The 7 Blessings of the Feast of the Passover

The 7 Blessings of the Feast of the Passover

Jim Mellard

Hosea 4:6 states My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:  because thou has rejected knowledge.  I will also reject thee, that thou shall be no priest to me; seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children”.

There are three main feasts, The Passover, Pentecost, and the feast of the Tabernacles.  Of course these are all Jewish feasts and I am not Jewish. One does not have to be Jewish to receive the blessings of God.

According to 2nd Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

I am a new creature created in His image and likeness and all
things have become new. As He is so am I!

We can receive the blessings of God; simply by praying and asking God to send them to us.

John 14:14 – Ask anything in my name and I will do it.

The feast of the Passover was celebrated to keep in remembrance the deliverance of the Hebrews from Egypt.  Palm Sunday celebrates the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, marking the beginning of Holy week that culminates in Easter or Paschal. In some churches Palm Sunday is celebrated with the anticipation of Christ’s death and so is also known as Passion Sunday.

Take a moment here.  The Spirit of the Lord would say unto you: This is a new season for My people –A time when there will be new revelations of My Word, New ideas for business, a time of changing from asking to receiving.  A time of understandings of my ways which will bring you back to your place of dominion in the world.  For yes in this day you will see that knowledge  shall increase and , new medical cures, especially cancer, miracles signs and wonders shall be the norm …not the exception…yes this year 2014… it has already begun.  There has been a shift in the Heavens, your faith has blessed me saith the Lord.  2014 is going to be a suddenly time ..This is that time that was prophesied and it is beginning to rain…(anointing).

This Passover shall be as Deuteronomy 16:16

We are going to begin in Exodus 12: 12-14 & 17

Up to date – Exodus 12:1-12 tells us that this season shall be a new
beginning of months…The Lord spoke that at the beginning of this
teaching…  A new beginning… It shall be the first month of the year to you.

Nisan is the first month of the Jewish calendar. The first commandment given to the newly born nation of Israel before the Exodus from Egypt was: “This month [the month of Nisan] shall be for you the first of the months” (Exodus 12:2) In addition, Nisan is the first of the six summer months, which correspond to six levels of direct light (in Divine service–“arousal from above”). This is alluded to in its synonym “the  month of spring” (אביב), whose first two letters, alef (א) and beit (ב), are in the direct or straight order of the Hebrew alphabet.

Nisan is also referred to as “the month of the redemption.” According to the accepted opinion of our sages: “In Nisan our forefathers were redeemed from Egypt and in Nisan we will be redeemed” (Rosh Hashanah 11a).

Nisan is a month of miracles, as its name stems from the Hebrew word for “miracles” (ניסים). The fact that the name Nisan (ניסן) possesses two nouns (נ and ן) implies according to the sages to “miracles of miracles” (ניסי ניסים). Of the future redemption, it is said: “As the days of your exodus from Egypt, I shall reveal to him wonders.” In Chassidut this verse is explained to mean that the wonders of the redemption of the future will be wondrous and miraculous even relative to the miracles of the Exodus from Egypt–hence “miracles of miracles”

Now the instructions were this.

Take a lamb or kid according of the size of the family (if family is too small) share a Lamb that is without blemish. Kill it on the 14 day, take the blood and put it on each side of  the post of your door.

Verse 8 is important – You shall roast with fire. Similitude -Jesus went to Hell.  I will leave it there.

Verse 9 – eat it all  (similitude – receive all that Jesus has done for us.)

Salvation, baptism, healing… peace… We don’t always do this.

Exodus 12: 12  –  I will pass over…the blood

Exodus 13:  – The blood of Jesus. Will cover your sins…

Exodus 14: – a feast, a memorial  and you shall keep it.

This is why we call and celebrate the Passover. He {Passover} the
ones that believe.

Exodus 23: 20-21

1.     God will assign an Angel to you…

Verse 22…

Behold I send an Angel before you to keep and guard you on the way and tow bring you to the place I have prepared.

Who is this Angel?  Who commands obedience from Israel?  (you and me) and has the right of judgment over us.?  We only know the names of a few Angels, Michael, Gabriel –Yes, I know there is another one.  But neither Michael nor Gabriel could command obedience from Israel much less presume to sit in judgment over them.  This is the specific Angel of the Lord, Jesus appearing in the Old Testament before his incarnation in Bethlehem, and who speaks directly as the Lord.

 We find the answer in

Exodus 33:14 – And he said, My presence sill go with thee, and I will give there rest..

Isaiah 63:9 – In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel
of His presence saved them in His love and in His pity, He redeemed them and He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

Matthew 28:18 – All power is given to me uneven and earth.

Exodus 23:24 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hitties, and the Perizzites, and the
Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusities; and I will cut them off.

The Angel goes before them (us) into the place which God has prepared.  But Jesus goes before us to prepare a place for us in Heaven

John 14: 2-30 but the place we walk in today was prepared by God and where we will walk tomorrow is prepared  by Him also.

Do you serve addictions? Do you serve your flesh?

This is certainly a promise of God to keep us on track, and guide us into the place that He has prepared for us.  The Angel goes before us is into the place before us to prepare a place for us in Heaven as we see in John 14:2-3.  “In My Fathers’ house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there ye; may be also.”

But the place we walk today was prepared by God , and where we will walk tomorrow is prepared by Him also.

2.  God will be an enemy to your enemies

Exodus 23:22  But if thou shall indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies and as adversary unto thine adversaries..

Verse 21  obey the Angel for He will not forgive you

Do you  remember the story in Luke1:20 how the Angel struck Zechariah dumb?

It was a characteristic of the Mosaic covenants, that blessing was based on your performance.  If your obeyed you were blessed, if not your are cursed.  Believers operated in a different principle, we are blessed with the blessings of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.   The spiritual, financial and the physical. God does not operate under PA (performance acceptance)

3.  God Will Give You Prosperity

Exodus 23:25  Believers operated in a different principle, we are
blessed with the blessings of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob = which is the Physical, Spiritual and Financial Blessings.

In 3 John 1:2  we are told that God wants these blessings for us.
Beloved I wish above all things that you prosper and be in good health as your soul does prosper.

In Philippics 4:19  we are told that My God shall supply all your needs according to His(your) riches in glory by Christ Jesus..

4.  God will take the sickness away from you – If he is going to take
it away from you, he certainly did not put it on you.

Exodus 23:25  And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.  We know that God did not put the sickness own you.  Understand this, when you have the Word of God on a matter. It is done deal.  Do not misunderstand…there will be a fight but you already have the victory promised.  Jesus did it for you.

5.  You WIll Not Be Barren, Now Will You Miscarry

Exodus 23:26   No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land. There will certainly be an increase in this congregation. No more barren wombs, no miscarriages.  Just fruit.  Now this not only covers the people but the possessions.  Business, relationships, anything that you put your hand to.  You will be the head not the tail.

6.  Exodus 23:26 – God will see that you have long life.

The number of thy days will be fruitful.  During Noah’s time, however, God declared an end to these long life spans: “Then the Lord said, ‘My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh, but his days shall be a hundred and twenty years’” (Genesis 6:3). Today, the record age for humans is right at the 120-year level, just as God stated in Genesis.

The number of days refers to the length of days that you will spend here on earth…but in health.

Psalms 55:23   but thou O God shall bring them down unit the pit of distractions bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half of their days, but I will trust in thee…This is the blessings of the righteous for wicked men live not out half of their days.

7.  God will give you a supernatural year of increase.

Exodus 28:30 – Tells how He will do it.

God may grant, but we must possess, he withholds our possession of many things until we will partner with Him in bold faith and obedience.

Psalm 55:23  But thou O God shall bring them down unto the pit of destruction bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days, but I will trust in thee.  The blessings of the righteous, for wicked men shall not shall not live out half their days.

We have been granted every spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ, but will only possess that which we will partner with Him in faith and obedience to receive.

God is not an indulgent, possessing father, pouring out His hidden resources, blessings and gifts that are not ready are able to receive or be responsible with.

Blessings and gifts that are not ready to be received, or more
importantly to be responsible in their use.

The Passover unleashes God’s supernatural blessings not only in our life but the Passover gives us the opportunity to break out of the ordinary and begin living the extraordinary life God intended; Full of His blessings and provisions for our physical , spiritual and financial needs.
