The Supernatural Promises God Has For You

The Tree of Life

Bonnie Nelson

This is a part of what happened in the Monday Night Forum, October 16th, where we are looking into the supernatural promises God has available to those who are seeking Him. In my study, I found several places where interesting things attached themselves to the promises, so there are as we say, a few rabbit trails included. This is part one – An Introduction to The Supernatural Promises God Has For You

Introduction

There are a lot of people who warn others about the consequences of sin with threats of hell, eternal punishment, death and fire, however it might be time for us to reconsider our witnessing techniques and begin to tell them about God’s Heavenly Promises & Rewards He offers to those who try to live their lives righteously following His Word and overcoming the trials and tribulations of this world.

Why should we wage war against sin in our lives and fight against evil in this world? What difference does it make what we do? Good vs Evil or Right vs Wrong, who cares? After all, we are our own judge and we have our rights. In this world today the mainstay is, “If it feels good do it and anything I want to do, I can do.” No one can tell me what to do, my opinion is better than yours and I if I don’t like it, you can’t do it or say it.

I don’t know about you but, as I look at our world today it looks really messed up. Everyone is saying whatever they want with no respect to anyone else. What was morally wrong suddenly seems to be right. People are fighting over issues from the past claiming they offended them, discrimination and racial slurs of anger and hate are being hurled at everyone and anyone, violent protests with destruction of property are acceptable and required to voice an opinion for or against something or someone; and those who were born male, suddenly want to be female and vice versa. Have I missed anything? I’m sure I have, but that is certainly enough for me to start with. Surely the time for Jesus to return is close.

For many of us, our spirits are grieving as we see what is happening and we are crying out to Yahweh to help us and our Nation through this pressing time as the minute one of us says something about hell, fire and damnation, people scoff and say who cares, if I burn I burn and if I die I die, so what! Don’t talk to me about that Bible stuff, its not real, its just a joke. Jesus is coming soon, “Yeah right, so what?”

So how do we handle that? What do we say next? Instead of shaking our heads and walking away, how about we begin to shift our witnessing away from the hell, fire and brimstone to, “Do you know all supernatural things God has promised to give you, if you join up with His Kingdom? You probably heard Jesus is coming soon and you may or may not believe that but, are you willing to gamble it is not true and loose out on all the supernatural promises God has written about, which could be yours? Do you know what the Bible says about you?

Think on this. How about eternal life, no diseases, no death and life without all the junk we are dealing with now? Do you realize you could be throwing away your place in the Kingdom of Heaven where you would to rule and reign with Jesus over cities, Nations, or get this, maybe even other worlds in other solar systems and galaxies in the heavens. You like Star Trek or Star Wars? How would you like to live in that type of world?

Maybe your dreams can’t come true here and you got a bad deal, the years are flying by and health issues have got you down, but when Yahshua/Jesus comes back, things are gonna change. Wouldn’t it be smart to check out some of the things, which are promised to you in the Bible, just in case they might be true?

Sometimes we have more faith in a chair to hold us when we sit down, than in a promise God has given us in the Bible. Many say the Bible is not true, but challengers to the Bible have found it is historically accurate regarding cultures, the history of nations and world happenings in the past. If the Bible has recorded accurately things in the past, what makes us think the things spoken to come – won’t happen?

If you can just stop for a moment and stir up a little seed of faith to believe what is written about the rewards God offers us when we choose Him over all the sin and evil in the world, oh man! You in for a great supernatural future. Hope for the future for when Jesus comes back, is an incredible thing to have in your soul, especially when you understand His promises of rewards to us.

The Scripture which confirms that God is a rewarder of those who come to Him is is in Hebrews:

But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

Want to know about the rewards, the perks for seeking God and living a faithful life? I do.

To the Overcomer the Promise: The Tree of Life

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

The Tree of Life is symbolic of Eternal Life

One of the rewards we are promised concerns our decision to not only resist sin and evil, but to rule over it. We have the right to say no to sin and overcome things which are not godly which try to steal our freedom and put us into bondage, because of the sacrifice Jesus made on the Cross. The Bible says this in Genesis 4:7:

If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”

When Adam and Eve were in the garden and decided to disobey God and eat fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, it symbolized they decided to take charge of what was right and wrong based on their “human reasoning & emotions.” Sound like what is happening today? They were not in control long before Satan took control and stepped in to rule over them. See Genesis Chapters 2-3

We all know the story about Eve being deceived and Adam disobedient. They both ate from the tree and most people say Satan deceived them in the form of a serpent. Question? Was Eve tempted by a snake?

What picture do you have in your head when we talk about Eve being tempted in the Garden? I think of the pictures on the Internet showing Eve with Adam standing by and the snake, known as Satan, wrapped around the apple tree. Is this what you see?

Most all of us have taken for granted a snake tempted her and she ate an apple.
Well, the apple was not a fruit know to the area they were in, so first off, it was probably a fig. What about the snake wrapped around the tree?

The Bible translate the Hebrew word “Nachash (Strongs Concordance #H5175), which is used to designate the beast that led her to sin.The King James and other versions translate Nachash, found in Genesis 3, as “serpent,” while other Bibles render the word as “snake.”

In our English language, both “snake” and “serpent” can mean the same thing. An elongated reptile that has no limbs and possesses scales. (dictionary.com)
It journeys from place to place by moving its body along the ground.

It might be, the animal (snake/serpent) we all have believed to be the culprit that tempted Eve and brought “the fall of man,” is NOT the same one described in the Bible. Interested? Genesis 3:1 reveals some interesting stuff about the beast.

No doubt the serpent (Nachash) was more cunning than any creature of the field, which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Is it true that God has said, “You shall not eat of any tree of the garden?” HBFV

The Bible shares this animal was created by Yahweh on the same day Adam and Eve were made and it was declared “very good”

24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

The serpent (Nachash) was even given a name by Adam. Genesis 2:19-20

This beast was made with “reasoning ability” as it was more cunning than ANY creature and it was ABOVE all other created beasts. It could Speak and had the necessary organs to allow it to do so. Plus, it was able to WALK erect and had (at a minimum) at least FOUR limbs.

These are amazing facts for us to think about concerning the appearance and ability of Nachash’s original physical and mental abilities. Bible Study Tools states the following.

“…the woman (Eve) no doubt having often seen him (the Nachash) walk erect, talk, and reason, and therefore she testifies no kind of surprise when he accosts her in the language related in the text..” (Adam Clarke Commentary on Genesis 3:1)

“Keil & Delitzsch Commentary on Genesis 3:14 shares: “If these words are not to be robbed of their entire meaning, they cannot be understood in any other way than as denoting that the form and movements of the serpent (Nachash) were altered..”

John Wesley’s Explanatory Notes share, “Upon thy belly shalt thou go – No longer upon feet, or half erect,, but thou shalt crawl along..”

Whatever the Nachash was that deceived Eve, it certainly does line up with what we know as a snake or serpent in our world today.

I also have questions about whether Satan entered the Nachash or the Nachash was just in agreement with Satan. I don’t believe that Satan manifested himself as the Nachash, however, I am reminded of the verse in Matthew 16:23:

Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of men.” WEB

Another version, God’s Word Translation says this:

But Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get out of my way, Satan! You are tempting me to sin. You aren’t thinking the way God thinks but the way humans think.”

Peter was not Satan, but this implies the things he was thinking and saying were being influenced by the thoughts of Satan. Could the same thing have happened to the Nachash or more importantly, could the same thing happen to us?

Rembrandt, the famous painter from the 17th century Renaissance did an etching in 1638 which portrays a slightly more accurate Biblical scene of the “temptation of man” than the depiction we are most familiar with. He shows an animal, with legs, tempting Eve.

The most compelling reason for us not to believe Eve was tempted by a being that we call the snake today is, it would mean Yahweh’s CURSE upon this beast would be meaningless! Going to Genesis 3:14 HBFV

“Because you have done this you are cursed above all livestock, and above every animal of the field. You shall go upon your belly, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life….”

God cursed this creature with a punishment that was ABOVE all the livestock and animals of the field (which by the way all had limbs) by having it’s means of transporting (moving) itself CHANGED to crawling on it’s belly;

If the beast who deceived Eve was a snake, then wouldn’t the curse it received be redundant and meaningless, as it was already slithering on the ground to move! Think about that. It would also mean that Yahweh originally created a “cursed” land animal, when it says He made all creatures good (Genesis 1:21-25). God declared ALL the animals he made were “very good”, meaning “all livestock” and “every animal of the field” were not cursed in anyway.

So, the beast that deceived Eve could not have been a snake. The Nachash Satan used had the natural ability to speak, had certain reasoning (cunning) abilities, and could transport itself using its limbs.

The enemy of our souls know the perfect means to encourage disobedience and sin in humans (us). With Judas:

Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. Luke 22:3.

And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him; John 13:2

The punishment which the “Nachash” received dramatically changed it from a walking, talking and reasoning creature to one that sliters, hisses and has only brute instinct. To my knowledge in our world today there is no animal which represents the Nachash. It could well be, the Nachash who spoke in the Garden of Eden to Adam and Eve, has ceased to exist? Probably so.

Part Two Adam and Eve Removed From the Garden

I am The American Flag & Cowgirl’s National Anthem Etiquette

We Raised Up Our Flag At Ground Zero
And We Can Do It Again In 2018

I am the American Flag

I speak from the wisdom of a long life. I first felt the vigor of wind on my multi-colored face when I unfurled my thirteen stars over 230 years ago. I have known 45 presidents and have traveled across continents, oceans and deserts… and on the surface of the moon.

I was there when my nation was born. I was in the hand of my first President in the blood and snow of Valley Forge. I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice. I stand for freedom.

I have earned the right to speak. The right paid for my freedom of speech is a price few remember or can comprehend. Most forget, but I still see in my memory those bright, beautiful young men, who died for me at Pork Chop Hill, Normandy, Iwo Jima, Pearl Harbor, the Coral Sea, Okinawa, Corrigidor, the jungles of Vietnam and in Iraq and Afghanistan. . . . I have fought in every American battle of every war since 1776. . . . and when they died for me, I wrapped them in my love and draped my honor over their caskets.

Those who died for my right to speak in freedom are buried in the Flanders Field of France, the Punchbowl in Hawaii, in Arlington and Gettysburg and in many other places under the sun. I fly proudly over their graves at all of these places, praying than wars might end forever. I rise every morning to watch over the graves of our finest men whose years were short, but whose service was longer than we can ever measure.

Because of those brave American patriots I can fly atop the greatest buildings in the world. I can stand watch in America’s halls of justice. I fly majestically over institutions of learning and stand guard as the greatest power in the world. Stand up and see me. I am the most recognized symbol in the universe.

Yes, I am the American flag. More than one million three hundred thousand lives have been sacrificed to give me the right to speak. I have been burned, torn and trampled on the streets of countries I have helped set free. I have been stained, spit upon and defiled by my detractors. Yet there is no place on the face of this earth that knows greater freedom than my country.

Freedom to each man, woman and child, to choose his life’s work, to travel from state to state without passports, to attempt and succeed, to fail and not be cast in prison for failure.

Freedom to save and build a fortune you may give away at the end of your life to your family, friends or charity.

Freedom to speak, write, praise, question or criticize anyone, no matter how high his station or rank.

Freedom to worship or not to worship as the mind and heart dictate.

Freedom to borrow and build, to buy and sell, to make an honest profit in a free enterprise system.

Freedom to start your own business and become a capitalist, to create dignified job opportunities for people who want to know the pride of working for a living.

I am proud of the harvest of our land….. corn, wheat, cotton, apples, nuts cherries, oranges and peaches. I see the harvest of our 50 states, and I am proud, for we help feed the hungry of the world.

Be humble and be proud of our greatness. I am particularly humble and proud when I am torn into strips and used as bandages for my wounded comrades on the battlefield, or when I am flown at half-mast to honor my soldiers, or when I lie in the trembling arms of a grieving parent at the grave of their fallen son or soldier. We stagger at the eternal debt we owe to the untold number of American Veteran’s who chose to set aside their personal ambitions and dreams to assure the well being of our nation.

Yes, be proud and be humble . . . . enough to know where your glory and greatness come from. I am called “Old Glory.” My glory is the freedom that I give to every man, woman and child living in America.

I am the world’s beacon of hope and liberty. . . . and all I can say is give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.

Yes, I am the American Flag. I am your flag. I am the flag of freedom.

From A Cowgirl’s Point of View

ISIS – SPIRITUAL WARFARE – THE HIDDEN AGENDA

ISIS-SPIRITUAL WARFARE- THE HIDDEN AGENDA

BONNIE NELSON

Hello Firestorm

This week my heart is heavy, as I watched the news regarding the Jordanian Pilot who was burned alive in a cage, evidently a month ago, while Isis was trying to negotiate his release for money in the last couple weeks. It was a heinous act of premeditated murder against a prisoner of war and they lied about his death. It should be clear at this time there can be no negotiations with this honor-less group. Was there really ever a doubt?

The question resonating in my spirit is, “What kind of being can do this?” What are we dealing with and what is really happening? Surely this is evil on a level we have never seen before and maybe, beyond our ability to comprehend. I am uncomfortable in my spirit wondering what the enemy is doing behind the scenes of all this mess. He is keen in his ability to create distractions.

I know it is written in the Quran to cut off heads of your enemy, but the burning alive? What’s up with that? I remember Hitler burned Jewish people because it is against their religion to be cremated. Could this be the motive behind this horrific murder? Premeditated hate, cold blooded plans to torture in the worst of ways, body, soul and spirit? And wasn’t this man who was murdered a Muslim? They are killing their own?

Some might ask me, what difference does all this make and rise up in anger, but it does make a difference. Knowing your enemy and the reason behind things they do or don’t do, can identify who they are so we get the advantage and thwart any hidden agendas.

So, in searching the Quran…..Some Information

In regard to what we have already seen with the crucifixions of Christians and Jews, young and old; chopping off heads, feet, hands, and fingertips, it’s in the Quran:

Quran (5:33) – “The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement”

Quran (8:12) – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them”

But what about burning this man alive? Is that in the Quran?

No. Matter of Fact, In Islam, funeral rites and practices have been prescribed by the divine law, in accordance with the dictates of Allah. According to this law, beginning from the time of Prophet Adam until the last Prophet, Muhammad, peace and blessing be upon them all, burying the dead has been the prescribed method of conveying the deceased to their graves. We have no mention anywhere that cremation was acceptable in any of the previous dispensations from Allah

Allah says in the Qur’an: “We have honored sons of Adam.” (Q. 17:70). In keeping with the spirit of this verse, according to scholars, it is necessary for us treat the human body with the utmost of respect not only when a person is alive, but also when he/she is dead. Burning the deceased or discarding bodies to be eaten by vultures, wild beasts, etc., is considered sacrilege and abhorrent and, therefore, forbidden according to Islam.

Two reasons why Muslims do not burn the dead:

1] Allah has given us clear guidelines on how to bury our dead; what we do not do, what we have to do, and what is permitted to do. And the teachings of Islam includes treating the dead with respect in a way that will fit the dead person. We wash him, cleanse him, and put a white shroud around him, then we offer a funeral prayer (janazah) and pray forgiveness for him. Allah does not include cremation as a part of it. Thus we do not do this nor are we permitted to do so.

2] Allah says:”And indeed We have honoured the Children of Adam” [17:70]
Cremation is deemed as an act of dishonor to the dead. We derive at this by what we call Qiyas alawla, elevated analogy. Meaning, if we are not permitted to trample on the dead body, or sit on the actual grave itself, then more so with burning the body to ashes!

Cremation is considered “haram,” that is forbidden in Islam. Islamic teachings on the dead require that the deceased be cleaned, shrouded, prayed for, buried in the earth and visited with reverence. Any other treatment, including cremation, is considered an act of disrespect and sin.

Muslims believe that the deceased must be treated with the same respect as the living. This belief originates from the Prophet Mohammed’s statement that breaking the bone of the deceased’s body is like breaking it in life. Burning the dead for cremation, like breaking the bones of the dead or other such mutilation, is therefore prohibited, as is accepting or encouraging such treatment. According to some Muslims, the condemnation of cremation should extend to all living creatures including animals and plant life.

Cremation of Non-Muslims

Just as it is forbidden to cremate a Muslim, it is also forbidden for a Muslim to cremate a non-Muslim. Muslims believe, based on the Prophet Mohammed’s teachings, that burning is a punishment that must only be delivered by the Creator, and that respect for the dead applies to Muslims and non-Muslims. A Muslim must not, therefore, cremate another, or participate in the act of cremation in any other way, such as by witnessing the event or approving of it.

Exception

There is only one situation in which cremation may be allowed in Islam. If large numbers of people are killed by disease that would spread through burial, burning of the bodies may be permitted. Prior to the cremation, the potential spread of disease through traditional burial must be proven and express permission must be given by authorities.

**********************************************************************************

So, this Isis group is a radical, free flying group, which has come forth out of the Islam culture with some of their characteristics, but they are evolving into something new, making up their own rules, their own religion and they don’t care who, where or how many people, what age or sex they kill or how they kill them. The more perverse the better, in order to further their terrorist agenda.

Question? So, if they don’t follow Allah’s commands, if he is not their god, who is?

It appears we have come to the place where anything goes with this Isis group and they are on the move. Do you know what they want? Do you know what their agenda is? Do they want oil, money, their own country? Head’s Up!

They want “The World,” and really that means, they want America and they are hell bent to take it. It is our Country, which is the hidden agenda and no one is saying a word about it.

They are already attacking many of our allies from within; Israel, France, England, New Zealand, Norway, Australia and they are in America too. We are already experiencing terror attacks in our Nation, which reveal their DNA.

However, rest assured, at the heart of it all, is America. She is the treasure they seek to own and make their home. And who is their leader, the god they follow, who has no regard for human life? None other than Satan.

Satan has already been at work in the heart of our Nation preparing for his take over, dividing us into separate camps over petty issues, ripping apart our morals and bringing us down into a pit of debt where we will not be economically strong enough to pay for our military and/or help our Allies. He has empowered an army of beings with NO SOULS and they are marching in strategic places all over the world getting ready………America is under attack, but guess what? Those of us who are Christians, we are in their way.

I must admit I have been angry over the perverted acts of Isis. My inner soul has been riled up and wanting payback wondering “Why can’t “we” just go over there and remove this group. We have satellites and information on where they are.”What is the problem? What is holding us back from taking care of this Cancer before it becomes even more evil, festering and reaching into the very heart of every home in the world, to rob, steal and destroy everything and anything they believe they have the authority and power from their god to do.

Rest assured, its coming. The World will attack Isis for in my spirit, I hear the voices of the World crying out for revenge, payback and the sound of bombs and gunfire as soldiers advance against each other. And I hear weeping over the dead and the sound of death gleefully reaping lost souls. Can you hear the sound of death?

While here, we fiddle faddle around just as Sodom and Gomorrah; Samaria and Judah, dancing, singing and doing everything possible to satisfy the desires and lusts of our flesh and be comfortable, Satan is busy at work planting his hardcore army into our inner cities and schools, while we remain tolerant of anything and everything that is not of our God, fearful of saying anything against evil, which might offend anyone and heaven forbid, we would go so far as to offend people by saying that Name, Jesus.

Well, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, He is The One, He Reigns and He is Lord over ALL creation.

Satan has distracted us away from our First Love and released a cloud of terror to where we cannot see what is coming. The watchers are asleep on the walls seeing nothing, the Intercessors are silent because they are not hearing anything. The Church gathers, but does not come together.

Awake, Awake and come into order. Pastors, Teachers, Evangelists, Prophet’s, Apostles…Awaken in the House of God, for the battle is raging and we need to rise and take our place with the armies in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Let us come together and raise our voices to the heavenlies……..This is our warfare and we shall be victorious. Let us war for our Nation with the Word of God. Let us loose the power of God and the authority we have over this Nation and this world and give it
to God to empower the armies in the heavens. United we stand!….Hallelujah! Earth calling for Heaven to come down, united in righteousness and the Power of the Word of God!

Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit Says the Lord Almighty.

Rise up Church..Here are your weapons

We release the Word of the Lord over all that which is not of Jesus Christ that comes to rob, steal and destroy. In the Name Above All Names, Yahshua/Jesus

Lord You said:

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Isaiah 54:17

I claim this word and release it over our Nation and the World, in the Name of Yahshua/Jesus

And Lord You said when we gather together we shall have power…..

And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. Lev 26:8

And You said You would fight for us Father. I loose Your Words over this nation and Your People…….

One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the Lord your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you. Joshua 23:10

The World will always do things in the flesh, but it is written, I am in the world, but I am not of the world. I have been reborn into another Kingdom, which is not of this world. I claim my inheritance in the Kingdom of Heaven…Hallelujah!

I have been distracted…….My flesh has distracted me from what is happening in the spirit realm. But, NO MORE! Scriptures tells me: vengeance is mine saith the Lord and do not repay evil with evil and bless your enemies. I am quickly regrouping my thoughts and getting a hold of my “feelings,” as everything I wanted to do, I know, I am commanded not to do and I know this war will not be won through the natural, but through the weapons of our warfare, which are not carnal to the pulling down of strongholds. Intercessors lift your voices…….

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Cor 10:3-5

We shall overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and by the Power of the Word. The Church victorious…The Gates of Hell will NOT prevail against the Church. We are Not on Defense – We are on Offense. Rise Up Church! This is your time!

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 16:17-19

As the Holy Spirit began to minister, I began to hear, gather the Army, use the Sword of the Spirit, the Word. Well duh! When I got angry in the natural, I lost my perspective of what I should be doing in the spiritual. Forgive me Lord, I need to get ready for warfare in the spirit, not in the flesh. I need to prepare for battle.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

And forgive me Lord for I also know You said:

18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 18:18-20

I bind up those forces which have been loosed to murder and kill and I say NO More, You are exposed you cannot hide. The armies of the Lord are heading your way. I speak confusion, division and fear into your camp. In the Name of Yahshua. I curse the weapons and vehicles you are using to fail, the computers to crash and the monies you have stolen to disappear and weather systems to come against you. Assignments are broken, Isis you are a defeated foe, by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

I declare Isaiah 59:19 over my Nation and the peoples of God

So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

As a Born Again Believer in Jesus Christ, I declare this Scripture over America and Israel against those who have risen up against Our God and seek bring terror and death to His People. As it was in days of old…….

“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied” (1 Samuel 17:45, KJV)

I release that stone, that rock with the power of the Lord Jesus Christ and say, The battle is the Lord’s and the Victory is His and We are saved because of Him and the Blood He shed for us.

This is The Day

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

FS WAKE UP & GET THE REST OF THE STORY

ADAM, EVE & YOU

BONNIE NELSON

Hello Firestorm:

I read a post on a Facebook feed this week, showing a picture of a gay-affirming church at a Nashville Pride parade, where people were holding up a banner with written letters for everyone to see with the words, “God is PROUD of you”.

Although there are many in the Pulpit who endorse this lifestyle as being something God is proud of, it is hard not to hear biblical warnings of  “spiritual repercussions or consequences,” which come forth, if and when we attempt to alter what is written in Scripture. And how many of you know it is hard to give a warning and have people take you serious, when they are in the midst of ministers and laymen alike, who are encouraging, celebrating, rewarding and telling people what they are doing is fine in the eyes of God? But, is that true?

Those who know the Lord and His Word are familiar with the term “reverential fear of God” and understand, a lot of what is happening today is dangerous, not only in the natural, but in the spiritual realm as well. The question becomes, can we make God proud if we are not walking inline with His Word and can we make Him proud, if we do not move in love and restraint, regarding emotional hot button issues the enemy is using in so many different ways today?

In the article, the reason shared why we have so many problems in the world today is because people doubt God’s Word. Here is the quote and the Scripture referenced.

**************************************

“So, it really comes down to believing the authority of God’s Word, the holy Scriptures, doesn’t it?

This basic and fundamental error of doubting the Word of God is the very reason for the controversy surrounding gay marriage and for Man’s fall in the beginning. It is the very reason for the curse and calamities that have befallen this world. It set the law of sin and death into motion.

They, specifically Evedoubted God’s Word. And the serpent said to the woman, “Has God said, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?” (Gen. 3:1).”

******************************************************

I humbly submit the following for your prayerful consideration, and I am willing to receive and consider more revelation as the Holy Spirit leads.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16

First, I don’t see Eve “doubted God’s Word,” or doubting God’s word being the main reason for all our troubles. I believe this is just one of the symptoms, but not the root of the issues we see today.

With that said…..

God never told Eve not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

God “ONLY” told Adam not to eat of the tree of good and evil or he would die. This was a private conversation between God and Adam, because Eve had not yet been created. (Gen 2:15-17)

*********************************************************

15 The Lord God took the man and placed him in the orchard in Eden to care for it and to maintain it. 16 Then the Lord God commanded the man, “You may freely eat fruit from every tree of the orchard, 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will surely die.”

**************************************************

All the “you’s” mentioned above are singular and spoken specifically to Adam.

In the Hebrew, the word “tahell” is singular and “tahelloo” or “tahelv” is plural, making it obvious from the Written Word, God is speaking to “one” person, Adam.

Example: And how many of you know, God can call you into a fast in the midst of times, when everyone else is allowed to eat, drink and be merry?

*******************************************************

God never told Eve she could not eat from the tree. As a matter of fact, God told Eve, she could eat of all the trees.  So, in eating the fruit of the tree, she didn’t doubt God’s Word, she believed Him, if anything, she doubted Adam’s words.

Watch this.

In Genesis 1:28-29 The Scriptures reveal God speaking to “BOTH” Adam and Eve and this is before Eve’s conversation with the serpent.

************************************************

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply! Fill the earth and subdue it! Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that moves on the ground.”

29 Then God said, “I now give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the entire earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.

***********************************************

All the yous above are plural and specific to Adam and Eve. Note:  God told them both, they could eat of “every tree.”

So, what’s up with this?  Eve was with Adam, they were together, and God spoke directly to them both, telling them they could eat from ALL the fruit trees.

The only command given, in the beginning, not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, was from God directly to Adam and Adam alone, NOT to Eve. This was a deal between God and Adam.

Three times in the Hebrew text, God’s command was given to Adam only, plus it is recorded here, God directly told Eve, she could eat of all the trees and Adam heard this, because he was there.  Gen 1:29-30 NKJV

**********************************************

Why did God only tell Adam not to eat of the tree?

God made Adam first. He became the spiritual head or authority over everything.

He had the original spirit giving life for all of mankind. When God made Adam, he breathed the spirit of life into both sides of his nose.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

*****************************************

When Eve was created, it is not said God breathed the spirit into her in the way He did with Adam.

God made Eve from a rib taken from Adam. (The rib itself contains blood in the marrow, and the life of the body is in the blood.)

“And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.” Gen 2:21-22

“For the life of the flesh [is] in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it [is] the blood [that] maketh an atonement for the soul.” Lev 17:11

When God made Eve, He not only multiplied her body from Adam’s body, God also multiplied her spirit from Adam’s spirit, like a seed that grows. And then she became an individual living soul as well.  She had a body and spirit (the breath of life), which is located in the blood. And this was all through the process of what the bible calls “multiplication”.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, Genesis 1:28

The spirit Eve received was birthed in her from what God took out of Adam.

Adam’s choices had power to affect the spirit of the woman, all their children and all of us today, because all of us were passed down the breath of life from him.

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.  Romans 5:19

Adam received incredible power from the spirit of life God breathed into him. In looking back we understand and see the responsibility for him not to eat from the tree was greater than anyone could have imagined. He held the spiritual keys to life and death for his generations and everything hinged on one thing, obeying the command of God.

Think on that for a moment.

The serpent enters Genesis 3:1-5 (NKJV)

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

This you is plural here, so the serpent is asking: Has God indeed said you and Adam shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Watch this:

3) And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, “You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.”

All the Hebrew “you’s” above, are plural, meaning this is to relating to “both” Adam and Eve.

Notice Eve says, she and Adam can’t eat or touch this tree in the midst of the garden.

Question?  Where did the “can’t eat or touch it” thing come from? God didn’t say that to her.  God told them, at the same time, when they were together, they could eat of all the trees. This has to have come from Adam to Eve. He was the only other person who could have mentioned they could not eat of the tree.

I wonder what was said in the discussion between Adam and Eve about this tree? Wouldn’t you and I like to have a recording of that conversation?

Was there a miscommunication between them?  That would make sense, because it is still happening today, especially between husbands and wives. They argue and fight and claim one or the other said this or didn’t say that? Confusion, twisted communications? (Leviathan the Serpent today?)

But then again, maybe the discussion was not a miscommunication.

Did Adam tell Eve “he” was the only one God told who could not eat from the tree? That would have been the “truth.”

Or did he alter what God said, by taking away or adding to God’s Words and tell Eve neither of them could eat from the tree?  Could he be the one who also told her they could not touch the tree?

If so, that would have been a lie and lies have away of going from a little white one, to a great big one.

If the serpent overheard conversations in the Garden, he would know what God said and that would give him insight on how to help him deceive Eve and have a type of control over Adam.

Here’s what happened next.

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. Genesis 3:6-7

Note:  The woman’s eyes are not recorded to have opened until after “the man ate the fruit.” There is no time delay mentioned between her and his eyes opening.

Adam ate and then, both of their eyes were opened. The download process was from his spirit, then to hers and then it would go to the children. The Bible does not say when Eve ate, her eyes were opened.

All sins and death come down through the spiritual lineage of the fathers (Adam) and multiplication or the reproduction of our bodies, comes through the woman.

This is why all of Adam’s children would have their eyes opened, sin and die, because their spirits came from Adam’s spirit, not Eve’s. Here is your scripture.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them, for I Jehovah thy God am a jealous God, visiting the “iniquity of the fathers” upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of them that hate me, Ex 20:5 ASV

The sinful nature passed through the spirit of Adam (the father) to Eve (the mother), and then it was multiplied again to all his children. This transference is not only the spirit of life, but attributes of the spirit too, such as sinfulness or mortality. Again passing from Adam to the mother and then, to their children.

Notice: Once they lost their spiritual covering or connection with God, they tried to “cover themselves” to do what they thought was good through their own knowledge, their way, without God. We are seeing the same thing in our world today.

Think on that for a moment.

*************************************

Next? God went looking for them.

Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” (singular, only Adam)

10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”

11 And He (God) said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”

(God to Adam – Who are YOU listening to?)

12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”

13 And the Lord God said to the woman, What is this you have done? The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

14 So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, (This is plural, God is speaking to Eve and the serpent)

This could better read: Because you two have done this

What had they done?

Together they had tempted the man to eat from the tree. The serpent knew what he was doing, but Eve is presented as being innocent in understanding what happened, until after the fact. Either way, innocent or not, she became an accomplice to the tempting of the man and would suffer her own set of consequences which would be passed down to all of mankind through her children until,
The Lord Jesus would return with His Plan of Salvation and Restoration

Clearly, through one person’s disobedience humanity became sinful, and through one person’s obedience humanity will receive God’s approval.

Romans 5:19

OK, I get that Eve was deceived and she admitted she was deceived, but I have some questions about “the rest of the story” the “set up process.”  In a deception there are moves/steps that happen to get everyone into the right place, at the right time and in order to understand the root, I am going to dig a little deeper.

What if Satan, “the father of lies, created a “sting” using Adam, Eve and the serpent to go after God’s head man, with plans to rob him of his credibility, steal his authority, destroy his spirit and all of us?

A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came so that my sheep will have life and so that they will have everything they need.

John 10:10 GWT

Sometimes, I need to put traditional thinking and teaching aside for a bit and look into the whole scenario of what happened for myself and allow the Holy Spirit reveal things to me in my spirit.

In the beginning God told Adam, not to eat from the tree. Then, God tells Adam and Eve, they can eat from all the trees. Would not Eve wonder why Adam’s story did not match what God said to them? Who would you believe?

When the serpent came, he lined up more with what God said than Adam.  He used some truth, a little smoke and mirrors, some double meanings and to top it off he added word of glory for them to be like gods. This is deception at its best: 90% truth and 10% death.

But, don’t you wonder, what was Adam doing? Why was he silent? If Adam failed to tell Eve correctly what God said in the first place, that HE was the one who could not eat of the tree, would all of this been avoided? Maybe Eve would not have been blindsided, if she had been given the truth of what God said to Adam. And why didn’t Adam speak up and tell the snake to get lost or seek God about this? Something is amiss and hidden.

As soon as Eve ate the fruit and lived, can’t you see her looking at Adam thinking, see God was right, we can eat and touch all the fruit of the trees, including this one. You didn’t tell me the truth.

But, Adam is still silent and then, I don’t get it, he eats the fruit. What is up with that? What could possibly keep him silent and push him to eat the fruit when he was told, one on one with God, if he ate the fruit he would die. Did he really think God lied to him? That could be a form of doubt, but it also challenges the integrity of God and His Word. Selah.

I can only think of a few things, which might cause Adam to do things like this and they may well be what we are seeing happen today.

When people get ensnared by lies and deception, they soon find themselves in a position where guilt, depression and regret for deeds done, can lead them to give up all hope and want to end it all.  I am reminded of Judas when he betrayed Jesus. Could Adam have found himself in a similar mess?   Could that be why he ate the fruit? (Selah) He was on self destruct?

Could the Root to The Whole Truth of the fall of Adam and Eve be a lie? The spiritual leader, Pastor of God’s new family, lied and when he did, the principles of sin and death, though they did not yet enter into Adam, was released to oppress and operate over him and Eve?

Adam had a soul just like us, with a mind, will and emotions. So, was pride at work here where Adam might have told Eve she could not eat of the tree to rule over her or to save face, because one of the “consequences” of the fall was for the husband to “rule” over the wife.  Was that what Adam did? Ruling over Eve (his wife) was not a command from God, it came as a consequence of the sin (curse) being released. (God said, Husbands love your wives)

We also have an interesting Scripture on pride.

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

Was Adam hiding a lie and silent, because of the fear of the lie being exposed?  Was it pride which kept him quiet, instead of warning Eve, not to eat the fruit? (Faith mobilizes, Fear paralyzes.)   Because Adam was silent and did not warn Eve, did he become an accomplice in giving aid to the serpent to deceive Eve, thus becoming a trigger for the beginning of his own downfall?

I understand that Adam and Eve were as children in the garden, everyone makes mistakes, Eve was deceived, Adam disobeyed, and I have compassion for them, yada, yada. But, we are in a now time, where we need to get real and smart to understand the depth of how shrewd Satan is. He works extremely hard to bring strife, deception, endless debates, division and death to the Church, which means he wants to kill you and I, for we are The Church.

Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. James 3:1

Could the real issue regarding Adam’s fall, be a wakeup call to the spiritual leaders of the Churches today, to remind us will be held accountable, not only for what we teach and share in God’s House, but for our own personal actions? Do we really understand the seriousness of the Word of God and why it is called the Sword of the Spirit.

God’s word is living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword and cuts as deep as the place where soul and spirit meet, the place where joints and marrow meet. God’s word judges a person’s thoughts and intentions. Hebrews 4:12 GWT

We are to use The Sword of the Spirit to bring life, not sin and death. It is our weapon of warfare, the only thing which is powerful enough to cut between the soul and the spirit, so when the enemy comes to destroy us through the weaknesses of our soul, The Holy Spirit uses it to reprove us and show us
the traps of the enemy and save our souls.

If we alter the Word of God to fit our needs or others, some of the sheep will follow, for without a responsible shepherd sheep will wander off the trail, making them easy prey for predators and wolves to come into them to rob, steal and destroy the souls of God’s People.

God’s Word is life and it brings life where there is death, however, if we alter it, replacing God’s Word of life and apply our words through our knowledge of good and evil, which is what already happened in the garden..  We don’t need to do that again!

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

I cry out for the teachers and the Shepherds needed today! The protectors of the flock, the faithful and true, who will encircle the flock with the Truth of The Word of God and expose, that which is not of God and not be ashamed or afraid to die or loose their positions?

Have we into a new area where many do not have ears to hear and are blinded to the reality of what is happening spiritually to them and what they are passing down to others? If so, is this the enemy or God?

“God blinded them and made them close-minded so that their eyes don’t see and their minds don’t understand. And they never turn to me for healing!” John 12:40

It is wise for us to teachable, able to receive what the Holy Spirit is pouring upon all of us during this season, examining our hearts daily and seek the Lord, our high priest, for His forgiveness.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I John 1:9 KJV

Did all of this stuff come from one little white lie, where the Word of God, was altered to make someone feel better or so someone could stay in a position of authority? Was one lie the trigger, which sparked the plan to bring deception into the family of God? Was the lie worth all of the horror which was released over ALL of Mankind?

It wasn’t worth it then and it is certainly not worth it today.  This is a wake up call for all of us to get our spiritual house in order.  It is not spring cleaning it is time to get ourselves ready as the 5 virgins were ready.

There are a couple of sayings going around, which might be beneficial to take heed, “If you think you cannot be deceived, you already are.” And what about:  “Gee, didn’t see that coming?”

Pride blinds.

And Biblically, Paul said had already given us something similar in the Word.

But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ 2 Cor 11:3

Adam was placed in the Garden as a spiritual leader, the priest over Eve and his family. Eve was given to him to love and because he needed her companionship and help. They were to be a team liken to a King and Queen to rule and reign, have children and subdue the earth.

Today we are living in what is called the Laodicea Church Age.  Laodicea means “The People’s Rights. No doubt, God created us to have free will and to make decisions, but it is wise to take note of His Word, for it is written:

12 Someone may say, “I’m allowed to do anything,” but not everything is helpful. I’m allowed to do anything, but I won’t allow anything to gain control over my life. I Cor 6:12

Let us do better today and be wise through the use of our personal words and how we treat the Word of God, so when we come before the Lord at the Bema Seat of Judgment, He will say, “Well done good and faithful servant.”

“His master replied, ‘Good job! You’re a good and faithful servant! You proved that you could be trusted with a small amount. I will put you in charge of a large amount. Come and share your master’s happiness.’ Matthew 25:23 GWT

He is coming back soon – Are You Ready?

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.

WHY MY GOD IS YAHWEH – IT’S ABOUT HIS NAME – PART 3

WHY MY GOD IS YAHWEH – IT’S ABOUT HIS NAME – PART 3

BONNIE NELSON

In continuing to address responses of why someone does not want to call our God (Elohim), by His Personal Name, Yahweh, some people said:

“He knows who I mean, and it doesn’t matter what I choose to call Him”

I have not been able to find any statement expressed or implied in the Bible where we are given the right to “rename” our Heavenly Father. Even in our culture, to bestow a name is the sole prerogative of a superior, as when a parent names his child and as when Adam named the animals under his dominion.

Since when does the one created have the right to address his Creator by any name he pleases?

Scriptures seem to hint; Yahweh Elohim is a bit adamant about “His Name”.

“If you will not hear, and if you will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, says Yahweh of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because you do not lay it to heart.” Malachi 2:2

Did you catch the warning about His Name, worship and obstinacy in this verse?

After reading this verse, does the argument “He knows who I mean, no matter what I choose to call Him,” sound a tad prideful, offensive and/or maybe dangerous.

Yahweh binds His Name in the Malachi Scripture above to the proper way to worship and He commands us, His People, to praise Him by His Name.

What Name do you think He is calling you to use for Him?

John 4:24 reminds us, “Yahweh is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” So, to deliberately ignore the Truth of His Name, in favor of what pleases us, even in our worship to Him, might be considered arrogant and deserving of rebuke.

We cannot reverse the flow of authority
Yahweh our Creator tells us how to worship Him, not the other way around.
Selah!

(Think About It)

Even beyond this, His knowing “who you mean” makes no difference to Him, if you refuse to honor and glorify Him as He demands, which includes using His right Name.

Yahweh is a man of war. Yahweh is his name Exodus 15:3

His Name represents Him and His truths, something no other name does

*********************************

Here is another reason used to not call on the Name Yahweh.

No one knows how to pronounce YHWH, as the pronunciation has been lost

Not only is this statement false, but the argument amounts to no more than the excuse, because of a supposed uncertainty, we should not even try to pronounce His Name. The fact is, the Name is given to us in the Hebrew in the form of the Tetragrammaton or “four letters,” which is YHWH, sounds like (Yod, Hay, Waw, Hay).

Think about this. If the true pronunciation of the Hebrew Name was lost, would not the entire pronunciation of the Hebrew Old Testament be lost as well? It would also mean in the passing-down process of the Hebrew tongue from one generation to another, at some point all the Jewish people suddenly woke up and forgot how to speak their own language!

If we can read the Old Testament out loud in the Hebrew, then we can also read the Name Yahweh accurately in the same Hebrew. Today the Jews read Hebrew every Sabbath in their synagogues and have no problem speaking their language.

Here is what the noted Encyclopaedia Judaica says about this issue: “The true pronunciation of the name YHWH was never lost.” Several early Greek writers of the Christian Church testify that the name was pronounced ‘Yahweh.’ This is confirmed, at least for the vowels of the first syllable of the name, by the poetry (e.g., Ex. 15:2) and the –yahu or –yah that serves as the final syllable in very many Hebrew names,” Vol. 7, p. 680.

The Encyclopaedia Britannica comments: “Early Christian writers, such as Clement of Alexandria in the 2nd century, had used the form Yahweh, thus this pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton, was never really lost. Greek transcriptions also indicated that YHWH should be pronounced Yahweh,” 15th Edition, Vol. X, p. 786.

The Catholic Encyclopedia notes: “The saying of God,

‘I am who I am,’ is surely connected with His name that is written in the Hebrew consonantal text as Yhwh, the original pronunciation of, which is well attested as, Yahweh,” 1967, Vol. 5, p. 743.

**************************

Another Reason shared not to use Yahweh’s Name

“But there are no vowels in the Hebrew, so how can we know how to pronounce the four letters of YHWH correctly?”

Vowels do exist in Hebrew, as in all languages, or else it would be impossible to speak Hebrew. Vowels are spoken via the open mouth, while consonants are spoken by closure of the lips or by tongue contact on teeth or palate. Old Testament Hebrew is composed of words written in consonants with the vowels understood.

Amazingly, all four letters of Yahweh’s Name are such consonant-vowels

This fact can be verified in most Hebrew grammars, including A Beginner’s Handbook to Biblical Hebrew
(Horowitz), p. 7 under “Vowel Letters”; The Berlitz Self-Teacher, p. 73 under “The Vanishing Dots”; Hebrew Primer and Grammar (Fagnani and Davidson) p. 10, under “The Quiescents and Mappiq,” and How the Hebrew Language Grew (Horowitz), p. 28.

First-century priest and historian Falvius Josephus writes about the sacred Name that was engraved on the headpiece of the high priest (Ex. 28:36-38): “A mitre also of fine linen encompassed his head, which was tied by a blue riband, about which there was another golden crown, in which was engraven the sacred name [of Yahweh]; it consists of four vowels,” Wars of the Jews, Book 5, chapter 5, p. 556. ****************************************

Is this Your Reason Not to Acknowledge The Name Yahweh?

“When the Bible speaks of His name
It just means His authority, not His literal name.”

It is true, to do or say something in someone’s name can mean, by the authority of that person, but that is only a small part of the meaning of Yahweh’s name in His Word.

Through the Hebrew verb of existence, haYah, the Name Yahweh defines the very nature, character, and essence of Yahweh. His Name means to cause to be. To claim that references to His name refer only to His authority is incongruous (not in harmony or keeping with the surroundings or other aspects of something, unsuitable, inappropriate) in many important passages of Scripture. To drive home the point, let’s change the word “name” to “authority” in the following verses. See whether each still makes proper sense:

“Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? who has gathered the wind in his fists? who has bound the waters in a garment? who has established all the ends of the earth? what is his [authority] and what is his son’s [authority], if you can tell?” Prov. 30:4

Do you see a difference when you take out the word “NAME and substitute the word authority?” Here’s another verse.

“That men may know that thou, whose [authority] alone is YAHWEH, art the most high over all the earth.”

Ps. 83:18 (Note: Remember the history of the name Jehovah? Your Bible may contain this artificial, manmade word, Jehovah)

“Sing unto Elohim, sing praises to his [authority] extol him that rides upon the heavens by his [authority] YAH, and rejoice before him.” Ps. 68:4 (Note: Your Bible may read JAH for Jehovah).

“Seek him that makes the seven stars and Orion…
Yahweh is his [authority].” Amos 5:8 (You may have, The Lord)

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his [authority] Yahshua: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21 (You may have JESUS instead of Yahshua)

Once we realize that Yahweh has a personal, lifegiving, healing, covenant Name and only through His Name do we can find salvation, to continue calling on an inanimate, generic title to provide the same blessings that His Name gives, is an affront to Him and His character and what of the enemy of our souls, Mr. Legalist himself, Satan, who is known for demanding his legal rights.

Who said we cannot use the Name Yahweh

I was searching through pictures and information when I came upon this picture, which really ruffled my feathers. Take a look at this:

This is just UGLY! I don’t know who posted this and I really don’t care but is a lie from the pit of Hell. I am a Christian, a follower of Yahshua/Jesus, The Christ and I am searching history and going to find out who really deserves the credit for taking the Name of Yahweh out of the Bible.

The Gentiles, of whom Jesus Christ built His Church (Christians) received Yahweh’s Son and certainly knew the Father through Him. Yahshua did everything to bring GLORY to the Father and would not have told them NOT to us His Father’s Name, Yahweh. No, Christians did not REMOVE the Name Yahweh from our Bible.

Before we go any further, it is good to take a look at what Jeremiah said in Chapter 8. We are to search the Scriptures to find the truth as a Berean and show ourselves well studied and approved. Rest assured, Yahweh will reveal truth to those who seek Him through His Word. Warning: Sacred Cows beware. “How do you say, “We are wise, and Yahweh’s law is with us?”
But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has worked falsely. 9 The wise men are disappointed. They are dismayed and trapped. Behold, they have rejected Yahweh’s word. What kind of wisdom is in them? Jeremiah 8:8-9

It appears our Bibles may have been altered to not only remove the Name of our God Yahweh and His Son
Yahshua, but in other ways as well through translating, transliterating, interpreting and editing done by some folks known as the Masoretes.

So, who were the Masoretes and what is the Masoretic Text?

The oldest copies of the Masoretic Text only date back to the 10th century, nearly 1000 years after the time of Christ. And these texts differ from the originals in many specific ways. The Masoretic text is named after the Masoretes, who were scribes and Torah scholars who worked in the middle-east between the 7th and 11th centuries. The texts they received, and the edits they provided, ensured that the modern Jewish texts would manifest a notable departure from the original Hebrew Scriptures.

Historical research reveals five significant ways in which the Masoretic Text is different from the original Old Testament:

1. The Masoretes admitted that they received corrupted texts to begin with.
2. The Masoretic Text is written with a radically different alphabet than the original.
3. The Masoretes added vowel points which did not exist in the original.
4. The Masoretic Text excluded several books from the Old Testament scriptures.
5. The Masoretic Text includes changes to prophecy and doctrine.

The Masoretic/Massoritic Machinators
The Masoretes/Massorites were amongst those who believed that saying the Name of YHWH/ IEUE is a sin.

They superimposed the man-made law of not ever saying the Name—except perhaps on the Day of Atonement (for undue fear of saying it wrongly)—over the eternal-life-giving command to “call” on the Name regularly, with reverence. In some twisted way they thought if they can’t change the written law (much), then they could at least change the verbal sound of the Hebrew language—by adding a system of vowel points.

Through this means of deception, the Jews pulled off the grand deception when they convinced the translators of the KJV to use the Masoretic Text, instead of the Latin or Greek. Today, the so-called “Christian” world believes in the lie of the Hebrew Bible, even though all Christians for the first four centuries of Christianity universally used the Greek Septuagint or a translation of it, including, the Master Jesus the Anointed and His Ambassadors.

When this so-called controversy is examined from a purely textual point-of-view, then we find that the undisputed facts are the following, and I say ‘undisputed’ because these facts are admitted even by the most staunch supporters of the Masoretic Text.

The Masoretic Text, other than the Dead Sea Scrolls, is the only existing representation of the Old Testament in Hebrew. The oldest fragments date from the 9th century AD, but the oldest complete texts come from the 10th and 11th centuries AD.

However, the Hebrew text it contains is clearly not the original Hebrew, nor even the Hebrew that was in use in the 1st century AD. The Hebrew of the 1st century AD was closely akin to the Greek Septuagint that we have today; this is clear because, although the Hebrew was little used, when it was used in ancient writing it was clearly in agreement with the Greek Septuagint, rather than the Masoretic Text.

In the 1st century, the Christians and all other Greek speaking Israelites, including 1,000,000 of them who lived in Alexandria, Egypt, used the Greek Septuagint. Jesus and His Apostles wrote in Greek and quoted the Greek Septuagint. Of this there can be no doubt. This is a fact that can be confirmed in any encyclopedia or scholarly book on the subject.
Have you ever heard the saying…….

As we have already pointed out, we know this because the quotations of the Greek New Testament are exactly aligned with the Greek Septuagint, but in sharp opposition to the Hebrew Masoretic Text. The Masoretic Text is based upon the Hebrew, which was rejected by the early Christians, who were the true Israel of God.

We are told the following by Jesus in John 8, regarding these same Edomite Jews who wrote the Talmud and created the Masoretic Text:

“You neither know Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, then you would have known My Father also. …Where I go, you are not able to come … You are from below; I am from above. You are from this world, I am not from this world. … If you were children of Abraham, you would do the works of Abraham. … You do the works of your father. … If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I went forth and have come from God. For I have not come from Myself, but that one sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to hear My Word.. You are of your father the Diabolical One, and the lusts of your father you wish to do. That one was a murderer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own, because he is a liar, and the father of it”. John 8

Notice that Jesus said that these Edomite Talmudists were not capable of hearing His Word. They were not capable of doing anything, but the works of their father, who was a liar from the beginning. Now this means that in no way were these Talmudic Jews, who later called themselves Masoretes, capable of being divinely inspired “preservers” of God’s Word and because of the Words of Jesus, we must assume this to be a blatant lie.

But even beyond these points, from a purely objective, scientific point-of-view, when we apply the science of Textual Criticism to this controversy, we must again decide in favor of the Greek Septuagint. We remember that the fundamental rule of Textual Criticism is usually the older the text, the better, and the complete Septuagint version of the Old Testament out dates the complete Masoretic Text version by 650-700 years.

The second rule that we must implement is not all manuscripts are of the same value. Again, this value issue is clear for these two witnesses: the Septuagint is representative of a 3rd century BC Hebrew text; the Masoretic is representative of a 7th-9th century AD revision of the Hebrew.

Thus, there can be no doubt as to which text is to be preferred. The Septuagint is superior in every way to the Judaized Masoretic Text. (V. S. Herrell, The History of the Bible, p. 51-57).
https://www.facebook.com/notes/jordz-genteroy/thesuperiority-of-the-greek-septuagint/ 780089818713793/

Perhaps that is why Jesus and the apostles frequently quoted from the Septuagint, and accorded it full authority, as the inspired Word of God.

Is this your reason of why you don’t need or want to use the Name Yahweh?

“I have had prayers answered using the names ‘God’ and ‘Lord,’ So, it must be okay to use those titles.”

Yahshua said in Matthew 7:9

Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?

Each one who seeks the Truth of Yahweh first does so with a certain lack of understanding. If Yahweh let our ignorance get in the way of our heart’s desire to seek Him, then we would soon become discouraged and give up our quest. After more truth is revealed to us, however, then we become accountable to make the proper changes in our lives and toward True Worship.

“And the times of this ignorance Yahweh winked at; but now commands all men everywhere to repent,” Acts 17:30.

Our true walk must start somewhere, and if calling on
Him through common titles is all we know, then
Yahweh will show compassion and toleration. But as He gives us more knowledge and Truth, He expects us to walk in all the light we are given. Paul wrote,

“For you were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Master: walk as children of light,” Ephesians 5:8.

Yahshua said, “Not every one that says unto me, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi’ shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven,” Mattthew 7:21.

The truth of His Name has been revealed to you and it is now your responsibility to use that knowledge to begin to honor Him by calling on His revealed, personal Name, Yahweh.

Oh magnify Yahweh with me. Let us exalt his name together. .Psalm 34:3

Sing to God! Sing praises to his name! Extol him who rides on the clouds: to Yah, his name! Rejoice before him! Psalm 68:4

“When the sky is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against you; if they pray toward this place, and confess your name, and turn from their sin, when you afflict them: 1 Kings 8:35

He reminds us repeatedly, We, His people. are called by His Name.

If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Lord, hear; Lord, forgive; Lord, listen and do; don’t defer, for your own sake, my God, because your city and your people are called by your name. Daniel 9:19

14 For this cause, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, Ephesians 3:14-15

His Name is central to True Worship.
We cannot say we truly know Him if we don’t know and call on His Name.

Can WE really justify using terms as Lord, God, along with all the generic and descriptive titles in the world today, when we call on the “Creator of All Things”, the ONE Holy, all Powerful, Omniscient, Omnipresent, our Father in Heaven? Should we not address Him with Awe and Reverence by and through His Name, Yahweh Elohim and His Son, by Yahshua the Messiah?

***The language you speak, whatever it maybe, has nothing to do with the Name, of the one you worship, because His Name doesn’t change from language to language.

Consider this. There is no English form for the French name Napoleon and neither is there a German or Russian version for the English name Churchill, just as America is America all over the world in all languages. These “names” remain intact. Specific names transcend language. They are not translated or transliterated.

The Name of the Father in Heaven is Yahweh and His Son’s Name is Yahshua.

I have tried to go back in history, through ancient texts, writings, Scriptures and for a witness in my spirit to the Name of our Father in Heaven, to bring honor to Him and His Son. To my best ability, I stand on Yahweh and Yahshua. There are variations of spellings and people who claim other gods had the Name Yahweh, but who was here first, before all creation, before any beginning, time, people or fake gods – I AM that I AM – YHWH – Yahweh, He was here and His Name carried the meaning, HE IS, HE WAS and HE WILL ALWAYS BE – Yahweh. No other gods or lords came before Him or can carry His Name.

If I am in error, please forgive and feel free to share documents to help make sure I and we are doing things decently, in order and to the Glory of Yahweh God and His Son God Yahshua. I mean no harm, only to bring light and truth regarding my Elohim Yahweh. My heart’s cry is to know, not just His Name, but to know Him.

It is not difficult to see Yahweh’s Name is personal and important to Him and it is important to me as well. It is because of Him, I have a name and so do you. Plus, each of our names carries a special meaning, just like His does. It was Yahweh who began the tradition of giving out a name and He showed the importance of giving someone a Name when He created a man and called him Adam, meaning red earth.

The tradition continued as He watched Adam name the animals:

And the man calleth names to all the cattle, and to fowl of the heavens, and to every beast of the field; and to man hath not been found an helper — as his counterpart. Genesis 2:20 YLT

And He watched as Adam named his wife Eve, that is, life, for she would become the mother of all mankind and the tradition continued through their offspring, down through the ages with names and their meaning identifying who people were. Even today, parents seek for the perfect name for their children and we all struggle with a special, fitting name for our pets and even our cars, trucks, planes and much more. Everything has it’s own identifying name.

In the Old Testament, Yahweh had Isaiah prophesy the coming of our Saviour.
Isa-yah meaning – Yahweh Saves, interesting don’t you think?

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14 Immanuel meaning, God with us

Yahweh in the New Testament, sent an Angel to tell Mary what to NAME His Son.

Lo, the virgin shall conceive, and she shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel,’ which is, being interpreted ‘With us He is God.’ Matthew 1:23 YLT

For behold, you shall conceive and you shall give birth to a son, and you shall call his name Yeshua. Luke 1:31

Yahweh was more than adamant about a Name for His Son Yahshua, Adam, Eve, the animals and us. would you think, His own Name would not be important to Him and Would He not also think it important, for us to know His Name, to know Him? It is wisdom to ponder on these things.

Then those who feared Yahweh spoke one with another;
and Yahweh listened, and heard, and a book of memory was written before him, for those who feared Yahweh, and who honored his name. Malachi 3:16

One more Scripture before I end and this one is extremely important to me.

And in his name shall the Gentiles trust and That’s
Me
My trust is in Yahweh
I think He wrote this Scripture just for me.

It makes a difference which god you call upon and worship – Choose wisely

WHY MY GOD IS YAHWEH – IT’S ABOUT MY NAME – PART 2

WHY MY GOD IS YAHWEH – IT’S ABOUT MY NAME – PART 2

BONNIE NELSON

Hopefully, I intrigued you enough from part one of this article, so at the least, you are experimenting a little bit with rolling the Name Yahweh around in your mouth to find out what it feels like to say the Personal Name of God.

If not, give me another shot… Take a look at the list below and see if one of these statements applies to you and justifies why you don’t think knowing or saying the Real Name of God – Yahweh is important for you.

The Responses

“No one knows His Real Name – It was lost.”

“I know God knows who I mean, no matter what I call Him,”

“God has many Names,”

“No one can pronounce His Name YHWH, because it has no vowels,”

“No one can say His Name, for it is too Holy,”

“When the Bible speaks of God’s Name, it just means His Authority, not His “literal Name,”

“Well, I’m an American, not a Hebrew, so I am going to use the English words of God and Lord.”

“I don’t need to know His Real Name”

“I don’t care what His Name is”

“Hey leave me alone, I have prayed and my prayers were answered using God and Lord. So it must be OK.

“I am uncomfortable at saying the Name Yahweh or Yahshua” “I’m good, this is my way of how I talk to God” “Doesn’t God know who I am talking to?

“What does it matter what I call Him, He answers me anyway.”

“The Bible tells me what Name to use”

“How do you know this is the correct Name?”

I think I want to start with this one: God has many names, as it seems to be the most popular response.  Is that you? Then you are not alone. There are many who use this statement to justify why they don’t want to use the Name Yahweh.

God Has Many Names

God has many names and I’m gonna use the one I like that suits me the best. Sound like you?  Is it good to rationalize the belief since God has tons of names and they all represent and refer to Him and what He does, does it really matter which one we use? Shouldn’t we be able to just pick and choose our favorites.

Doesn’t this kind of thinking imply, none of the names we have stand above the other, so they are all equal? Do you think God will answer to any name you use and there is no one special name, no personal name that is His alone?

The God of many names, is that like saying, He has many names, but really no name? Selah

In looking at all these names for God, there is something revealed and it shoots a hole in the foot of this argument.

All of the names we are using, are what is known as, “generic titles.”

Example:  If I say, “Good Morning, Miss Bonnie Nelson,” Miss is not my Name, it is only my “title.” If I were to go and buy a car, sign a lease or take out a loan at a bank, I would not be able to sign any of the legal documents with only the name, “Miss.” Miss is not my legal name and cannot be used as an authentic signature endorsement on a loan or legal document. The generic title of “Miss” can be used for millions of women, but Bonnie Nelson is my legitimate name.

Think about all the “titles” you know which “describe” God. I bet you can jot down a bunch cause we have all read and studied articles full of names that describe all the things He has done.

There are a lot of people today who don’t understand the difference between a title, which describes, versus a name, which reveals identity. How about the word, “eloah?”  This title means the “Mighty One.”

Another one of my favorites is the title of a song from Amy Grant, El Shaddai. It means the “All Powerful.” Can you catch how these descriptions tell us who He is and Not His Name.  He is the Mighty One and He is All Powerful. Well, who is He?

What about the titles of the attributes of God we use all the time?  Do you use Jehovah Yireh (God Provides) or Jehovah-Zidkenu (Yahweh our Righteousness) and here’s one I have used in the past, JehovahRapha meaning our Healer. Here, He Provides, He is our Righteousness and He is our Healer.  OK. Who is He?

Some say Jehovah, hmmm, what about this name?  Bible translations everywhere use the Name Jehovah for God and so do the Jehovah’s Witnesses.  However, upon some careful study, you will discover, this is Not the Name of our God and NOT the way you pronounce His Name.

First of all, it is impossible to say His Name is Jehovah, because of the fact the Hebrew language has no “J” sound! According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, 1991, under the heading “Yahweh,” here is how this name Jehovah came into being.

The Masoretes, who from about the 6th to the 10th century worked to reproduce the original text of the Hebrew Bible, replaced the vowels of the name YHWH with the vowel signs of the Hebrew word Adonai or Elohim. Thus the artificial name Jehovah (YeHoWaH) came into being.”

Did you catch that? The name Jehovah, is really not His Name at all.  It is another one of the artificial names invented by man.

Again, who are these people who have, not only removed Yahweh’s Name from Scripture over 7,000 times, but totally reconstructed, and implemented an artificial name for Yahweh into our Sacred Bibles.

Check this Out!

Many Hebrew names contain the first part of Yahweh’s Name, which is Yah.

Look at IsaYAH (Hebrew: YeshuaYAH), which means “Yah is Salvation”.

And Jeremi-Yah (Hebrew: YermeYAH)), Obadiah, Zecharaiah and the list goes on and on.

What happens if we apply this technique using the name Jehovah, with the Jeh being used, as the first part of God’s Name.

It doesn’t seem to work when we apply JEH, to the Names of the Prophets. (Somebody Call Houston – We Have A Problem)

Isaiah would be IsaJEH. Does that work for you? His name is Isaiah (IsaYAH).

LOOK at this:  The second part of the name Jehovah is Hovah and this word means RUIN and MISCHIEF in Hebrew, according to Strong’s Concordance #1943: #1943 Hovah, another form for 1942: RUIN:-MISCHIEF.

Would you agree this is not a fitting name to describe our God, the Creator of Life? I think not, besides what did Yahweh say to us?

“I am YAHWEH: that is MY Name: and My Glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images. Isaiah 42:8

He confirms He has but one Name:

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is YAHWEH, art the most high over all the earth. Psalm 83:18

There is no place in the pages of the Bible where you will find a statement saying Yahweh has many names. However, you will find there are passages everywhere which reveal and glorify His one True Name…Yahweh.

**********************************

Are you the one who says, I speak English and not Hebrew? I don’t want to use the Name Yahweh. It’s not for me. I want to use English words.

Really? You really want to use the words God and Lord to describe “your” God?

First off, the words God and Lord are again, titles. God and lord are not personal names. They are common or generic titles and Scripture reveals there are many gods and lords. So, which one do you serve? Who is your god?

For though there are things that are called “gods,” whether in the heavens or on earth; as there are manygods” and many “lords;” I Cor 8:5 WEB

Notice Paul says, there are “things” called gods, and in the next verse he says:

yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him. I Cor 5:6 WEB

Another small issue you might want to consider here is, the word

“God” is Not an English word.  However, upon some digging for the Etymology of the Name God, I did find some interesting information for those who insist on using the word God, instead of Yahweh.

Oddly enough, the exact history of the word God is unknown. Imagine that. All we know for certain is the word God is a relatively new European invention, which was never used in any of the ancient Judaeo-Christian scripture manuscripts, which were written in Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek or Latin.

This situation is quite remarkable, since there is a long history of people arguing and fighting over the name of God, yet we don’t even know where the word came from!

According to the best efforts of linguists and researchers, the most common theory is that the root of the present word God  is the Sanskrit word hu, which means to call upon, invoke, implore.

Nonetheless, it is also interesting to note the strong similarity to the ancient Persian word for God which is Khoda (or Khuda).

The following is a survey of some of the efforts of the linguists who have been trying to decipher the ancient roots of the word God:

Webster’s 1913 Dictionary:

\God\ (g[o^]d), n. [AS. god; akin to OS. & D. god, OHG. got, G. gott, Icel. gu[eth], go[eth], Sw. & Dan. gud, Goth. gup, prob. orig. a p. p. from a root appearing in Skr. h[=u], p. p. h[=u]ta, to call upon, invoke,

implore. [root]30. Cf. {Goodbye}, {Gospel}, {Gossip}.]             http://www.hyperdictionary.com/dictionary/god

I thought it would be interesting to check on the Catholic Church and see what they say about the word God.

Catholic Encyclopedia: Etymology of the Word “God” (Anglo-Saxon God; German Gott; akin to Persian khoda …).

God can variously be defined as:

  • the proper name of the one Supreme and Infinite Personal Being, the Creator and Ruler of the universe, to whom man owes obedience and worship;
  • the common or generic name of the several supposed beings to whom, in polytheistic religions, Divine attributes are ascribed and Divine worship rendered;
  • the name sometimes applied to an idol as the image or dwellingplace of a god.

The root-meaning of the name (from Gothic root gheu; Sanskrit hub or emu, “to invoke or to sacrifice to”) is either “the one invoked” or “the one sacrificed to.”

From different Indo-Germanic roots (div, “to shine” or “give light”; thes in thessasthai “to implore”) come the Indo-Iranian deva, Sanskrit dyaus (gen. divas), Latin deus, Greek theos, Irish and Gaelic dia, all of which are generic names; also Greek Zeus (gen. Dios, Latin Jupiter (jovpater), Old Teutonic Tiu or Tiw (surviving in Tuesday), Latin Janus, Diana, and other proper names of pagan deities.

The common name most widely used in Semitic occurs as ‘el in Hebrew, ‘ilu in Babylonian, ‘ilah in Arabic, etc.; and though scholars are not agreed on the point, the root-meaning most probably is “the strong or mighty one.”

UH OH ….

In the Oxford English Dictionary one root of “god” means to pour as in a molten image.  Does that not fill in the blanks of why idols are known as “gods.”

I am remembering when Moses was on the mountain and the people were melting the gold down to pour and form, a golden calf to be their god. It is worth the time to revisit the Scriptures to catch the flavor of the word god and how it is used:  Exodus 32:1-9 WEB

When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we don’t know what has become of him.”

  • Aaron said to them, “Take off the golden rings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them to me.”

  • All the people took off the golden rings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron. 4 He received what they handed him, and fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made it a molten calf; and they said, “These are your gods, Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egy

  • When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made a proclamation, and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to Yahweh.”

  • They rose up early on the next day, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

  • Yahweh spoke to Moses, “Go, get down; for your people, who you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves!

  • They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molten calf, and have worshiped it, and have sacrificed to it, and said, ‘These are your gods, Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.’”

  • Yahweh said to Moses, “I have seen these people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people. 10 Now therefore leave me alone, that my wrath may burn hot against them, and that I may consume them; and I will make of you a great nation.”

Now, be honest. How are you feeling about the word God?  Does it really represent authority and honor in the way you thought it did? Is this really what you think is His Name?   What do you think He should be called?

What about the word Lord. The word “lord” is someone subordinate to a king. “Lord derives from Old English “hlafweard” meaning “loaf keeper,” a person who headed a feudal estate “under” a king.

Is Not Our God Yahweh, King of the universe? To use the word lord to describe Him would seem to lower & diminish His Name and certainly “dishonor” Him.

In the Brown Driver Briggs Hebrew Lexicon entry for “Baal” we see #01168 Ba’al: The Meaning of Baal is:  “lord”

1) supreme male divinity of the Phoenicians or Canaanites.

The Word Lord is also related etymologically to Bel, a pagan deity. As one source notes, “In late Babylonian times the title Bel, ‘Lord,’ became synonymous with Marduk, who like Ishtar assimilated to himself various aspects of other gods,” Babylon, by Joan Oates, p. 172.

Pardon me?  Lord references to Bel, Marduk, Istar, Zeus, Jupiter and Baal? No wonder Paul said there were many gods and lords.

Look what Yahweh God said to Jeremiah and the people

Jer 23:26-27 – “How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart, who try to make My people forget My name by their

dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My name for Baal.”(LORD)

Consider what Yahweh declared to Hosea:

Hose 2:16 – (KJV) And it shall be at that day, saith Yahweh, that thou shalt call me Ishi (My Husband); and shalt call me no more Baali (My lord). For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

The Hebrew actually reads “ha Ba’al” or “the Lord” in this passage.

Because of the relationship between Baal and Lord, I don’t think I want to use this title for Yahweh, especially since now I know the word Lord is the one most used to replace Yahweh’s name.

Notice that Baal’s name has not been changed or translated in the Scriptures or old writings and therefore lives on. Oh but Yahweh’s Name, it got messed up big time and thrown out of the Scriptures and old writings and don’t forget, Yahweh’s Son’s Name, it got transliterated and removed as well, all the way down from Yahshua to Jesus.

Did you know, the word Satan is a Hebrew Word too and no one ever changed it in our Bibles, but the Name Yahweh was removed and other names substituted 7,000 times.

Could it be Yahweh has finally said, “ENOUGH!” The Pressure Cooker Lid has popped and the revelation is flowing to those who will hear Yahweh from the mountain top.

My Name shall be revealed to those who want to know Me and they shall be given My Name and use My Name and Call upon My Name and I shall hear them and I shall be there God and they shall be My People.

I certainly don’t want you to think I am saying the whole congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is worshiping and calling on Ba’al (Lord) instead of YAHWEH, but I do know one being, the one still called and known by the name of Satan, who is having a great time watching all of this with a smile on his face.   Selah!

I looked to Isaiah 46 and now the Scriptures come alive as they talk about the god Bel

The Companion Bible note on Isaiah 46 says “Bel”

Bel bows down.

Nebo stoops.

Their idols are carried by animals,  and on the livestock.

The things that you carried around are heavy loads,   a burden for the weary.

  • They stoop and they bow down together.

They could not deliver the burden,     but they have gone into captivity.

  • “Listen to me, house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, that have been carried from their birth,

that have been carried from the womb. 4 Even to old age I am he,     and even to gray hairs I will carry you.

I have made, and I will bear.

Yes, I will carry, and will deliver.

5 “To whom will you liken me, and consider my equal,     and compare me, that we may be equal? 6 Some pour out gold from the bag,     and weigh silver in the balance.

They hire a goldsmith,     and he makes it a god.

They fall down—

    yes, they worship.

7 They bear it on their shoulder.

They carry it, and set it in its place, and it stands there.

It cannot move from its place.

Yes, one may cry to it, yet it can not answer.     It cannot save him out of his trouble. 8 “Remember this, and show yourselves men.     Bring it to mind again, you transgressors.

9 Remember the former things of old:     for I am God (Yahweh), and there is no other.

I am God (Yahweh), and there is none like me. 10 I declare the end from the beginning,     and from ancient times things that are not yet done.

I say: My counsel will stand,     and I will do all that I please. 11 I call a ravenous bird from the east,     the man of my counsel from a far country.

Yes, I have spoken.

I will also bring it to pass.

I have planned.

I will also do it.

  • Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted, who are far from righteousness!
  • I bring my righteousness near.

It is not far off,     and my salvation will not wait.

I will grant salvation to Zion,     my glory to Israel.

Prayerfully consider what Name you decide to call your Father

If it is not His Name we call out, will He answer?

“I am Yahweh. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images. Isaiah 42:8

WHY MY GOD IS YAHWEH – IT’S ABOUT HIS NAME – PART 1

Why My God Is Yahweh – It’s About His Name – Part 1

Bonnie Nelson

This last week in the forum, I asked everyone this question?

Do you know God’s Name?

I received a lot of responses and most of them were “different.” Their answers seem to reveal God has many names.  Everyone shared “The Name” they use for Him, but is it His “Name,” or is it only a title? The question arises, “Is it important for us to know God’s Real Name?”  Yes, No, Maybe?

What is your opinion and would you be willing to help me expose some sacred cows?  I ask you to take another look at the “Name” you use when you address Our Heavenly Father and consider if it is a sacred cow. Is it a name past down to you through man’s traditions and doctrines, or is it the Name He commands us to use?

According to Scripture, The Father seems to be pretty adamant about His Name.

He thunders:  “I AM YAHWEH: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images,” Isaiah 42:8

A Name

One of the first things that happens when you meet someone new and want to “know” them is, you ask them, “What is your name,” and when they respond you tell them your name, “My name is Bonnie.” The salutation usually follows with, “It’s Nice to know you.”

I don’t know about you, but I have never challenged a person or argued with them when they shared their name. I understand, it is their name and once I “know their name,” it is generally accepted, you can say you know them.

I remember working a job a few years ago and one of my co-workers came up to me and said, “I am trying to think of a name for you.” She was searching to give me a “nickname” she liked. It ruffled my feathers a bit and I said, (in a nice way), my name is Bonnie and that works for me.  I don’t want a nickname. I didn’t say it, but I was thinking, “Who are you to change my name with something you want?”  Would that ruffle your feathers? No? Yes?

Well how about this?  God, the Father put His Name in the Bible nearly 7,000 times, but because of tradition, that same holy and precious Name of the Heavenly Father was removed from His own Book.

Get this. He puts His Name in the scriptures nearly 7,000 times and

7,000 times bible translators substituted it with a generic title, such as “LORD” or “GOD.”  In fact, His Name, is the 7th most commonly used word in the Hebrew scriptures. Any ruffling yet?

In the Dead Sea Scrolls, dating back over 2000 years, the Name “Yahweh” is found over 2200 times, but since these are ancient texts, no one has dared tried to edit His Name out – yet.

I just don’t get it.  I have a couple books I have written and my name is right on that front cover for everyone to see, but here is Yahweh God and He writes this book for us and people decided to remove, the Name of the Author, the God of All Creation, Yahweh, 7,000 times.

Why Remove The Name?   What’s so Special About A Name?

This is what is believed to be God’s Real Name

YHWH – YAHWEH

The Word “Name” not only means, “character and reputation,” but it is also the literal written and spoken name. This definition of the Hebrew word, “shem,” is translated as “name” all throughout scripture. You have probably heard some Jewish people say “Ha Shem,” meaning, The Name.

In Strong’s #8034 Shem; a primitive word {perhaps rather from 7760 through the idea of definite and conspicuous position; compare 8064; an appelation, AS A MARK or memorial of individuality; by implication honor, authority, character: -+[in-]fame[-ous], name[-d], renown, report.

As you can see Yahweh’s name not only represents His character, but the Name Yahweh is also HIS MARK! What is a mark but something that is written? The Name YAHWEH also is His memorial of individuality. This definition goes hand in hand with scripture:

Exodus 3:15 (KJV) And Elohim said moreover to Moses, Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel, YAHWEH Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, hath sent me to you: this [is] my name for ever, and this [is] my memorial to all generations.

Did you catch that?

This is My Name Forever, and this is My Memorial to All generations.

We have a lot of memorials in the United States such as, “The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier” or “The Wall.”  What if someone went up and tried to destroy one of these memorials? Can you imagine the  the outcry, the social media flood, the internet buzz and the demand for punishment we would see and hear come forth?  In good conscience, none of us would even think about desecrating one of these memorials. Well?  Why then would anyone want to desecrate Yahweh’s Memorial, His Name?

Who has the right to remove or change His name to whatever they want to call Him?

Why do we have “The LORD” or “GOD” and all these titles in our bibles rather than Yahweh?

It all began with a Jewish tradition called the “ineffable name” doctrine. Jews, for various reasons, started to substitute His name with the Hebrew title, “Adonai“. Adonai is the Hebrew word for “Lord.” This information can be easily verified in many Bible dictionaries and various encyclopedias and in the preface of many modern bibles.  Look here:   http://www.eliyah.com/ compref.html

The Encyclopedia Britannica states:

Yahweh, the God of the Israelites, His name being revealed to Moses as four Hebrew CONSONANTS (YHWH) CALLED THE

TETRAGRAMMATON. AFTER THE EXILE (6TH CENTURY BC), and

especially from the 3rd century BC on, Jews ceased to use the name Yahweh for two reasons.

As Judaism became a universal religion through its proselytizing in the Greco-Roman world, the more common noun elohim, meaning “god,” tended to replace Yahweh to demonstrate the universal sovereignty of Israel’s God over all others.

Interesting this name, elohim (sometimes El or Elah), English form “God,”  the first of the three primary names of Deity, is a uni-plural noun formed from El = strength, or the strong one, and Alah, to swear, to bind oneself by an oath, so implying faithfulness.

The name Elohim is unique to Hebraic thinking; it occurs only in Hebrew and in no other ancient Semitic language. The masculinen plural ending does not mean “gods” when referring to the true God of Israel, since the name is mainly used with singular verb forms and with adjectives and pronouns in the singular (e.g., see Gen. 1:26). However, considering the Trinity, the form indeed allows for the plurality within the Godhead.

In the traditional Jewish view, Elohim is the Name of God as the Creator and Judge of the universe (Gen 1:1-2:4a). “The Holy One, Blessed be He, said to those, You want to know my name? I am called according to my actions. When I judge the creatures I am Elohim, and when I have mercy with My Words, I am YHVH (Ex R. 3:6). The Name YHVH (from the semitic root that means “to be”) and expresses the idea of God’s closeness to humans. YHVH “breathed into his (Adam’s) nostrils the breath of life” (Genesis 2:7).

At the same time, the divine name was increasingly regarded as too sacred to be uttered; it was thus, replaced vocally, in the synagogue ritual by the Hebrew word Adonai (“My Lord”), which was translated as Kyrios (“Lord”)

in the Septuagint, the Greek version of the Old Testament. So, the Jews started to vocally replace the name “Yahweh” with “Adonai” (Lord) for two reasons:

  1. It was beginning to be believed that His name was too sacred to be uttered

  1. They preferred to simply call Him “Elohim” rather than “Yahweh” to demonstrate to the world that He is the only true Elohim.

While on the surface these reasons may seem honorable, they are not scriptural. If Yahweh really wanted a substitute, why would He have placed His name there to begin with?

This tradition was not practiced by the Messiah or the apostles, but it was adopted by some Christians  during the early half of the 2nd Century CE/AD.

By the 4th century, this practice was well established and widely practiced.

Jerome, a 4th century “Church Father” who authored the Latin Vulgate version, substituted the name “Yahweh” throughout with the Latin word “Dominus (meaning “Lord”).

The tradition of replacing Yahweh’s name with “the LORD” continues to this day. Most English translations substitute the name Yahweh with “the LORD” and translations into other languages will also commonly choose a title meaning “Lord” in their own language.

I am so grieved in my spirit over this. I have wept over the depth of what has happened. To have your name stripped away, is to remove everything of who you are and what “you” have done. The Yahweh Name has been removed from the praises and worship of our lips and so much has been stolen from Him and from us relationally. We sing and bow our knees and cry out for help to a common title shared by many lords and many gods and not in the Name of The Person Yahweh, who is the Creator of All. How this must grieve Him. Do you think God cannot be grieved?  Yahweh was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart. WEB\Gen 6:6

Some versions actually say, it broke His Heart, all the evil things man was doing. I can’t imagine how He feels or how He yearns to hear His sons and daughters call out His Name. How sad many will never say or call out His Name, because they don’t know it. The reality is, there will be many who will never know, see, or hear The Name Yahweh spoken, unless we loose it. Surely the Heart of Yahweh grieves over never hearing His People call out His Personal Name.

Yahweh is not the only one in the God family where the Jews tried to remove His Name. The Name of Yahshua (Jesus) was removed in a similar way in the text and the Jews took it to another level as they wanted to crucify Him, burn Him and everything associated with Him, so He and His Name would be wiped out from all eternity.

But Lo, Yahweh did not let them succeed in their plan to destroy the memory of His Son Yahshua and He is raising up His Remnant who will know Him and use His Name and love the sound of it in their mouth and it shall come forth like a mighty rushing wind and rivers of living water shall flow from Him to those who are His and they shall rise up with His Name as a mighty sword and this sword shall cut off the head of the enemy and many shall be saved and the praise shall raise hearts and spirits of those who have been tossed by the wayside and they shall rise up and take their place in the Army of the Lord and the Intercessors shall bring forth the heart of Yahweh and the Church shall hear and begin to birth power in their prayers to bring forth deliverance for the captives and healing for the sick and the Name Yahweh shall flow from the highest of the mountains to the lowest of the valleys and all shall know Him and that He Was and Is and Will always Be Yahweh and that there is no other god before Him.  He is truth, He is life, He is love, He is the Great I AM that I AM and His People shall bow their knees to no other.  And ALL shall know – Yahweh Is Great and Yahweh is Good, Very Good!  Yahweh our All in All, Yahweh our Provider, Yahweh our Comforter,

Yahweh our Father, Yahweh our Deliverer, Yahweh our Healer, Yahweh our Banner, Yahweh our Savior, Yahweh our Shepherd, Yahweh our Righteousness and so much more.

The Name Yahweh will no longer be silent in my house.

What about yours?

Have you already chosen your personal sacred “name” for the Father? Are you ready to argue and say you don’t have to use His Real Name, and then jump through hoops to try and “justify” continuing to use “common titles,” instead of the Name, which the Bible says is, the Name above all Names.

Question?  Is the name you call God, the Name above all names, or is it just a common law word used to describe many gods, elohim’s and lords, too?

I just read this comment:  God appreciates any effort made to use His name (even though it will be different in other languages) especially in personal prayer to him. After all God is a title, like King or President, thus it’s impersonal.

Thought:  My Name in Spanish is Bonita and in English it is Bonita. Baal’s name is the same in English as Hebrew and Satan didn’t seem to have a problem with the translators keeping his name intact either.  It is when you substitute and transliterate names through languages they are changed.

Names don’t have to be changed.  America, all over the world is, America.  Don’t buy this.

Question: Aren’t we suppose to seek a personal relationship with Yahweh God and know Him?

12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. John 1:12-13 NLT

My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children. Hosea 4:6 NLT

Check List:

See if one of these is your response to why you would not want to use the Real Name of God?

It is my prayer all of these questions are going to be answered through this series by the very Spirit of the Father, who will come and overshadow you with the revelation of who He is and then, you will know how important it is to know and use His Name, Yahweh, The Name Above All Names.

There is one more important issue to address in this post:

The Third Commandment

“Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the

LORD will not hold [him] guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” KJV

I am not sure about you, but I have always thought, this Scripture was talking about not using the Name of the Father along side a “cuss or swear” word, or any type of profanity. Some people think when someone is living in sin and continues to use the Name of the Lord, is another way of taking His Name in vain.

But for me, in checking out the definition of the word vain and thinking about people who replaced and continue to replace Yahweh’s Name, with a title of their own choosing, such as LORD, GOD, Adonai or whatever, this could also be deemed as a form of taking the Name of the Lord in vain.

How can I say that?

First, I had to go and take another look at the Third Commandment.

“Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the

LORD will not hold [him] guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” Deut 5:11 KJV

When I went back to examine early texts in the Hebrew, I found out the translation of this verse is different. The original text is not written with the words “The LORD” or any other word that carries such a meaning.  What is actually there is the Father’s Real Name, Yahweh.

In the New Jerusalem Bible this is what is written:

You must not misuse the name of Yahweh your God, for Yahweh will not leave unpunished anyone who uses his name for what is false  Deut 5:11

NJB

It is important to be a Berean today and search out the Scriptures, so we are not caught up in any traditions, which are not of Yahweh and can inflict damage to our relationship and walk with him.

I assumed (dangerous), I knew the definition of the word “vain.” However, I missed the depth of it.

vain 1. Having no real substance, value, or importance; empty; void; worthless; unsatisfying. “Thy vain excuse.” … 2. Destitute of forge or efficacy; effecting no purpose; fruitless; ineffectual; as, vain toil; a vain attempt. …

There is a way, in which we can bring Yahweh’s Name to emptiness, worthlessness and make it have no real substance, which causes it to be void and have no value or purpose and there is no greater way to do this, than to remove His Name altogether from Scripture 7,000 times and substitute it with a descriptive word or title of our own choosing.  We make it “vain” by totally removing it from the Bible, our spirit and our soul, our lives and all of our families and friends.

We loose the communication skills to share who Yahweh is. Today we see this, as many proclaim there is only one god over all.  The Scriptures don’t say that, they say there are many gods. Which one do you serve? The sea of humanity, the world, is ignorant of the scriptures and since we don’t share the Name of our God being Yahweh, how can they know which god we belong to. It’s been confusing for me to find the “Name” of my God,  much less someone who has never gone to church or been exposed to a Bible Study, but then if they come, which god are we preaching about.  How do they know, but more important, how can you tell them who your god is, if you don’t even know His Name?

This tradition of removing the Name of the Father, His personal Name has gone far enough.  In 99% of all the translations of the Bible today, His Name has been replaced. Feathers ruffling yet?

In fact, in most translations, the third commandment (as it is written) is a transgression of itself! Why? Because the third commandment forbids bringing His Name to nothing, yet most translations do just that.

Looking to the Hebrew word vain in Scripture:

Deuteronomy 5:11 (KJV) Thou shalt not take the name of Yahweh thy Elohim in vain <7723>: for Yahweh will not hold [him] guiltless that taketh his name in vain <7723>.

The number after the word “vain” in this passage refers to Strong’s word #7723 in the Hebrew Lexicon. This same Hebrew word (#7723 ‘Shav’) can also be found in another commandment just a few verses later. But in this instance, it is translated differently:

Deuteronomy 5:20 (KJV) Neither shalt thou bear false <7723> witness against thy neighbour.

This is the same Hebrew word <7723> translated “false.”

The Hebrew behind that commandment also says “bring to deso-lation and ruin,” which is exactly what will happen if you substitute other names and titles for the one true Name.

Might this shed light on the third commandment as well? Now we should know, to say the name of the Heavenly Father is “The LORD,” is actually a false statement.

Most translations are full of false statements. For instance, the King James Version reads:

Isaiah 42:8 – I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

The above is not a true statement. His name is not “the LORD”. His name is:

Yahweh

“The LORD” is not a translation of the original, it is a substitution of the original. The translators did not translate, they purposely substituted the true name of the Heavenly Father for something else so that they could follow their tradition. It should instead read:

Isaiah 42:8 (RNKJV) I am Yahweh: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

If we are seeking to keep the Ten Commandments, we should never

“replace” Yahweh’s Name with a “false name” or title of our own choosing.  Would that not be breaking the third commandment? Surely we are not trying to get legalistic, but we are trying to get as close to Yahweh God as we can. Taking His Name and the Power and the Authority which it carries, out of His Word, His Book and our Lives, is breaking more than just this commandment.

People are taking away from the scriptures and adding to the scripture, is that not something we are cautioned not to do?

18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Rev 22:18-19

These are two of the very last Scriptures written in the Book of Revelation, do they not bring some sort of Reverential Fear of Yahweh? He calls for us to use “His Name” and instead of using it, it has been replaced with Vanity…..as people pick and choose what name they decide is good for them and us.

How about Mal 2:1-2

And now, O ye priests [through the Messiah, this is US!], this commandment is for you. {2} If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith YHWH of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. (Mal 2:1-2 TFV)

Again in Exodus 20:7

You shalt not misuse the name of Yahweh your God,  for Yahweh will not leave unpunished anyone who misuses his name . NJV

Notice the subtle differences here, which we have grown accustomed to and give little thought.

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

The Name above All Names is Yahweh, He is God.

In I Tim 1:4 it mentions fables:

3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, 4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

Fables are Jewish traditions created by men that are not in the TaNaKH. (The 5 books of Moses)

(Deut 12:32 KJV)  What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it

His Name is central to True Worship and who we are. We cannot say we truly know Him, if we don’t know and call on His Name.

Yahweh is resolute about His Name. He is adamant that His people call on Him by the only Name that ensures salvation.

Psalm 83:18 confirms that He has but one Name:

“That men may know that thou, whose name alone is YAHWEH, art the most high over all the earth.”

Nowhere in the pages of the Bible will you find a statement saying He has many names. But we can find many passages attesting to His one true Name.

Now set your heart and your soul to seek after Yahweh your God. Arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of Yahweh God, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of Yahweh.” I Chron 22:19

The Anointing & Mantles – Part 1

Hello Firestorm:

In the prophetic training and equipping classes we have been looking at the Mantle and the Anointing of the Prophet. There is quite a stir going around regarding this subject and it is my prayer to bring clarity regarding the anointing and the mantle through “what is written,” beginning with James 1:17.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

So, it is written, every perfect gift given to us is from above and from our Father God, Yahweh. He is the one who gives gifts, talents, mantles, the anointing and every other good thing. They all come from Him. He is more than able to decide what goes to who, when, where and how. He is Yahweh and All things are Created by Him. Keep this in mind.

As we began to study the “Office of the Prophet” and focus on the Mantle and the Anointing, this Word came forth:

******************************************

I AM moving you into a new season where you will begin to learn more about Me instead of My enemies. Though you think you know what I have called you into, there are many things, yet to be learned for you to fulfill the dream I have regarding your destiny.

No one else will be able to tell you all of the things I desire for you, so seek Me while I may be found. Come and settle yourself before Me without the distractions of the world. As you enter into My Presence, I will show you of what is rapidly coming into fruition and in a little while, you will see and feel a shift. Watch for Me, for Great change is coming, with new growth causing your tent pegs to be stretched toward the East.

*********************************

Are you ready to have your tent pegs stretched? OK then, let’s do it!

The very first mention of the word anointing from the Old Testament days came from Shepherds taking care of their sheep. They would pour oil on the head of the sheep making it slippery, to ward off lice, flies and insects to keep them from burrowing into their nose and ears, driving them crazy and killing them. When the insects tried to get near the ears, they would slide off, because of the oil and not harm the sheep. Thus, the oil became symbolic for a blessing and protection.

The first Recorded Act of Anointing in the Bible is from Jacob in Genesis 28:18 and Genesis 31:13 God responds.

Notice in Genesis 31:13
Yahweh speaks with Jacob, acknowledges his vow and tells him what He wants him to do.

In Bible times, people were anointed with oil to signify God’s blessing or call on that person’s life (Exodus 29:7; Exodus 40:9; 2 Kings 9:6; Ecclesiastes 9:8; James 5:14).

In the New Testament there are two Greek words for “anoint,” one is chrio, which means to “smear or rub with oil” and by implication, “to consecrate for office or religious service.” The other word is aleipho, which means “to anoint.”

In the Hebrew, the word for anoint is “masah,” meaning to smear or rub with oil or perfume for either private or religious purposes. This word also has secular meanings as to rubbing a shield with oil (Isa 21:5), smearing paint on a house (Jer 22:14), and/or anointing a body with oil (Am 6:6). The theological meaning of masah is fourfold. First, an individual or object set apart for divine use is said to be “anointed.”

It is interesting to read about Samuel when he anointed Saul King. Pay close attention to why Samuel anointed Saul. 1 Samuel 9:15-17

15 Now the day before Saul came, the Lord had revealed this to Samuel: 16 “About this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him ruler over my people Israel; he will deliver them from the hand of the Philistines. I have looked on my people, for their cry has reached me.” 17 When Samuel caught sight of Saul, the Lord said to him, “This is the man I spoke to you about; he will govern my people.”

Who told Samuel to anoint Saul as King? Yahweh did! Samuel did not do this because of his anointing, wisdom or desire for Saul to be King. God told him what to do and to whom.

Solomon was made the anointed ruler over Israel by his father David (I Ch 29:22), this anointing made him both responsible for and accountable to the people. Did David pick Solomon to rule over Israel? Who told David his younger son, Solomon was to be made ruler over Israel?   I Chronicles 22:6-9

6 Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for the Lord God of Israel. 7 And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God: 8 But the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. 9 Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.

Who told David to give his son Solomon the position, the mantle of the king, it was again, Yahweh.

There is a very strong theme running through all of this. It is Yahweh who is in Charge. He is the one who anoints and appoints and empowers and blesses. He determines who is anointed as a king, sets leaders in place and removes them – as He wills. Daniel 2:20-21

20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: 21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

He calls and sends the prophets to go and do what He wants. No man, no apostle, no prophet, no priest does this. No one can buy an anointing from Yahweh and then sell it or give it away. It is Yahweh who is the giver of all the gifts, talents, kingdoms, ministries, mantles, and anointings. He is the “Anointing.” His Presence is “The Anointing.”

Another definition or meaning for the word anointed is “chosen one.” The literal translation of the Hebrew word mashiach (messiah) is “anointed.” The Bible says that Jesus Christ our Messiah (Yahshua Ha Mashiach) was anointed by God with the Holy Ghost to spread the Good News and free those who have been held captive by sin. Luke 4:18-19

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19) To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”

Again who is doing the anointing – It is Yahweh. Look in Acts 10:38: How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

The anointing of the Holy Ghost is given to people, so He can move through them to demonstrate God’s love, light and power to those now living in a very dark world.

Christ means the “Anointed One” and because He is in us, (think on this), the same anointing He had on earth, we also have. We have Christ in us and the Anointing, which was upon Him as well. Notice the Spirit was also “UPON HIM,” not only does the anointing reside in you, when you receive Christ, but also it comes upon you.

What does this Anointing in us and on us do? Luke 4:18-19

The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me

To preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind,

To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

19) To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”

What is the anointing for? Here are just a few of the things listed in the Bible.

1. The anointing is given to preach the Gospel to the poor (Luke 4:18-19).

2. The anointing is given to heal and restore people. Acts 10:36-38

3. The anointing is given to proclaim freedom to the captives (2 Timothy 2:24-26

4. The anointing is given to open blind eyes (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

5. The anointing is given to set people free (Isaiah 10:27)

6. The anointing flows in God’s timing and proclaims God’s timing (Eph 2:10/John 8:28-29)

7. The anointing is given to discern truth (I John 2:27)

8. To Testify to the truth (I John 5:6)

9. To be able to pray (Romans 8:39)

10. To live a righteous life (Romans 8:4)

11. To be strengthened with power in our inner being (Eph 3:16)

12. To live in joy (Romans 14:17)

13. To live in hope (Romans 15:13)

14. To receive Spiritual Gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4; 12:7)

15. To bear Spiritual Fruit (Galatians 5:22-23)

16. To be led by Yahweh (Romans 8:9)

How does this happen? It happens when you accept Jesus Christ/Yahshua, He comes to dwell in you. So you are in Christ and He is in You. Again, He is in you and You are in Him. Did you get that? Everything He was anointed to do, is now in YOU, to enable you to do your calling and fulfill your destiny IN CHRIST, with CHRIST! We are “co-laborers,” working with Christ. I Corinthians 3:9

For we labor with God and you are the crop and the building of God. (Aramaic Bible)

For we are partners working together for God, and you are God’s field. You are also God’s building. (God’s News Translation)

You are a Born Again, new creation on this earth, created to move in love, wisdom and the Power of the Jesus,The Christ. Through Him you are anointed to preach heal, restore, set captives free, open blind eyes, set people free and more.

Then, when you are baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost, you are endued with an additional dose of power and boldness to move in whatever you need to move in.

I know because of what is written…..Acts 4:31

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

There are those who would try to steal the Words of Yahweh and your understanding of the Anointing (the one) who resides in you and upon you.

Paul and Silas knew who and what was in them when Paul said, Silver and gold have I none; but WHO I have give I you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

In 1 John 2:26-27 It is written: 26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. 27) But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. 28) And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.

Use that Prophetic Gift to look deep into this next Scripture, for it is life giving and changing. John 14:16-21

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. (Who is this who comes to you?)

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Who is the truth?

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6

Who is it who Anoints, Calls, Empowers, Sends, Plants, Removes and gives out Mantles and ALL GOOD GIFTS? The same one, who Loves us so deeply that – He sacrificed His Son for us! His Name is Yahweh!

Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee” (2 Corinthians 1:21-22)

Who has anointed us? It is Yahweh. He anointed us when we reached out to Him to come and be with us and then, He made the way for us to be equipped for every good work, to resist evil, to know the truth, to preach the Word, to enter and worship and be able to pray, but the most important thing of all, is to have fellowship restored with Him and be reunited soon, in His Heavenly Spiritual Family. 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who [a]sleep in Jesus.15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are [b]asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 (Eternal Life)

He made the way for us to have all of this and more through Christ, to live and give life to others. Hallelujah!!!! Now ALL Christians are anointed, chosen for a specific purpose in furthering God’s Kingdom. How do I know that? Because it is written in I John 2:20-25.

20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you[e] know all things. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also 24 Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that He has promised us—

Eternal life – 1 Thess 4:17

Thank You Yahweh!!!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YAHSHUA/JESUS SEPTEMBER 11

Celebrating

The Birthday Of Yahshua/Jesus
September 11

Happy Birthday

Yahshua Ha Mashiach
(The Anointed One)
Our Messiah

Photo: Becca Card

Hello Firestorm:

Satan is a robber, a destroyer and a murderer and he perverts every good thing he can. September 11th became a horrible memory in our American history when the Twin Towers were attacked. Did you ever wonder why our enemies picked that date? Maybe it is because many believe September 11th is the “real” date for the birth of Christ. How about the number 13 why is it such a dreaded superstitious number?

The Jews believe 13 represents the love of our Father God
How do you feel about that?

Of course, in America many are scared of anything regarding 13. Superstitious beliefs are so strong hotels leave the number 13 off their floors, office buildings, elevators and such. People say 13 is the number for Satan along with 666. My thoughts are….Satan hasn’t created anything and nothing belongs to him, in the Name of Yahshua. Yahweh is the Creator God of Everything. Hallelujah!

If 13 is the love of our Father, then 13 is my number!

The first Scripture I learned was Hosea 4:6 – My People Perish for a Lack of Knowledge. Today it is the foundation of who I am in Christ. I am a research intercessor, I want to know the truth about everything concerning Yahweh and Yahshua. And when you are hungry to know Him, He will reveal Himself to you, when you seek Him with all your heart. Information is key to understanding Yahweh and moving into an intimate relationship with Him. You have to “prophetically” dig deep to find spiritual treasure. The number 13 is spiritual treasure.

Have you ever thought about the number 13 in the Bible? Are you afraid to open up your Bible to I Corinthinans 13:13, where the number 13 is twice listed and guess what? This Scripture is known as the love chapter. God is love and has demonstrated that love in everything He does. Paul compares faith, hope, and love, and concludes that “the greatest of these is love.” God is LOVE!

The spiritual significance of the number thirteen (13), by the Jews is reflected by the thirteen attributes of Mercy. Check this out.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirteen_Attributes_of_Mercy

The Hebrew word ahava (love) also has a numerical value of thirteen, as expressed verbally in the Nazarean Codicil. And in I John 4:8

1 Yochanan (John) 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not HaShem; for HaShem is love.

So, the number 13 again, is the number of our Father. HaShem is the name the Jews use for Yahweh God – who is “Love.” HaShem means “The Name,” too holy to be spoken. The Name of God, who is LOVE.

What about Christ’s Birthday? Who was really born on Dec 25th?

Now before everyone gets tense, I understand December 25th is the date we were given to “celebrate” the birthday of Christ. All over the world, this is the most popular warm and fuzzy feeling commercial holiday ever to exist and I am blessed President Trump said, Americans are allowed to say, “Merry Christ-mas and celebrate the birth of Yahshua/Jesus. Praise Yahweh! I am not trying to take Christmas away, just let you know how the enemy of our souls works and reveal a personal/intimate detail about Christ to you.

It is good to dig deep and learn things about truth. Jesus said I am the truth the light and the way. The more we learn about Him, the more truth He will reveal. Remember when no one knew the “real” Jewish names of God and Jesus, a few years ago? Yahweh asked me if I knew His Name, at that point I figured I didn’t. So I went deep sea diving to “see” what He was trying to tell me. What a journey and I did learn His Name. When I tried to share it, I had to ducked a few rocks, but look today. He evidently didn’t only ask me if I knew His Name, because the revelation exploded with everyone wanting to know His True Jewish Name. Intimacy starts when someone asks you what your name is and you tell them.

Though Yahweh’s Name was written almost 6,823 times in the Bible, the scribes changed it out for descriptions such as; God, Adonai, LORD and etc. The Bible says there are many gods and in the world today, it is good to know the Name of our God – He is not Budda or Allah or any of those, His Name is Yahweh. I know His Name. Thank You Father.

Do you want to know who was really born on December 25th? I would suggest a search of a man/god named “Tammuz” in the Bible. He is mentioned in Ezekiel Chapter 8.

Snapshot: Dumuzid, later known by the alternate form Tammuz, is an ancient Mesopotamian god associated with shepherds.Cronus is an alias for Tammuz. Tammuz was Nimrod reborn – alias, his son. His wife and mother was Rhea (Semiramis). Egyptian and Babylonian antiquities recognize his mother as Semiramis, and his birthday is celebrated on 25th December.

About the real Birthday of Christ
September 11

According to a growing body of evidence assembled in a new book about biblical sabbatical years, September 11 is the real date Jesus was born, in the year 3 B.C.

Joseph Dumond, author of “Remembering the Sabbatical Years of 2016, 2023, 2030, 2037, 2044,” makes the case for the birth date based on astronomical charts, clues provided in the Book of Revelation and the fact that the date on the Hebrew calendar translated into the Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot – a holy day often associated with Jesus’ birth and return in the Second Coming.

“It was on this day Yeshua was born on Sept. 11, 3 B.C., and it will be on this day He will come again to begin the judgment of the rest of mankind,” Dumond writes.

So what exactly is the evidence?

Dumond first cites Revelation 12:1-5, a passage that seems to be about Jesus’ birth: “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.”

Was that story actually told in the stars on the day of the birth? That’s what Dumond suggests. The constellation Virgo (or virgin) is the only astrological sign associated with a woman, he says. For a period of only a few hours on Sept. 11, 3 B.C., Virgo could be seen near Leo, representing “the lion of Judah,” with the sun clothing the woman and 12 visible stars surrounding Virgo’s “head.”

In his own words: “The key to the very day of Jesus’ birth is the words ‘and the moon under her feet.’ The word ‘under’ signifies that the woman’s feet were positioned just over the moon. Since the feet of Virgo represent the last 7 degrees of the constellation (in the time of Christ this would have been between about 180 degrees and 187 degrees along the elyptic), the moon has to be positioned somewhere under the 7 degree arc.

But the moon also has to be in that exact location when the sun is mid-bodied to Virgo. In the year 3 B.C., these two factors came to precise agreement for less than two hours, as observed from Palestine, on Sept. 11th. The precise arrangement began about 6:15 p.m. (sunset), and lasted until 7:45 p.m. (moonset).

This is the only day in the whole year that this could have taken place.”

The possible connection between the biblical fall feasts and the return of Jesus is hardly a new teaching or unique discovery. Many Bible scholars have made the link in the past – observing that Jesus fulfilled the spring feasts on His first coming and will likely fulfill the fall feasts on His second coming.

It’s amazing to think about it, but the essentials of the Gospel story do appear to have been told in the sky through the stars, sun, moon and planets from the day of creation – not just for the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob but for the entire human race to see.

Others have made that point. But what’s new in Dumond’s approach is the Sept. 11 date on the Julian calendar, possibly because until 12 years ago the date had no significance to Americans and Christians around the world.

I’m not sure God cares much about the pagan calendar used so widely in the world today. I do know He established His own calendar and still keeps His divine appointments with us according to what we call the Hebrew calendar.

Yet, I can’t shake the idea that Sept. 11 has some transcendent significance because God chose that day to issue a severe warning or “Harbinger,” as best – selling author Jonathan Cahn calls it – to a nation that was once consecrated to Him, just as ancient Israel was.

Study Thoughts:

It also reaffirms my idea that a National Day of Prayer & Repentance on
9/11 is the auspicious response we should have to what we have considered an inauspicious date.

Sept. 11, 2019, is right around the corner. Let me urge you to ready yourself for that date with the following resources:

The book “The Harbinger” and the movie “The Isaiah 9-10 Judgment” are essential tools for learning more about the connection between 9/11 and the judgment befalling America today.

“The Feasts of the Lord,” a multi-part teaching video collection produced by WND Films in partnership with Koinoia House and Hebrew roots Pastor Mark Blitz.

“The 9/11 Prophecy” by James Fitzgerald, a book which serves as a “prequel” to Jonathan Cahn’s critical teaching about Isaiah 9:10 and its striking parallels seen in the events surrounding and following 9/11.

Your Calling in Christ

From the FS Training & Equipping Classes

Your Calling – What It Is – How to Get It

Bonnie Nelson

There are a lot of different teachings about the idea of a “Calling from God” to consider. Some people doubt there is such a thing, while others are confused about what their calling could be and some don’t have a clue of where to find it.

If this is you, welcome to Firestorm Ministry, where we believe God speaks through the prophetic gift to reveal your calling and more. Firestorm is a good place for you to link up and have fellowship with people who hear and move in the Prophetic Ministry and can help you find some answers to your questions, while at the same time, help you learn how to hear the voice of God for yourself on a deeper level.

If you think about it, all Christians are all called to Christ, to follow and obey Him. “If anyone would come after me he must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me (Luke 9:23).” The call to Jesus Himself is the ultimate call on our lives and the purpose of a divine call, or even a call to minister, is not something we create, but something He places within us.

Since everyone is seeking to find out what his or her calling is, it might be good to start with answering the question, “What is a calling?”

A calling is basically, in its simplest form, what Yahweh wants you to do, with you and through you, in your life. It includes studying the Word, listening for His Will, finding the areas in ministry where you are passionate and then, taking action to prepare for what you want to do. In other words, get prepared and go for it.

Paul was “called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ” (Rom. 1:1; 1 Cor. 1:1) and noted in his letter to the Ephesian church that God “gave some apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers (Eph. 4:11).” These roles were vital in order to “equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ (v. 12).”

So, what part of the 5 Fold Ministry do you feel you are drawn to or fit? Do you know what each of the 5 Fold Ministry Positions do? Here is a quick and easy way to remember. It is called the 5 G’s.

The Apostle: Governs (Represented by the Thumb)
The Prophet: Guides (index finger)
The Evangelist: Gathers (middle finger)
The Pastor: Guards (ring finger)
The Teacher: Grounds (little finger)

I also like to include the Intercessor, who stands in the Gap. Maybe their position involves their whole body standing in the gap, raising up a wall, praying and warring for our protection.

Notice I said earlier, a calling in its simplest form involves finding out what God wants to do with you….and through you….in your life. We are all called into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Everything else flows out and from that commitment. Receiving Christ is first. When you accepted Christ, His Spirit entered you and now, He “co-labors” with you, to guide you, train you and establish your position in His Kingdom, first on earth and then, in the hereafter.

Wondering what it means to co-labor with God? I Corinthians 3:9 says:

For we are God’s coworkers. You are God’s field, God’s building.

God did not call you into a ministry position for you to work alone. Avoid the tendency to be a “Lone Ranger.” Get on the team in the House of God, where you can associate with other believers and be involved in ministry. Being connected with Godly leaders and people who are moving with God can bring wise counsel, much needed encouragement and sometimes prophetic insight to help you in the search for your calling .

The Church is also a place for us to pray for others and as we help people and grow in our relationships, God will increase our faith and gifts. If you are faithful in the little things, He will give you more and another aspect for us to consider is, the House of God is the incubator for ministry callings. Selah!

Be careful not to idolize, imitate or become a cookie cutter copy of other pastors or leaders, as God created you to be you and their purpose, is not your purpose. Ephesians 2:10

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

So, we are created for good works, not saved by our good works. We are called to do good works, which God prepared us to do a long time ago. When we get saved, we are set apart by God for His purpose and the Calling He has for us does not stop at our salvation, it begins with salvation. This is where “your calling” is birthed in the natural.

Receiving Christ is the kick start and even though we are not perfect vessels, He is more than able to mold and shape us to be able do His Will here on earth. In His co-laboring with us, He will stir up those things He placed inside of us, which we need to fulfill our calling, just like He did for Jeremiah and in our journey with Him, we are being transformed into His Image.

The foundation of the call God has given us, invites us to join with Him as co-laborers and tell everyone “The Good News” about Jesus and what His death offers us. Jesus restored the link for us to get back into the family of God and it is crucial for people to hear and understand, the truth about what the death and resurrection of Jesus really means to them, in plain language – Resurrected Eternal Life.

Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life. 1 John 2:24

As a disciple of Christ, this is our calling, to preach the gospel. Mark 16:15 and Acts 3:6 confirm this as part of our calling.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15

In Acts 3:6 Peter said, silver and gold have I none but “who” I have I give to you. This is the original translation changed later to, but such as I have, I give to you. The calling is to give Jesus to the people God brings to us.

Understanding your call will also reveal what part of the 5 Fold ministry you are best fitted for, with the purpose of training and equipping “The Body of Christ – the Saints – His Church.” Those of us, who are called to the Prophetic Ministry have I Corinthians 14:3 as a guideline for our purpose.

But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

The true purpose of prophecy is to build up, admonish and stir up, encourage and release from pain and discomfort, and to enable people to know and understand the heartbeat of their God for themselves. (Graham Cooke)

Just as John laid his heart on the chest of Jesus and heard his heartbeat, we are to lay our lives at the feet of Jesus and be obedient to hear His still small voice and release His Words, as we ministry to those in His Church. I Kings 19:11-13

11 Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire [a]a still small voice.

13 So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?

So, are you in a cave? Stop and come out of there and listen. God will reveal where He needs you and who you are in Him. Are you ready, are you prepared to teach and train and claim your calling, your destiny? If so, I can guarantee it will always involve some kind of a risk to come out of the cave and getting into the midst of the battle. You will be stretched and find out what it really means to get out there on that limb. You probably didn’t want to hear that.

What kind of risk? Whatever it is which is holding your calling back and silencing your prophetic voice. It might be a type of fear, fear of not being worthy, failure, being embarrassed, fear of thinking your anointing is not supernatural enough to “compete” with other prophets. Whatever the excuse, it is the first hurdle for you to jump, NO, to crash through and fly like an eagle.

But what about faith? Risk or Faith? We have all been told faith is all we need, just believe, have faith. But, there are times when you will have to stretch your faith and step out of the boat to go with Jesus and take (seize or capture) your calling in order to move into your ministry.

What if you sink? Jesus will pull you back up! That is not much of a miracle compared to some of the things He has already done for you and I. Is it? I still believe TRUST in Jesus is one, if not the most important mindset or gifts to have, when moving in the prophetic. It is also interesting to note, finding your calling can involve finding out what you don’t do well. So, don’t get stuck in the mud, now you know, move and try something else. I have a friend who wanted to be an opera singer, but she could not sing opera, so she did the next best thing. She got a job working in a Opera House where she could be around what she loved and support those who could sing. She got on the team.

If you have the desire in your soul, a passion to do ministry with Jesus, you will have to commit and put it all on the line. In plain language – “go for it.” Francis Chan writes in Crazy Love:

“But God doesn’t call us to be comfortable. He calls us to trust Him, so completely, that we are unafraid to put ourselves in situations where we will be in trouble, if He doesn’t come through.”

Bingo!! But, think on this….If you knew that you knew, the God who created the universe, the God who moves mountains, pounded the walls of Jericho straight down into the ground, parted the seas, heals the sick and broken-hearted, raised Jesus from the dead and was on your side, what risk would you take today? What would you quit doing? What would you start doing?

It is good to remind ourselves, Jesus is not just on our side, He is on the inside of us, going wherever we go, watching everything we do and listening to what we are saying. Interesting don’t you think? Surely you can hear Him telling you, He needs to work with you, because of all the junk going on in the world and the church today.

The world encourages us to find out what entertains us, not to find our calling in Jesus. The world wants us to have fun and be comfortable. So, we strive to get more “stuff” than our neighbors and we are told to follow how we feel, just be happy and be. The World System loves us to buy what we want on credit, don’t worry, just enjoy life and pursue happiness.

However, when you are chasing God’s will for your life, you are going to have to use your faith and TRUST God, to know that you know, He has called You to Himself and He is the one working inside you, to accomplish all He has begun. Finding your position in the Church and stepping into your ministry is hard work and not an easy road to follow, especially when you begin to preach Jesus and He even warned us. If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you too. ( John 15:20) Can you see it happening today? I can!

So, are you thinking right now, no one can stop me from fulfilling my calling and quoting, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and if our God is for us, who can be against us?” (Philippians 4:13/Romans 8:31) There is one enemy you have who can override God.

Did you realize you can be against your calling? If you are called to co-labor with God and you are speaking against what He has called you to do, guess what? You can nullify/stop, your calling. He will not go against your will.

It is important to stop and listen to what we are speaking over ourselves and our calling. Our words have the power of life and death. Oh, I can’t do this, I could never be like Johnny or Mary. I am not anointed enough to do what they do. I can’t hear God’s voice, I am just a lowly sinner. Oh woe is me. I am doomed to sit back here on the pew. Is this you?

Let me remind you of what is written in I John 2:27.

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you [a]will abide in Him.

What is the anointing?

In Bible times, people were anointed, smeared with oil to signify God’s blessing or call on a person’s life (Exodus 29:7; Exodus 40:9; 2 Kings 9:6; Ecclesiastes 9:8; James 5:14).

A person was anointed for a special purpose—to be a king, to be a prophet, to be a builder, etc. There is nothing wrong with anointing a person with oil today. We do it every Sunday at Victory Christian Church. However, it is important to make sure the purpose of anointing, is in agreement with Scripture.

Anointing someone should not be viewed as a “magic potion.” The oil itself does not have any power. It is only God who can anoint a person for a specific purpose. If we use oil, it is only a symbol of what God is doing in the spirit realm.

Another meaning for the word anointed is “chosen one.” The Bible says that Jesus Christ was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit to spread the Good News and free those who have been held captive by sin (Luke 4:18-19; Acts 10:38).

After Christ left the earth, He gave US the gift of the Holy Spirit when we received Him (John 14:16).

TODAY – ALL Christians who receive Christ are anointed and chosen for a specific purpose in furthering God’s Kingdom (1 John 2:20). It is wise not to run around trying to get another person’s anointing, when we already have the one Jesus received and then gave to us. Should we not be preparing and equipping ourselves through the Word, fine tuning our gifts and focusing on OUR calling, place, purpose and ministry in Christ instead?

The Spirit of Christ is in you, He is the Spirit of Prophecy and will reveal your calling, you don’t need a hundred different anointings, from a hundred different people to make your anointing more powerful. You have been set apart and everything you need was placed in you before you were in your mother’s womb. Christ is working in you to bring those things to the surface and then, molding, shaping, fine tuning them to enable you, to train and equip His Church – The Saints.

Christ within you holds all the keys to your calling and destiny. Seek Him.

Jeremiah 29:13. “And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.”

All of your gifts come from above, not from here on earth and are deposited in you.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17

“Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee” (2 Corinthians 1:21-22).

God has many things for us to do to walk into and fulfill our calling.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Luke 4:18

We are called to love people (Matthew 5:46), It’s harder to love some people than others, just so you know.

Serve the least of these (Mathew 25:40).

Make Disciples, encourage & share our faith (Matt 28:19).

Be a light wherever we go (Matthew 5:16) and more.

According to Ephesians 2:10 we are “God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

You may already have an idea of some of your calling, but is there more? What is it that breaks your heart when you see it? What calls you to sign up on the help list? What is it that excites you and is the real passion in your heart? Listen to what is God saying to you right now.

“I appointed you and called you as a _____________.”

Fill in the blank if you know something you’ve been appointed or assigned to do.

Jeremiah 1:4-10 says, before he was ever born, he was called by God as a prophet and we all know, he gave excuses of why he could not be a prophet. If you have been given a prophetic word regarding your calling, do you have a list of excuses or limitations of why you can’t fulfill it? Then repent right now, in the Name of Yahshua/Jesus. And start preparing, learning, so you can line up with who God has told you – you are.

Know this. When God appoints, He also empowers. He is faithful to provide all you need. Your calling or assignment is not about your ability. It’s about God’s ability. He loves to work through ALL our weaknesses and astound the wise. Everyone knows when God is working in your life, because they know you could never do the things you are doing without Him, backing you up.

Paul tells us: “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9) NIV.

It is even more revealing in the KJV: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

So, shake off the list of reasons you can’t do this or that, because it is not about you, it’s about the Can Do God, Yahweh, who abides in you. He is the one “called” the “God of the Impossible” and Nothing is too hard for Him.

One more thing. Don’t let any spirit of anxiety or worry plague you regarding your calling. Paul warns us about this.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but pray about everything and present your requests to God, and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ. (Phil. 4:6-7)

When Yahweh calls you and begins a work in you
He will perfect and finish it
In you – through you and – with you
You are Made Complete in Christ
