FS Word of Power – “Rejoice” – 06/09/21

“Rejoice”

Sometimes we forget. Sometimes we don´t realize. Today I feel an urgency to remind you- that If you have received Christ, if you are born again- then YOU are filled with HOLY SPIRIT! I can hear you say “YES”… but do you realize what that really means?

1 Corinthians 3:16 ESV ”Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit wells in you?” When believers say Jesus lives “in their heart,” little kids might picture a tiny Jesus inside them. Older people might think Jesus “living in them” is just a warm spiritual feeling.

But God “indwelling” us is more than that. The Bible sometimes says the “Spirit of Christ” lives inside believers (Romans 8:9). More often it says the “Spirit of God” (Romans 8:9) or just the “Holy Spirit” is in us (1 Corinthians 6:19). Those phrases all mean the same thing: when we believe, God establishes a relationship with us that’s so close that we become one with him. He’s in us, and we’re in him.

• The Holy Spirit makes us “alive with Christ” (Ephesians 2:5).
• The Holy Spirit resuscitates and regenerates us so that we can see and understand the things of God (John 3:3; 1 Corinthians 2:12).
• The Holy Spirit gives us ears to hear and respond to the call of the gospel (John 6:44), resulting in salvation and holiness.
• The Holy Spirit is our very own “caseworker” for adoption into God’s family as child

ren and heirs (Romans 8:15 – 16).
• Even before we hear the gospel, the Holy Spirit is working to empower the message (Romans 1:16) and the messenger (1 Corinthians 2:3 – 4).

Live in the Power of the Holy Spirit!

There is no secret formula that makes the Spirit’s power operational in our lives. Scripture tells us that the Spirit dwells and operates in us (1 Corinthians 6:19). We have to learn by experience through interaction with God to understand how that dynamic works.

God promised back in the Old Testament to send his Spirit to cause us to obey him (Ezekiel 36:27), and Jesus said the Spirit will come to comfort and teach us. Whenever you change and become more like Jesus, that’s a sign of the Spirit working in you (Galatians 5:22 – 23).

Do you realize that the same power- the same Spirit that created the whole Universe lives inside you? Take a moment and think about that! The key is to RELEASE the Spirit within you! And OBEY whatever the Holy Spirit wants you to do or say or prophecy!

It’s like sitting in a brand-new FERRARI- nothing happens until you hit the gas pedal! If we allow the Holy Spirit to use us- ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

God Bless

“Rejoice”

FS Word of Power- May 26th

“Rejoice”

  This morning during my prayer time I was touched to read the following verses in 1 Chronicles 16. I have highlighted a few words/verses which really resonated in my spirit and my heart! Let´s read first:

O give thanks to the Lord, call on His name;
Make His deeds known among the peoples.

Sing to Him, sing praises to Him;

Speak of all His wonders.
10
Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
11
Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face continually [longing to be in His presence].
12
Remember [with gratitude] His marvelous deeds which He has done, His miracles and the judgments from His mouth,
13
O seed of Israel His servant,

[b]Children of Jacob, His chosen ones!
14
He is the Lord our God;
His judgments are in all the earth.
15
Be mindful of His covenant forever,
The promise which He commanded and established to a thousand generations,
16
The covenant which He made with Abraham,
And His oath (sworn promise) to Isaac.
17
He confirmed it as a statute to Jacob,
And to Israel as an everlasting covenant,

22

Do not touch My anointed ones,
And do My prophets no harm.”
23
Sing
to the Lord, all the earth;

Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
24
Declare His glory
among the nations,

His marvelous works among all peoples.
25
For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
He is also to be feared [with awe-filled reverence] above all gods.
26
For all the gods of the peoples are [lifeless] idols,
But the Lord made the heavens.
27
Splendor and majesty are [found] in His presence;
Strength and joy are [found] in His place (sanctuary).
28
Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
Ascribe to the Lord glory and honor and strength.
29
Ascribe to the Lord the glory and honor due His name;
Bring an offering [of thanksgiving], and come before Him;
Worship
the Lord in the splendor of holiness.
30

Tremble [reverently] before Him, all the earth;
The world is firmly established, it will not be moved.
31
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;
And let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.”

32

Key words: Make, speak, sing, proclaim, declare, ascribe, bring, worship, and say…

 The above mentioned are ALL-VERBS! We are the ones to carry out his commands! We are his chosen people. We are the ones to worship and to bring honor to him. You know, when we are obedient to his word- something marvelous happens, verse 27” Splendor and majesty are [found] in His presence; Strength and joy are [found] in His place (sanctuary).”

OH what joy are found in his presence. He is waiting for you today to proclaim his word! To rejoice before him shouting: The Lords reigns!” He will come with his Glory; he will bless you with his presence and will LIFT YOU UP! He will give you strength and amaze you with his splendor! Oh what a God we serve- Hallelujah! It´s time to do some rejoicing.

SPEAK LIFE in Jesus´ Name! – 05/12/21

FS Word of Power

SPEAK LIFE in Jesus´ Name!
Did you know that Jesus Christ has already secured?

Did you know that Jesus Christ has already secured your victory to overcome anything that Satan throws at you? He has. When you view your life through that lens, it takes the pressure off and frees you to walk confidently in the strength of the One who has already won. It even changes the way you talk. Instead of speaking in uncertainties, you can now talk with authority and hope. You can speak words of life.

Every time you repeat a negative, defeating statement or speak a hopeless thought, you are handing satan a stick with which to knock you on the head. Every time you say, “If things get better,” or “If God comes through,” or “I just don’t know if I’m going to make it,” you are giving Satan permission to defeat you. You are loading the bullets into his already emptied gun.

On the contrary, God says to use his WORD and the strength found in it to speak life into any situation you are facing in life. Uncover and discover God’s perspective on whatever it is you are facing and speak his truths to God, yourself, others, satan and his demons by the authority of Jesus Christ and in His name. Speaking something has great significance. Christ said He came to “proclaim release to the captives” (Luke 4:18) shortly before securing that release on the cross. He also instructed us to “proclaim (His) death until He comes” (1 Corinthians 11:26) each time we take communion. To proclaim something is to speak it, whether in words or actions. Speak life in Jesus’ name.

Jesus Christ spoke life to those who were dead and they were raised to life again. Jesus Christ spoke life to those who were possessed with demons and they were delivered and set free. Jesus spoke life to the lepers and they were cleansed. Jesus spoke life to the woman caught in adultery and her life was changed forever. Jesus spoke life to the woman at the well and she became a living well for the people of her city.
Although Jesus Christ is no longer here in a physical form, he is still speaking life. He is at the right hand of the Father making intercession for people. He is praying for those who have not yet had their spiritual awakening so that they can experience the abundant life and the eternal life that he died for on the cross! He is seeing them as the children of God that they are: perfect, whole and complete.

Today – let me encourage you to follow the example of Christ: to speak life! Allow him to use your VOICE prophetically and to speak his words! Become a TRANSFORMER who changes darkness into light, death to life and hopelessness into faith!

SPEAK LIFE! – May 5, 2021

SPEAK LIFE!

I love the month of May! It´s my favorite time of the year! (No, not Christmas). I love this season because everything comes to LIFE! It is truly a miracle. I believe that the Holy spirit has a message: it is TIME to come alive! It is TIME to speak LIFE! It is time to prophesy and to breathe LIFE into things that need to be resurrected in our lives and our nations! How? Allow me to show you- let´s read:

Ezekiel 37:4 (ESV) Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

Ezekiel 37:7 (ESV) So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a sound, and behold, a rattling, and the bones came together, bone to its bone.

We need to remember that:

-Ezekiel was to speak the word of the lord over the dead bones.

-As He did the scattered and separated bones began to come into alignment.

-The bones represented a spiritually dry and dead nation.

-By speaking into a hopeless situation as the Lord directed the situation began to change.

How to pray/prophesy for example:

Lord, I speak life change, rearrangement and alignment with your will and purpose over my life, those I love and my church and nation. Help me continue to pray these prophetic words regularly and with urgency. I prophesy life over my spiritual walk, my church family and our community.  I declare that your vision for what can be, will become my vision, my passion and my heart.

Join me this month as we proclaim, prophesy and speak forth LIFE!

 “HEADS UP!”

 Proverbs 4:25-27 (The Voice)

25 Keep your head up, your eyes straight ahead,
    and your focus fixed on what is in front of you.
26 Take care you don’t stray from the straight path,

    the way of truth, and you will safely reach the end of your road.
27 Do not veer off course to the right or the left;
    step away from evil and leave it behind.

The book of Proverbs instructs how to SUCCEED in our attempt to reach our goal: destination HEAVEN! Reading verses 25-27 in chapter 4 it all sounds so easy: heads up, eyes fixed ahead and walking straight! But in reality, it is hard not to lose focus, it´s difficult not get sidetracked and keep on the right way. Why? Well- the enemy is busy trying to prevent us from becoming who we are called to be ambassadors of Christ. But sometimes it´s just us- we just cave in after being tempted and feel guilty and ashamed. Even Apostle Paul knew of the battle between flesh and spirit: “Romans 7:19-20 “For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.”

But PRAISE GOD there is HOPE!  Paul continues by reminding us :What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

 The Word instructs us to keep our eyes on Jesus! Follow hard after Him…and He will make all your paths sure and straight! TO HELP US FOCUS FORWARD AND FOLLOW CHRIST allow me to encourage with the following:

First thing in the morning, will you,

 Through prayer, seek God’s presence and help with every event, every encounter, every decision that will come to you?

 Throughout the day, will you,

Pray for grace to choose activities and relationships that will delight God’s heart and build His kingdom?

 Last thing at night, will you,

Give praise to God for His constant help, His abiding love, and His leading you forward throughout the day?

If your answer is YES- it will help you to stay focused and overcome any enemy attacks on your spiritual walk with Christ. If you are determined and keep your HEAD UP- you hear Him say one day: WELCOME home!

// Blessings,

“Walking in HIS Power” – April 14, 2021

FS Word of Power

April 14, 2021

Eva Windahl

“Walking in HIS Power”

 We are filled with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and yet too often we live like we are powerless. God is inviting us to walk in His immeasurably great power to affect massive change in the circumstances and lives around us for his glory. Let´s read from:

 Romans 8:11 “…the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you”

1 Peter 1.3: “According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

1 Corinthians 6.14: “God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.”

We weren’t saved and set free by God to be passive spectators during the hardships of life. Too often Christians sit on the sidelines watching the battle rage before them believing the lie that they have no influence on the outcome. We disqualify ourselves because we aren’t strong enough or mature enough or together enough to impact the negative situations we see. We pray earnestly for God to do something about that broken relationship, the devastating sickness, or a terrible addiction but don’t know what more we can do because we don’t really know who we are.  It points back to the lie that deep down we believe we “don’t have what it takes” when scripture after scripture says we have been made new and are identified with Christ. Paul tells us that “the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you” (Romans 8:1). What Paul is saying is profound and can be particularly hard to believe. Every child of God is filled with his resurrection power! You see, when Jesus saved us, he made us new and he filled us with his Spirit – the same Spirit that raised him from the dead. Christ has equipped us to be influencers not spectators on this Earth.

His resurrection power flows through us giving us authority to call things into being, power to bind the lies of the Devil and loose the promises of God, power to define the people around us in accordance with Heaven’s perspective rather than man’s, power to cast out demons, and power to heal the sick. Too often we forget that the enemy’s power is nothing in comparison to the resurrection power of Jesus at work in us and through us. I pray today you are encouraged to walk confidently in your true identity, a child of God, wielding the power of God to affect change on this Earth. We were not crafted and called to be a passive but an army of conquerors pushing back darkness and ushering in the promises of Heaven on this Earth. So, therefore- LET US WALK IN HIS POWER!

 He is MORE!

We read about the glorious entrance in Luke 19:11- “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’ ” Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?” They replied, “The Lord needs it.” They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road. When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

After entering the Holy city of Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, which in Israel is the first day of the week, Yeshua continues to explain to his disciples that he would be crucified shortly.
Jesus had become somewhat of a celebrity among people who had heard of the miraculous raising of Lazarus from the dead, and they wanted to see Him and treat Him like a king. But Jesus wasn’t to be their earthly king just yet. His aim was to become something more! And far greater than any of his disciples or even his immediate family were able to fathom … yet.

The Messiah had come to not only fulfill the prophecies but to live out the will of his father!

Here is what I hear the Father say this week: “My son is greater! He is more! “ Paul declares in 1 Cor 2:9 “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him.”  The Messiah is not only our Savior, our High priest, our Redeemer and King of Kings- he is more! Yeshua himself is the son of GOD! Yes – the second person in the Godhead. He is the Holy one of Israel! And he will return once more! He will once more enter through the Golden Gate of Jerusalem and stand on the Mount of Olives splitting it in two.

Lord God, I give you thanks and I bless you, Lord, open my eyes that I may see him coming, and may praise him with a pure heart. And may walk in the way of his suffering and share also in his resurrection. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.

“Be filled with the Spirit”

There are days when many of us feel empty – powerless- worn out. The other day God reminded me a word in Zechariah 4:6 “So he said to me, This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of Hosts.” If you are a Christian, the Holy Spirit already dwells within you. When you purchase a mechanical item that runs on batteries, frequently the notice “Batteries Not Included” is printed on the box. The Holy Spirit -your source of power for living – is “included” when you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. He came to live within you when you became a Christian, and Jesus promised that He will never leave you. The Holy Spirit also baptized you into the body of Christ. In 1 Corinthians 12:13, Paul explains, “We were all baptized by one Spirit into one body.” There is but one indwelling of the Holy Spirit, one rebirth of the Holy Spirit, and one baptism of the Holy Spirit – all of which occur when you receive Christ. Being filled with the Holy Spirit, however, is not a once-for-all experience. There are many fillings, as is made clear in Ephesians 5:18 “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit”. When “filling” is mentioned in scripture, it can mean all sorts of great things:

· To be made full.
· Or, to occupy to full capacity.
· Also, to satiate.
· In the same fashion, to have plenty.
· By the same token, to meet the needs.
· Or, to satisfy.

In Psalm 81:10 we read that: “For it was I, the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will FILL IT with good things.”
It`s a lot like driving a car- and it doesn´t matter if you are driving a Ferrari or Buick, a brand-new car or an old one- they ALL need gas or in other words FUEL! Being filled with the Holy Spirit is all about refueling your gas tank! It takes energy when you serve God and are maintaining an active Christian lifestyle. After a while- if not careful- you run out of gas and start to feel worn out. How do we refill? Five things you can do to stay filled with the Holy
Spirit. They are:

1. Pray- when you start to feel empty
2. Pray -when you need his presence and be FILLED!
3. Pray- in the SPIRIT- use your prayer language
4. Pray- at ALL TIMES
5. Pray- and don´t quit until you feel refreshed!

A Great Treasure Box!

One of my favorite books of the bible is the books of Proverbs. It really is a great treasure box of practical wisdom inspired by God. Each proverb is a short statement that addresses every day, familiar situations to teach moral, ethical and spiritual principles. These principles apply to all people. The real appeal of this remarkable book is that it contains practical wisdom, understanding and knowledge that people can understand easily, at least on the surface.

The Book of Proverbs is full of great tips and advice – and wisdom is praised more than anything else – more than 100 times.

It is also King Solomon’s great volume of wisdom. Proverbs deals with various aspects of the human experience and guides us in the way of right living. The book also encourages us to seek after wisdom, while also telling us where that wisdom can be found. This wisdom must be sought like buried treasure. It also must be viewed as a precious jewel. We must seek after it diligently and not let go of it for all our days. The truth is true wisdom always begins with God. Ultimately, the book teaches that wisdom can be found, but only by those who search for it with all their heart.

One of my favorites is from Proverbs 3:33 “The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous.” It´s a great word of power! it refers to our physical home, where we live and also our spiritual home since our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it is blessed because where God dwells there are his blessings and favor. YOU are favored and blessed if you are filled with his Spirit. Think about for a moment! The wicked are cursed-but YOU and your house is blessed! What kind of blessings are we talking about? Let´s look at the following scriptures and you will find GREAT TREASURES:

Deuteronomy 28:2-8 (NLT) “You will experience all these blessings IF you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in your towns and in the country. You will be blessed with many children and productive fields. You will be blessed with fertile herds and flocks. You will be blessed with baskets overflowing with fruit, and with kneading bowls filled with bread. You will be blessed wherever you go, both in coming and in going. The Lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you… And the Lord will bless everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain.”

Psalm 31:19 (NLT) “God wants to bless you visibly in front of others as a testimony. “Lord, you have stored up great blessings for those who honor you. You do much for those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.”

Ezekiel 34:26 (NLT) “God blesses you so you can be a blessing to others! “I will cause my people and their homes around my holy hill to BE a blessing. And I will send showers, showers of blessings, which will come just when they are needed.” Ezekiel 34:26 (NLT)

THANK you, Lord, for all your blessings!

FS WORD OF POWER – You Are Family! – 05/20/20

YOU Are Family!

All families are not alike. There are three different ways one can enter a family: we can be born into a family in which case it is LIFE that secures the relationship. Secondly, we can be adopted into a family in which case it is LAW that secures the child and provides the same rights as the other children have. Or thirdly, we can marry into a family, in which case it is LOVE that secures the covenant between husband and wife.

In our family we are blessed with three children: two biological sons and one daughter, adopted from China. We love all our children the same, each one is unique and a true miracle and gift from God. We also have another daughter, placed in our care by social services. She is the youngest and enjoys the same rights, benefits and love as all of our children.

In 1 John 3:1 we read that we are called children of GOD! What a privilege! The Holy Spirit puts us in the family of God by BIRTH when we are born again. The Father is the one who adopts us and the Son, Yeshua, is the one who lay down his life for us, his bride, and through his indescribable act of LOVE he puts us in God´s family through marriage. The first thing we´ll do entering heaven is attending a wedding feast. OUR wedding! WE are the bride and Yeshua will welcome each one of us personally.

If that is not enough- all the Angels will be cheering on as we proceed towards the throne while God, our father, is welcoming us home!

This reminds me of the story of the prodigal son – the one who left his family, his father and brother and spend all his inheritance in the world- until one day- he remembered how blessed and privileged he was being part of his family. Still on his way back to his father´s house – he suddenly sees his own father running towards him with open arms welcoming him back. He is home! Once again. Forever.

Reading 1 John 3: 1, I can hardly fathom why God would allow me to be part of his own family. I haven´t done anything to earn it. On the contrary- there was a time in my life – I wanted nothing to do with him. Mostly because I didn´t know who he really was. Until one day- the day he opened my eyes completely and I began to run- to run into his arms and I heard him say: WELCOME HOME, my child! And now I understand what family is all about. It is being LOVED unconditionally.

Today, let me encourage you: You are not alone! God wants you to be part of his family! You are welcome back- no matter has happened! You are LOVED!
