relationship with each? I do!!!

I can recall one day when I was in my prayer closet and I was worshiping “God”. I felt that I had a relationship with Jesus, and I knew the Father by name. (I knew who he was, but mostly I talked with Jesus.) I was telling Jesus how much I loved Him when I heard a voice in my spirit, “Tell the Father that you love Him”.

I was set back for a moment, then I said, “Father I can worship you, but I really don’t know you—I would be lying if I told you I love you—I don’t really know you”!! I heard “Do it by faith” I thought, well I can do that…”Father, I love you” (nothing). “Father I love you” (nothing). Father I love you…Whammmmm. I was on my knees full of joy and the tears just flowed. What kind of love is this? Glory!! I could feel his presence, and the rest is history…

1 John 5:8 and there are three that bear testimony on earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

What kind of love is this?

There is one God manifested in three. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Each one of us that is saved has some kind of relationship with the Father and with Jesus. Because we could not have been saved without knowing him.

I like that song, “What kind of love is this?” To me this is the kind of love that God has for us — He sent Jesus to die for us. He sent the Holy Spirit to us as a counselor, comforter, a revealer of the hidden things, and someone that can help us pray when we don’t know how to. God today is, revealing His deep love for His children. He is revealing his love for us as never before. The church is beginning to understand that the Father is not standing by with a whip to punish us, but he is showing himself as a loving father. What kind of love is this?

I have a relationship with the Father and with Jesus, but my relationship with the Holy Spirit is different. Why because He has a different role in my life, He is my counselor, comforter, and my best friend. I just want to be around Him all the time. We talk, we joke, and we laugh at the situations that I sometimes get in. Hey!! He has a sense of humor, because I got mine from Father. Smile.

There is a place where you spend time actually talking to the Holy Spirit, worshipping, and asking the Holy Spirit questions, and getting answers. Have you ever just been in a time of worship were you just wanted to hang out? I like to call it “The secret place”.

The personality of God is the Holy Spirit. God’s personality entails that of His behavior, and His emotional characteristics. You hangout with some one and hope that some of their “good stuff” will rub off on you.
When I was delivered from alcoholism and tobacco, I did my best to stay away from people that drank and smoked. If I had continued to frequent bars sooner or later I would fall again. Well that works to the positive also; look at the prophets of old.

The Emotions of the Holy Spirit

Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Everybody knows Jesus. Everybody knows God the Father. But who knows God the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is the expression of God. He has emotions. He gets lonely. His feelings can be hurt, and He can feel your pain. He waits on you and I, but if we do not obey him, he leaves to come back another time.

It is time for the Church to get to know the Holy Spirit.

I am sure you have been in meetings where the Holy Spirit began to move, and the glory of God began to fill the place. Times when the worship was so heavy you could hardly stand, and you could feel His presence. And then something would happen, and the presence would lift. What happened? If someone or something grieved the Holy Spirit and He would leave. He will not stay where he is not wanted, and where there is order.

When I hold a meeting or teaching, I always invite the Holy Spirit and give Him permission to change the agenda, to take charge, and do whatever he wants to do. His will not mine. It works for me!

To me the Holy Spirit is a Spirit that has emotions; you can have a closer relationship with him than with your wife or husband. We fail in that we try to use Him for what He can do for us rather than for whom he is. He is God the Holy Spirit.

JOHN 14:15-17: “If you love me you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father and He will give you another Comforter to be with you forever – the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept him because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him for he lives with you and will be in you.”

JOHN 14:25, 26: “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

We can ‘have the presence of the Holy Spirit but we must build a relationship with him, worship him and love him, even comfort him because he has feelings just like us…He (God) created us and the Holy Spirit is God!!! You cannot have a better day, hour or week than spending time in His presence and bathe in his love. Glory, I can feel his touch as I write this. Touch the people that read this Holy Spirit and let them too feel your love.

The church has been deceived (by Slu-foot, also known as Satan) to the extent that we have little or no personal knowledge of the Holy Spirit. People speak in tongues, “That’s the Holy Ghost (Ghost is a word man created). Someone begins to shake, laugh and fall under the power of God and we say, “That’s the Holy Ghost”. Someone begins to prophesy, give a message in tongues, or an interpretation, and we say, “That’s the Holy Ghost”.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11: 4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. 7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9 to another faith [a] by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of [b] healing [c]by the one Spirit, 10 and to another the [d]effecting of [e] miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the [f] distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He will. New American Standard Bible (NASB)

When any of the 9 spiritual gifts as set forth in I Corinthians 12:4-11 begin to operate we say that is the Holy Spirit moving. But the Holy Spirit does so much more than just give gifts. There is so much more to who he is—He is a comforter, a friend, and a counselor.

I have read books like “Good Morning, Holy Spirit”, by Benny Hinn, and others of how they have had personal experiences with the Holy Spirit lasting for hours, and even days. I have had experiences with the Holy Spirit when He has touched me and caused me to fall out, and I would fall to the floor laughing. And then a few times when he spoke to me I have had to stop the car. There were times when I just stood weeping for joy, and yes, even times when I danced. Once I even sung a prophecy (a time of great faith on my part).

I live for His presence… for the times when I just sit and talk, and I listen to Him. Even as I write this, I ask what He wants to say… Oh what joy it is to be in His presence.

Ephesians 5:18 and be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.

Many people understand that the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and Son, but, they have different assignments and therefore we relate differently to each one.

When I received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is when the Holy Spirit became real to me. After I received, I drove to my Priest’s house and rang the doorbell. When he came to the door I just began to speak in tongues and he just looked at me and said, “I was afraid of that.”
He did not understand, but one month later he and his family received, and we all began to change, and become transformed.

I want to know God, but to know God is to know there are three persons in the Godhead. To know God is to know the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost individually.

I have been in many different churches and some people just consecrate on Jesus, and some on the Holy Spirit, but I have never been in a church where they just consecrate on the Father. Have you?
For me, my relationship began with Jesus, and then I prayed to the Father in the name of Jesus, and then the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and my world changed…

The communion of the Holy Spirit

2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the presence and fellowship (the communion and sharing together, and participation) in the Holy Spirit are with you all. Amen (so be it). Amplified

Paul was saying the word “communion” (κοινωνία koinōnia) means properly participation, fellowship, or having anything in common.
Common; is that we might understand and share the feelings and desire of the Holy Spirit. That we might have fellowship (talk, laugh, and just hang out with the Holy Spirit. That we might use the gifts, love, joy, and peace… The fruits of the Spirit as set forth in Galatians 5:22, as well as miraculous endowments, these things being given freely.

This is a lot more than just operating in the gifts; this is “getting to know the Holy Spirit through the Bible.

In 2 Corinthians 13:14 Paul was talking about the communion. He says, “May the communion of the Holy Spirit”. It doesn’t say, “may the communion of the Father”, or “may the communion of Jesus”, it says, “May the communion, or fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.”
Paul was saying there is something a whole lot deeper to the Holy Spirit than just the anointing, to the gifts than you know. You do not know “koinonia” with the Holy Spirit. You do not know intimate bond and sharing. You do not know the partnership of the Holy Spirit.

The presence of Jesus is the Holy Spirit

Rewind…
When I realized that I was saved. The reality of Jesus and who he is hit me and then I discovered there was more in the form of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. I began to seek this experience with all my energy and being. Nothing was before me except to enter this experience.

You can see the anointing (Holy Spirit) on someone as well as witness they are filled. Example: I owned a restaurant and I was waiting on a table one evening, as I approached to take their order, I felt the Holy Spirit move through me and they felt the same thing. You see we have a secret code… a witness of who is who if you will. I wonder did James Bond have this? Smile.

We can talk with the Holy Spirit as long as we want to spend time with Him. Before I minister anywhere, I seek the Holy Spirit and ask Him to anoint me, or let me stay home. You see He is the one who reveals the secrets. No one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord, except but by him.

The world does not know the Holy Spirit, the Church sees him, they see his fruit manifested through some, but in general, the Church does not know him. We see but through a glass darkly.

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face-to-face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. King James Version (KJV)

John 14:17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you. Amplified

II Corinthians 13:14 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

We are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Get to know him.

Beginning in July of 2009 and continuing until September 19, 2009, I had a progressive vision from the Lord.

I saw an old locomotive engine attached to about seven railroad cars. The train was in a station and there were many people on the platform preparing to board the train. As the vision progressed, a dense fog began to cover the train and it was hidden from the natural eye. The Holy Spirit spoke: “You will not be able to board this train except through faith.”

I then saw a raging river with strong currents, I could not identify it, but I related it to a river like the Colorado River (a lot of white water).
Then I saw Prophets on both sides of the river, and they began to prophesy. The river parted just as it did when Moses raised his hand over the water (Exodus 14:2) and dry land appeared. I saw the prophets walking on the water above the dry land on each side of the river until they lined the path that was opened by the word.

A big mountain arose in the middle of the dry riverbed, and the Holy Spirit spoke and said, “Your faith will not take you around this mountain, but it will take you through it.”

The vision continued, and I saw people boarding the train; and as I looked at the people boarding, I saw that as they put their foot on the first step of the rail car, the clothes that they had of were whisked off and a new white gown was put on them. As I was taking in the cars, I notice that they were first class so to speak. I questioned the Holy Sprit as to what kind of train was this and He said, “Son, this is the train that the prophets of old desire to ride in… it is the glory train.”

Do you want to know the Holy Spirit
More intimately?

John 14:26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. Amplified Bible (AMP)

Teach me Lord. Lord I need some help. Will you intercede for me to the Father? Give me strength, and remind me lord I forgot, where did I leave that. Lord, I know the Scripture but I need the zip code and address. And you know what? He tells me… glory!

There are times when I just need to be alone with Him; oh, “how sweet it is to know him .

What kind of love is this?

There are times when I say Lord, your will not mine will. What do you want me to do? And he says, “you are all right, I have it covered”. He talks to me…

What kind of love is this?

The Holy Spirit is a manifestation of the Father. They are one but separate. We know that the Father has feelings, and based on this scripture Ephesians 4:30-35

Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [do not offend or vex or sadden Him], by whom you were sealed (marked, branded as God’s own, secured) for the day of redemption (of final deliverance through Christ from evil and the consequences of sin).
Mark 3:29 But whoever speaks abusively against or maliciously misrepresents the Holy Spirit can never get forgiveness but is guilty of and is in the grasp of everlasting trespass. Amplified Bible (AMP)

This scripture gives us some insight into the emotions of the Holy Spirit First he is protected by the Father. Any sin will be forgiven but this one…

Someone once drew an analogy of the relationship of The Father and Jesus to the Holy Spirit as that of a Husband to a wife. I am not saying the Holy Spirit is a woman. I am saying that the Father, because of the work that The Holy Spirit does, protects him that he does…

, The Holy Spirit has emotions; He is very sensitive and can feel loneliness. He can feel pain. Man think about this, you can cause the Holy Spirit pain .You can hurt him by your words and actions. He is a person …He is God manifested as the Holy Spirit who has been made vulnerable to you because of love.

What kind of love is this?

2 Corinthians 13:13 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the communion (fellowship) of the Holy Spirit are with you all.

How do you have fellowship with someone that you do not know? You don’t, you need to get to Know the Holy Spirit.

Getting to know the Holy Spirit.

I want to draw an analogy when you meet someone that you want to get to know, what do you do? You “hang out” with them. You talk to them ,you go places with them. You build a relationship with them …getting to know them, sharing experiences with them. I don’t know the depth that you can have in relationships with the Holy Spirit because I have not gotten there yet. I discover new revelations about him every day.
I attend a revelation church . Our Apostle is a person full of revelation. Every time I am around him I glean from his wisdom when we discuss the Bible. He can open the word to me as I have never known it.

The Holy Spirit is called the REVELATOR as he reveals the hidden things.

REVELATOR of God Now the Holy Spirit is the ultimate He is God. The elders stand around the throne and shout Holy 24/7 as they receive new revelations

There have been times when I have felt the presence of the Holy Spirit so powerful that it almost knocked me down. I recall going through a rather difficult time (I’m being nice), and I was more than a little frustrated. I began walking through my house praising the Lord while questioning some decisions I had made. As I walked through the kitchen, I said, “ Lord I don’t understand.”

When I did, the Holy Spirit touched me, and then explained to me the why and what of the situation. Needless to say that gave me peace.
Proverbs 13:2. Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

The relationship you can have with the Holy Spirit is “out of this world”.

We talked before about building a relationship with the Holy Spirit by spending time with Him … Personally, I tell him that he is loved and appreciated by me, that I will not do anything unless he leads me. I like to thank him just for allowing me to hang with him. I worship him and adore him. His love is so deep it is hard to understand.

The Love of the Holy Spirit in action

A few days ago, I went into a business to make a purchase and the Holy Spirit began to speak to me concerning the cashier’s life. As a prophet I began to speak what I heard the Holy Spirit say, and the clerk began to get excited as God began to give her the answers she was seeking.

Later, I went to another place and the same thing happened again… the Holy Spirit began to minister through me to the clerk. This time the person began to weep as the Spirit touched him, and he fell on the floor and became very emotional.

Another person was watching, and the Holy Spirit moved me to minister to her also.

What kind of love is this that he cares so much for us?

I hear the Spirit of God saying to the Church: You are entering a new season .One that will bring out my greatness in you. A season in which I am going to show you The Father’s love…

You are being called into your destiny—And your age has nothing to do with this call: Job 12:12:

” With the ancient is wisdom and in length of days understanding.”

Caleb stated in Joshua 14:11 ‘I am still as strong today as I was the day Moses sent me out. My strength for battle and for daily tasks is now as it was then.” He was 85. I AM 82, what is your excuse?

The Spirit is releasing a New Anointing on the Older Stars. I see a Spirit of Worship being released. (Worship is fruit of the heart, whereas praise is the fruit of the mouth) This will be a deeper Anointing than we have ever walked in and will cause us to walk in “Crazy Faith.” We will speak, and it shall become.

Many of us have dreamed the impossible, BUT I tell you, the time is here and now, when we can and shall walk in the dreams we have dreamed…make it so, Lord!! The Joy of the Lord is our strength. Nehemiah 8:10:

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

What are our weapons?

JOHN 15:16—You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you (that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting that it may remain, abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name (as presenting all that I AM, HE MAY GIVE TO YOU).
The gifts and callings are based on His sovereignty not on your own ability or desires.

THE FIVE -FOLD MINISTRY

The Apostle
The Prophets – Two types – Nabi and Seers
The Evangelist
The Pastor
The Teacher

Romans 11:29: For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Ephesians 2:20 We (the church) are built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets

LEVELS OF PROPHECY

There are many different levels of Prophecy — For Example:

1) THUS, SAITH THE LORD…

Many agree that this is the highest form of prophecy—This is given when a believer is claiming to speak for God Himself. This type of prophecy is either 100 correct or 100 percent wrong. The Lord said it and that settles it —The Word is a good example.

2) IT SEEMED GOOD TO THE HOLY SPIRIT AND TO US–

Acts 15:28: For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things.

This type of prophecy reflects a consensus about the will of God. It may or may not be 100 percent accurate, but by saying this, a group is saying that to the best of their ability (knowledge) they believe this is the will of God for a situation.

3) SO, DOES THIS MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU?
What do you think about this? An example of this type of prophecy would be as we pray for people, a word or thought comes to mind, we can inquire of them what God is doing in their lives?

Sometimes the Lord leads us into prophetic intercession. This is a Word of Knowledge.

1 Cor 12:8: For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit.

4) THIS TYPE OF PROPHECY CLAIMS NO AUTHORITY.

Example –I do this a lot. Excuse me, as you were sitting there, I kept hearing/thinking (scripture) comes to mind…The Lord Wants you to know He has heard your prayer…

DIFFERENT MANIFESTATIONS OF REVELATION

1) IMPRESSIONS: This is defined as the lowest level of prophetic revelation. It is like we have an impression for the Lord about something or someone.

2) VISIONS: This level of prophetic revelation can come on different levels, ranging from the ones that you see with your own eyes and the ones that you see with your heart. I do not usually see with a picture because I am not a SEER but a NABIA

3) OPEN VISIONS: These visions are a higher form of revelation than the vision we see with our mind or eyes. They would be classified as a vision like Cornelius had in Acts 10:3. These types of visions are less frequent than the others and they are usually given when God want to communicate something especially important.

4) DREAMS: These are the most common form of revelation and like visions; dreams can have different levels of clarity and revelation. Most of our dreams are cause by food, stress, and desires. You probably have heard the term, “Pizza dreams. Too much of a good thing will do it every time.

I have found God does give me some dreams: however, I am asking for the open visions… (Your old men shall dream dreams and your young men shall see visions) come visions. Acts 2:17.

5) TRANCES: The next highest form of revelations is “he fell into a trance” (Acts 10:10)—I guess we can describe it as having a dream, while you are awake. Another name given to this experience is an “Open Vision”

I experienced this type of “Open Vision” only once. —I was about 11 years old and I saw my Grandfather depart this earth and go to Heaven. I was awakened at 3 AM and looked out the window. I saw a chariot pulled by horses and surrounded by Angels. My grandfather came out through the roof of the house and got in the chariot and went Heaven. It shook me up.

I believe we can also classify Angels, visitations and hearing the audible voice of God additional Prophetic experiences.

Other than the event with my grandfather, I have never seen an Angel, that I am aware of, but I know we entertain Angels unaware, because of Hebrews 13:2: Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

Most of the time, I hear the voice of God in my mind, but I have heard His audible voice on several occasions and when it is audible and let me tell you — You Will Know It!

VARIATIONS IN THE PROPHETIC

Many are called as Prophets and few choose to accept and the ones that do—well—there are different levels of “call”—A lot depends on “what price you are willing to pay—for me, I am all in. Smile

The Prophetic Presbytery:

The Gathering of 2 or three well-seasoned prophets (men and women), accepting appointments from people and seeking the Lord for them and then, ministering to them.

1 Tim 4:14: Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.

Acts 13:1-3: Now in the church that was at Antioch there. were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of. Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them. Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.

The Gift of Prophecy

This is one of the nine spiritual gifts that is given TO THE CHURCH. The Gift of Prophecy is considered a revelation gift as is Tongues and Interpretations of Tongues.

The Spirit of Prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. It is not a gift, as much as an Anointing arising from Christ within the believer.

And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10

A strong prophetic presence of the Lord can bring on this anointing. 1 Samuel 10:10 is a good example.

When they came there to the hill, there was a group of prophets to meet him; then the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

Acts 2:17: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.

1 Cor 12:10-14: to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink [g]into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.

1 Thess 5:20: Do not despise prophecies.

Romans 12:6: Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;

HOW TO PRAY GOD’S WORD

HOW TO PRAY GOD’S WORD

JIM MELLARD

There are many different types of prayers that people and some churches pray.

  1. Genie in the Bottle type of prayer     Our wish is God’s command
  2. Fire extinguisher prayers                   Only in case of emergency
  3. Sales Pitch Prayers                             Trying to sell God on what is best to give us.
  4. Religious Duty Prayers                     When we pray only because we feel that we have to pray, we are in a rut.
  5. Parachute Prayers                             The Pastor said, “I guess all we can do is pray,” and the deacon said, ”Has it come to that?”  When all else fails and we’re in big trouble, we finally pray. There are other types of prayer:

These are like the requests our children make at bedtime:

  1. Just one more TV show?
  2. May I have a glass of water?
  3. I’ll be good if you will let me go to Joey’s birthday party.

We negotiate with God in an effort to get what we want.

Many people pray because they have been taught it is the right thing to do:

I have to pray – I ought to pray – It’s my duty to pray.

These are boring, rote, routine, empty, meaningless, and accomplish very little.

Often, we have been led on a guilt-trip to pray

Matthew 6:33 (ESV) 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Going deeper:

The blessings of Abraham are the Physical, Financial, and Spiritual.

These blessings include all our needs so let’s look at ways to pray and how to pray effectively in these areas.

Physical Healing

Many people believe that God is able to heal them but they aren’t sure whether He will heal them or not.  God’s Word will prove to you that He wants and will heal you.  You don’t have to do anything to earn His love or His healing touch—just believe what He says and do what He tells you to do.

The Church in general has not been taught how to release God’s power to heal by speaking His Word in Prayer and trusting His Word to perform.  I believe the first thing we have to do is acknowledge that God did not put the sickness or disease on us, and that Satan is the author of all sickness and disease.

Here are some Scriptures that support this statement.

Psalms 103:3  Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.

Exodus 23:25  You shall serve the Lord your God; He shall bless your bread and water, and I will take sickness from your midst.

Proverbs 3:7-8    Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.

It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

James 5:14-15  Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name. And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

SPIRITUAL HEALINGS

The question can be asked — Is there something in your past or your present that is causing problems with your emotions or thoughts? If we’re honest, all of us would admit there are times when we had to fight this battle, but if the problem is left unattended it will eat us alive.

Let’s look at some of our weapons for “spiritual healings”.

Psalm 147:3  He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [curing their pains and their sorrows].

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creation and old things have passed away and all things have become new.  This is the beginning of all healings.

1 Peter 2:24   24  He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

1 Peter 5:7   Cast your care on the one that careth for you.

Psalms 147:3   He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Philippians 4:6-7    Cast your care on the one that carreth for you. Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Psalms 34:18  18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Financial Scriptures…

Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask , it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Malachi  3:8-10  “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Luke 6:38 give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.

Let’s Bringing it together.

Jesus taught us how to pray “The Lord’s Prayer” as stated in

Matthew 6:9-13 (ESV)

Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
11  Give us this day our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts,   as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

We certainly want to pray God’s will which is God’s word “The Bible.”  So based on this I submit:

If you can believe that God’s Word is His will, then when we pray the Word of God we are praying His will and His will – will be done.  To me this equals “answered prayer”

Onward – Examples:

Physical Healings.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Isaiah 55;3 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Psalm 103:2-5 (ESV)  Bless the Lord, O my soul,  and forget not all his benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,  who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,  who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
who satisfies you with good  so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

I want to give an example of someone who is addicted to something or someone.

One of my favorite Scriptures for deliverance is Job 22:28-30 which states:

28 You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways. 29 For when they are humbled you say, ‘It is because of pride’; but he saves the lowly.
30 He delivers even the one who is not innocent, who will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.”

Now let’s get to the meat of this lesson.  How to pray and pray effectively,.

As discussed there are many different types, kinds and ways of prayer.

Let me share with you how The Lord has taught me to pray..

We are told to seek, inquire and then require.  To break this down:

We seek God (worship Him) then we inquire through His word (find scriptures that agree with our desires—His will) and then we require by returning His Word to Him—praying the Word.

Example prayer:

Father I just want you to know that I love you and I know that you love me because of your sacrifice even before I was born. Thank you.

Lord your Word says: in Matthew 18:20 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.  We have your Word, you and the Holy Spirit and me agreeing with what I am asking.  And further in John 14:14 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.  Father, I ask that you deliver, “NAMES” from Addiction.

Next I stand on Job 22:30 30 He will even deliver the one [for whom you intercede] who is not innocent; yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.

Lord you said in Isaiah 55:11 (ESV)  11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,  and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

Psalm 103:20 (KJV)  20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Before I close – the Spirit of the Lord brought to my remembrance that one of the most effective weapons that we have is our “prayer language”, which comes with the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

There are times when we don’t really know how to pray, or maybe we just don’t want to pray the Word.  When we pray in the Spirit (tongues) we are praying in the Holy Spirit (God) and He is  praying to God, so by deductive reasoning we are praying though the Holy Spirit  (who is God) and He is praying to God the Father for His perfect will concerning us.

If God is praying to God, then we have the answer.

CRAZY FAITH

Crazy Faith

Jim Mellard

Every normal human being is created with common sense to some extent (Natural Faith).  For example, we mail a letter and we by natural faith can believe it will be delivered—some time.  We fly, and we believe we will arrive at our destination 99.5% of the time.

BUT tonight, I want to open the eyes of our understanding somewhat to different LEVELS of faith.

The nearest the New Testament comes to presenting a definition of “faith” is in Hebrews 11:1. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The one who truly believes and has (Christian) faith will act on God’s Word with perfect assurance that his request will be granted.

Christian faith is based upon God’s promises, rather than feelings, (feelings lie) or visible things. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform,” (Rom 4:18-22).

I believe there is just one Faith, but different levels of Faith I want to focus on —— level.

THE MEASURE OF FAITH vs. A MEASURE OF FAITH

God has given each of us  THE  Measure of Faith” as set forth in Romans 12:3.(KJV)For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man THE Measure of Faith’’

How much faith do I have in The Measure of Faith that God gave me? Faith is the instrument God uses to bring salvation to us.

Now think on this: God gives THE Measure of Faith to each person.  I think the key here is THE Measure, not A Measure.  We are all given the same amount of faith at birth.  The amount that is necessary for salvation–

Many of the translations leave out THE and exchange it for A Measure of Faith, which changes the whole connotation of the verse.  What do you believe?

God is not a respecter of persons therefore if He gave you A gift as opposed to THE gift, you could argue that He is a respecter of persons.  Acts 10:34 – “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons”:

I believe we can say that one level of faith is The Measure of Faith and this faith is given to each person –well I believe we can call it “Saving Faith” by that I mean God has given us The Measure of Faith to bring us to salvation if we use it.

Saving Faith

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

This faith comes before salvation. It is not the Gift of Faith as described in the 9 spiritual gifts.

After we receive salvation we are given opportunities to receive a higher level of faith based on Romans 10:17 KJV” “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God”

In Ephesians 4:5 (KJV) we are told, “There is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism”.  There is just one faith, but there are levels to the Faith that God gives us.  The Measure of Faith is given by God which is enough to bring us into a relationship with Jesus—salvation.

You want more? Well “So faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”.  There is no other way to get a higher level of faith than reading and studying the Word of God.

Now follow this:  Ephesians 2:8 – This level of Faith is given to us –I believe even before we are born…BUT to receive more we have to study.  Romans 10:17  tells us that faith  comes by study of the Word.

ORDINARY FAITH

After salvation we begin to learn—mostly from our preachers/teachers based on the theology of our denomination.

We learn the basics of the Bible.  Of course, there are variations based on the denomination.

For example: doing our work–Caring for those in need-

Protecting the vulnerable -Reaching out to the lonely -befriending the friendless keeping the world going-

Contribution to the common good Tithing. Forgiving, helping, witness to God’s presence and GOODNESS IN THE WORLD.

It is all the ordinary stuff we do all the time, taken together and blessed by the Lord.

I believe this ordinary faith is putting one foot in front of another and trusting God to the level of faith we can believe him for.

We can get more faith by studying and seeking His face. Let me put it like this…Build a relationship.  The Holy Spirit is our comforter.

THE GIFT OF FAITH

It is one of the nine Spiritual gifts, in fact it is what I call one of the Power Gifts.  (FHM) Faith—Healing—Miracles.

The “Gift of faith” will take you into a supernatural ministry—It will cause the Gifts of Healing and Miracles to operate. The question is asked.  “How do I get this gift”?

I know that Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

I also know that James 4:2 says, “Ye have not, because ye ask not.” God expects us to ask!

I like John 14:13Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

JOHN 16:23–24
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

The Gift of Faith which is different from just ORDINARY FAITH. It will cause the SUPERNATURAL TO MANIFEST.

Let’s go deeper

1 Corinthians 12

Tells us about the nine spiritual gift that are available to us.

TIP—Tongues –Interpretation – Prophecy

WWD – Word of Wisdom-Word of Knowledge-Discerning of Spirits.

FHM…Faith-Healing-Miracles.

These gifts are given to men in proportion to their faith, by that I mean when I received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and I began to speak in Tongues. I went to many conferences before I had the faith to give a message in Tongues, and it took longer for me to be able to have enough faith (to believe) that I had an Interpretation of the Tongues.

WWD – To be able to operate in this level of Faith.  Well I was put in situations that in order to help (counsel) I needed a Word of Wisdom or Knowledge.  I served as a Chaplain in a County Jail for 5 years and I began to notice that I could operate in Discerning of Spirits.

Put it like this: I studied—went to school—and built a relationship with the Holy Spirit and I asked for the gifts.

We all have what I call, your own personal level of faith. This faith comes by hearing and meditating on the word of God through personal study and devotion. Romans 10:17.

Faith, no matter the source, in one sense is a gift from God, but this Gift of Faith from 1 Corinthians 12 is always supernatural in its origin.

The personal faith which comes by hearing the Word is given in seed form. This is what makes the difference between the two. Don’t misunderstand me. There is only one Faith, but the origin of the faith determines whether or not it is the Gift of Faith in operation.

Personal faith is resident in the heart of every believer. This faith is a product of the born-again Spirit. Your Spirit is the soil in which the word of God (incorruptible seed) is planted, and faith is grown and developed therein. Therefore, its origin is from inside you. However, there will be times that our own levels of faith in the Lord will not be enough to get the job done with what He may be asking us to do for Him. Here is an example:

Say God has been manifesting the Gift of Healing through you from time to time to heal a few minor ailments or illnesses on a few people. Your confidence and faith levels are then starting to build up because God is now starting to use you in this manner and you now have had a few good successes on these smaller illnesses. But then all of a sudden God tells you to walk up to a paraplegic, lay hands on him, and then command him to get out of his wheelchair and start walking.

All of a sudden you can immediately sense in your mind and in your Spirit that your own levels of faith are not going to be good enough or high enough to try and do this, as you have never tried to heal someone of something this heavy before.

And this is where the Holy Spirit will now be moving in big time so this miracle can be fully accomplished for the Lord.

The Holy Spirit will then manifest His own divine faith right up into you so you can now believe and operate on that faith – so you will now have the actual courage to walk up to this person, lay hands on him, and then tell him to get out of that wheelchair and start walking.

Sometimes it will take higher levels of faith to pull down a major miracle from the Lord, and where our faith levels will not be high enough or good enough to be able to do this, this is where the direct faith of the Holy Spirit Himself will then move up in us and pick up the slack with our own imperfect faith levels so God can then manifest the miracle that He will be looking to do through us.

Crazy Faith

Many are called—few choose to pay the price for this kind of faith..  This kind of faith can only be proved by – Acting on it.

God wants much more from us than just “Head Knowledge” of who He is…He wants obedience in our life that will allow Him to make us become catalyst that He can use to perform the necessary miracles to get His will done in people and the world.

Crazy Faith allows us to worship and thank God before we actually see the fruit as though it has already happened.

Crazy Faith is not believing God can do it…but knowing that He will if we speak to those things that be not as though they are. Romans 4:17

Where there is great risk—Crazy Faith is called for—and there are great rewards…They go together.

Do you have Crazy Faith? — You’re crazy not to!!!

To those of us who believe, no explanation is necessary. To those who do not believe.  No explanation is possible.

MY EXPERIENCE IN MEXICO

STORY OF THE BLIND MAN.

In 2008 I was in Mexico and was teaching/ministering in a rather large church –understand I have a small southern accent and it is hard for some people to translate for me.  This was the case here. I had gone through one translator and was using another one when a man stood up in the congregation. He did not speak English—He said nothing.  I just ignored him but after the third time he stood up, a man in the congregation and said he wants to be healed.

I thought ok…so I walked down from the stage to him. I thought He might have a migraine or something.  I asked him what he wanted God to do for him — a man in the sound booth shouted. He is blind –I thought Uh—well Lord — So I laid hands on him and spoke the Word over him—I asked him. What do you see? —translated… nothing. So, I prayed again and laid hands on his eyes.  Again, what do you see? nothing… I said to myself — Lord there is a problem here. I have stepped out in faith they are coming after me not you. What do I do?  I do not recall the exact words, but I heard –believe –and spit on your fingers and lay hands on his eyes and command his eyes to open.

Rabbit Trail: Have you every asked God ..”Are you sure” –do you really want me to do this? I tell you it entered my mind….BUT  I was immediately reminded of —  Mark 8:23  “ And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him what he saw “–

When that scripture came to mind. I knew that I knew. So I  spit on my  fingers and laid  hands on his eyes and commanded his eyes to open.. His eyes opened. And he began to explain what he was seeing.  Now in my opinion that is Crazy Faith.

Another ….

I was in a prayer meeting with some members of a Church. The Pastor’s wife was present and they had just accepted the call to this church.  They had come from a vastly different climate and she had gotten sun burned and bitten by many different bugs which had caused infection on her body.

Rabbit Trail:  Have you ever smelled the fragrance of the Lord when He was present? Sometimes you can smell His presence.

Having said that I heard the Lord say Use YOUR CRAZY FAITH —  I knew what He meant ..I called for prayer and asked someone to pray.. They did, but I was impressed to pray…that the bugs would not be able to bite her any more because as they came near they would smell the presence of the Lord —There were smiles—you know, Oh! that is just the crazy prophet…Well –???

If you want this kind of faith you have to step out and use it or it will not happen.

The Gift of Faith cannot be developed. It is Gods Faith in manifestation. God’s Faith doesn’t need developing. Although this gift cannot be developed itself, you can however develop yourself in the operation of it.  I know a little play on words.

The primary way in which you can develop yourself in the operation of this Gift of Faith, is by the development of your own personal faith. Your own personal level of faith is directly tied to the consistency, accuracy & strength of all 9 gifts of the Spirit in your life.

Rom 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, [let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; do want this kind of faith?- Crazy faith—will you pay the price? Many want this but are not willing to pay the FULL price.

The Spirit of God is seeking whosoever will pay the price for this—are you one of them?

TODAY MOST CHURCHES DON’T BELIEVE.  WE ARE DESTROYED FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.  MANY CHOOSE THE GIFTS THAT THEY WANT AND DON’T BELIEVE IN SPEAKING IN TONGUES.  WE DON’T ACCEPT ALL THE GIFTS.  IT IS LIKE A BUFFET TABLE.  WE PICK AND CHOOSE.  WE REFUSE THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT THEREFORE WE REFUSE TO ACCEPT THE POWER THAT IS PROVIDED TO US.

Most of the main denominational churches today don’t believe in the Gifts—they pick and choose the Gifts they can accept—Therefore they are – “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge – Hosea 4:6.

2 CHRONICLES 20

2nd Chronicles 20

Jim Mellard

We overcome by the word of our testimonies and the blood.

Revelation 12:11 – And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing]. (AMP)

The Holy Spirit would say to you today that I am giving you more revelation. I am giving you more weapons, more understanding so that you will stand tall in this world. I have begun to open secrets that the prophets of old would have liked to have known. I am opening a new door, new weapons – Revelation and insight into My Word. I am going to put before you My Word in a manner (revelation) that as any situations arise you will be able to apply My Word immediately and you shall see how Isaiah 55:11 shall apply. You will see and hear from My people, the ones who will say- Yes Lord and apply My principles to their situation, you will see and hear of many miracles, for My Word will be glorified and I in turn will rejoice in My Son.

For a moment I want to show you what this means to me and YOU – if you will allow. Like most of you, I have read and studied the Bible, but God began teaching me on 2 Chronicles 20.

Beginning in Verse 1-5 – We are told that Jehoshaphat was advised that an enemy was going to kill him and his people. He was afraid and did not know what to do, so he called all the people together and they began a fast.

When the dark clouds gather, the winds begin to blow bringing more questions than answers, friends betray you, you can’t seem to hear God, there is fear in your heart of “what if”, this is where Jehoshaphat was and when this happens God will reveal the hidden things to us.

Daniel 2:22 – He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him! (AMP)

Matthew 6:6 -But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open. (AMP)

Job 15:8 – Were you present to hear the secret counsel of God? And do you limit [the possession of] wisdom to yourself? (AMP)

Psalms 25:16 – [Lord] turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.

What does 2nd Chronicles 20 tell us?

Verse 6 – He tells God who he is – Worship.

Verse 7-8 – Reminds God of what he has done – Praise.

Verse 9 – Reminds God of the Covenant they have.
When I first taught on this I was encouraged to make covenant with God concerning my situations…I DID!

Verse 10-11 – Tells God what the enemy is doing.

Verse 12 – Will you help us?

Verse 14-15 – The Spirit of God comes on the prophet and He speaks. Part of a prophet’s call is to represent God to the people as well as the people to God (Intercession). All Prophets are Intercessors, but not all Intercessors are Prophets. God speaks – It is not your battle. It is mine! Be not afraid!

Jehoshaphat understands! He says Trust in the Lord and you will be established, believe his prophets and you shall prosper.

Victory

The rest of the Chapter is VICTORY! Now let’s apply this to us.

Vs 6-7 – Jehoshaphat began to seek the Lord and began to declare who He is. You praise him and then you begin to worship him. Praise is defined as thanking Him for what He has done. Worship is defined as declaring Him as who He is.

Example: Father I thank you for Jesus, for His dying that I might live. I thank you for the gifts you have given me, the fellowship. And now Father I declare you are King of Kings, Lord of Lord! You are awesome! There is none like you and I just am in awe before you! Lord I love you!

First he declared who he is. You are the God of our Fathers, the God of the Heavens, power and might are in your hand. You have driven out the people that tried to hurt us. Telling him what he has done and reminding him of his covenant with them.

We dwell in your protection. If evil comes we will stand before you and claim Your Name. We are called by Your Name. They praise and worship God and remind him of His covenant with us, some of you made a covenant with God, I did.

As the veil was pulled from my eyes, my heart jumped with understanding and joy, for I knew God was not a respecter of person. Hallelujah!

I took the Word literally. I began to practice the Word and did exactly as Jehoshaphat did.

V8-10 – Worships the Lord. He continues to worship God.

V11 – He makes known his problems.

V12 – Admits he doesn’t know what to do, but I trust you.

V13—14 – Here comes God (the Spirit of the Lord) comes on the situation.

battle is the lords

V 15 – Oh, yea! The Lord speaks – BE NOT AFRAID FOR THE BATTLE IS THE LORD’S NOT YOURS.

Wow!! Can you believe that? We have a covenant with God. What kind of covenant have you entered with God?

V16 – Although the Lord said it is my battle we are told to go out . Don’t need to fight, just stand and watch, fear not. If you will, a personal example of this. Last year I had some business problems, and as I was recovering, another problem came up and then another. The Lord said go to the people and re-sell , I went to the stores and they were waiting on me and purchased my products again! I had to go to them. I could not just sit and wait. I had to do my part, I went. I saw and the victory was mine.

V18 – Is a similitude of the birthing position. A new beginning if you will.

V19 – They went and went in faith believing that God’s Word was good.

V20 – As the prophets spoke…Believe them and you will be established and will prosper. You see how important it is to have the 5 fold ministry operating in your church. Without it you will not be equipped to handle the upcoming season.

2 Chronicles 20

When you are in doubt of what to do in any situation God has an answer: God will reveal the hidden things to us. Daniel 2:22-Job 15:8-Psalms 25:16; Matthew 6:6

Verse 1-2 – When it begins to rain on your life, you look around and you see the dark clouds forming, the winds begin to blow bringing more questions than answers, friends betray you. You can’t see the answer… you are afraid…THEN at last. You run to God for help.
You get your family. And you seek the Lord. You inquire, research and then you require of Him…What do I do now Lord.

Vs 5 ,6, 7 – You seek the Lord and began to declare who He is, you praise him and then you begin to worship him…Praise defined as thanking Him for what He has done, Worship Him defined as who He is. Example: Father I thank you for Jesus, for dying that I might live. I thank you for the gifts you have given me, the fellowship. And now Father I declare you are King of Kings, Lord of Lord, you are awesome there is none like you and I just am in awe before you…Lord I love you!

V 6-10 – Worships the Lord.

Vs 11 – Tells of the rewards for doing this.

Vs 12 – Admits don’t know what to do, but I trust you.

Vs 13—14 – Here comes God (the Spirit of the Lord) comes on the situation.

V 15 – Oh yea…the Lord speaks…BE NOT AFRAID FOR THE BATTLE IS THE LORD’S NOT YOURS.

V20 – As the prophets’ spoke– Believe them and you will be established and will prosper. You see how important it is to have the 5-fold ministry operating in your church. Without it you will not be equipped to handle the upcoming season.
